Dr. Rhoten is fine for regular dental business, but I would advise against using him for a occlusal guard. I had regular jaw pain before, but I was in life altering chronic pain for months while trying out the guard and getting adjustments. Even though I shelled out hundreds on the piece I had to start using my old retainer piece just to function. He's a fine person and regular Dr., but please use caution in regard to jaw issues. This experience was very upsetting and I will not be returning because of it.

I usually just fall asleep. The hygenist that I get rotates, so I don't have much to say there other than everyone I've seen has been good. I usually see Dr. Han, who I'm definitely a fan of. The dude plays practical jokes on the other staff members (which can make your appointment more entertaining than you were expecting it to be). I've been through a root canal with them, and I think they were pretty good about it, though I don't have any other experience to compare it with. It took 4 hours (Dr. Han's record), and it wasn't awful. They're also willing to work the system for you, so that's pretty sweet.

Juan says they don't do that and will refer me elsewhere! WHAT? How long has this been policy. He says year year half. Hmmm I've only had mine for about 8 months!! So I asked him how I got my teeth then? No answer!!!! I originally went there because they did it all! So cancelled my appointment!! This is absolutely insane! Never ever will I go back! We regretted taking our 3 week old baby there- she was mildly tongue-tied so we scheduled a 'free…read moreconsultation'. I wish it'd been just that. Dr. Mohlman persuaded us by saying she was "severely restricted", and leading me to believe she needed both tongue and labial (upper lip) frenulums "released" - the sooner the better. So we had it done that day- the laser is an intense, painful burn that takes a long time to heal. I discovered doing research after the procedure that 76% of babies can be diagnosed as 'lip-tied' and do not need treatment- they will grow out of it. It was traumatic and painful for her. Her mood shifted from happy and content to fussy and at times inconsolable. We were told after the procedure that we needed to consult with a lactation consultant and chiropractor because her mid-line base had been compromised. We didn't need either or those prior. I wish I had waited and done more research before the appointment (I'd done a fair amount, but not enough to give me sufficient confidence to disagree with a dental professional that I wanted to trust). I wish I'd not trusted him or his consultation.
