Recently relocated back to the Tri-Cities. Was referred to Creekside Dental from Miramar Clinic. First impression, I like this place. They utilized a modern approach by texting me a link to fill-out paperwork on my smartphone or computer, to be completed before my visit. This has always been a pet peeve of mine. I was able to take my time and populate the documentation leisurely at home. This should become a standard at all medical facilities. The other reviews aren't wrong. This place has changed. I've been coming to this office for years, and my regular cleanings have always been more than sufficient. I came in for a regular cleaning and ended up being pressured into unnecessary upsells. The dentist even said my teeth were in great shape, yet the staff refused to do the standard cleaning I was scheduled for and tried to charge me for a more expensive procedure even when I couldn't afford it. When I declined, they simply refused service. This place clearly prioritizes money over patient care. I left without the cleaning I came in for -- completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Normally great. However, after having bridge put in and asking the dentist with his assistant in the office if I could go ahead and schedule a general cleaning because I did not want any other type. Was told to go ahead.Did so. Called to verify the day before. No appt record. Rescheduled . Then got notified they could only do deep cleaning on me. I decided to change my initial review from 6 years ago.....to right now. Beware of insurance fraud and foul, passive aggressive females answering phones. Creekside Dental of Kennewick, Washington charged my insurance for orthodontic work even though this was a cash paid treatment. I moved across the country 10 months ago. This account was paid in full upon leaving the state (considering the last ortho appt was the day we left the state of WA. Moved across the country, 10 MONTHS later I receive a bill to my current address across the country (which I never gave them) showing a $400 balance due due to insurance terming. This was not an insurance case. Cash paid orthodontia care only. The first girl tells me, "well doctor made some adjustments to the bill after your last appointment. This is after I had made a final payment. Should we talk about the legality here? The girls at the front desk are extremely rude in regard to my questioning of the bill and put me on hold for an extended amount of time only to be routed to 3 different people; ending with Kaelyn (billing). When she needed to relocate across the country, there was no question I would be staying as a patient at Creekside. The staff, hygienists, and Dentist are all stupendous at their jobs. I am no stranger to dental work, and have had some traumatic experiences in my past. Never at Creekside. I often leave feeling refreshed. Dr. Bennett is sympathetic and compassionate when it comes to any concerns you have or concerns he has. I have never been pressured to get a procedure done. He worked with me so I have had a great long term plan put in place to work with my finances and my insurance. I appreciate how he will sit an answer every concern, question and even engage in small talk to calm any nerves I have. My husband, on the other hand, is not a talker. Dr. Bennett seems to just know what each patient needs during their visit. He gets quick to the point, no small talk. It's wonderful to know he works hard to understand each patient and their individual needs. They are one of the most Affordable dental offices in all of Tri Cities. Trust I shopped around, they do not price gouge you on a single treatment. They never "up" sell you products or procedures. They never suggest any procedure that isn't necessary. Got a bill one year after service were completed. Gossipy. They tend to put work off to the last minute as to be able to bill for additional services. For example instead of suggesting to repair an old filling, they would wait until a root canal would be indicated. Not gentle at all and they have techs do a lot of the work and had to come in many additional times to. get things adjusted as a result. They would only allow Medicaid patients to see their newer techs and not their experienced ones for cleanings and such. read more

First Visit: Friday, April 13th at 1:00 PM with Dr. Bennett. The office waiting room and back rooms were sparkling clean and bright. The staff (front and back) were friendly, kind, courteous and professional. I had a new patient exam with x-rays and it was discovered that I had a very small cavity that needed to be addressed. Dr. Bennett was very professional and kind. Second Visit: Tuesday, June 12th, 2018: I am a person who has Fibro and TMJ/Arthritis of my jaw and I need ANY dental work to be done Gently - OR it will take a few days for me to recover. Creekside Dental did not disappoint! 5:00 PM filling: They pre-numbed my tooth and numbed my tooth. Waited a decent amount of time for the area to be well and truly numb, Before they drilled. I chose to wear my headphones and listen to my music on my i-Pod. No issues with the filling, smooth sailing. 6:00 PM cleaning: Chris Cassinelli was the Hygienist that cleaned my teeth. She was kind, gentle, caring and very professional and courteous. She performed her job well and I will definitely be back again for a teeth cleaning with Chris! Had my wisdom teeth removed and wasn't fully numb. I told the dentist and he gave me another shot (jabbed it in to my mouth, it wasn't gentle) I screamed out in pain and he said good i got the right spot, this should numb it. (I have a fear of needles and that didn't help me get over it. I ended up having the tooth removed without being fully numb. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here, and I'm definitely never returning. read more

Two huge issues. First they neglected to tell me they no longer accept our insurance before our appointment or when we arrived that day. They didn't tell me until AFTER the cleanings and x-rays had been done! Now I have a bill for something that would have cost nothing anywhere that accepted our insurance. Also at this appointment they tell me my son had 4 cavities that needed to be filled fight away and another son needed 6 sealants. They asked if they could do the work right then and there and handed me a statement with what it would cost. They pressured me like car salesmen would. I was shocked about the insurance thing so of course I said no. I booked appointments for my boys with another dentist and found out my son had one one cavity (not 4!) and the other son didn't need sealants after all. They also told my adult son he needed his wisdom teeth out, which he didn't!! I feel taken advantage by this place and I am not the only one who has had these same issues. Highly recommend. Honest! They are honest from the get. For instance, they tell you if they accept your insurance before you go in not after like some offices do. Also, they apparently have listened to previous denture patients because they send you where they get the best results. They dont make quid pro quo denture deals, and don't steal your money putting bridges in an unhealthy mouth. I've been a patient of Dr. Floyd Packard's at Creekside Dental for 5 years with no issues. But I went to have my upper wisdom teeth extracted (no pain just hard to reach to clean) and a filling he advised. He came in, sat down, got his tools and I thought he was examining the area, but was already ready to pull out my tooth and my wisdom teeth were very far back and he accidentally clamped onto the tooth beside it. He pulled hard and I stopped him mid-yank, said I'm terrified you have the wrong tooth! I could feel the clamp when he pulled. He gruffly said I have the correct tooth. But then he pulled my lip back and realized he didn't and said in a nicer tone, Oh it is really far back there. Then unclamped from that tooth and adjusted to the correct one and did the work. When I got home I saw the tooth he pulled was now crooked and moved upward. I then understood the woman who worked with him, who would've been unable to see which tooth he had from her position on the opposite side of me and him, tried to cover for him when he left the room telling me your tooth is crooked did you know? You should get it fixed. I thought she meant my 3 bottom teeth that are, I didn't realize until I got home what she meant. I understand we all, even doctors, make mistakes so despite the trauma, the tooth was far back and I decided to let it go, but I couldn't eat on the right side of my mouth without excruciating pain. I thought it needed time to heal, but after 3 weeks it was worse. I hadn't confronted him about pulling the wrong tooth and hoped he'd be honest with me when I came in saying I had pain on the right side and would like a quote for braces to fix the crooked tooth, I expected an apology and offer to cover it and fix what was causing the pain. Instead he didn't mention it, gave a quote for 4,000 to get braces for the one tooth he pulled out of alignment and that I needed another filling. The lady realized it was the filling he just did and said it takes time to heal and to give it longer. I was in so much pain and upset that he wasn't taking responsibility for the damage he caused I went back to confront him. I said when he pulled the wrong tooth he may have exposed a nerve as I can't eat on my right side from terrible pain and wasn't in any pain prior to his work. It's between the tooth he almost pulled and the one he filled. He denied pulling the wrong tooth, claimed he said he had the right one all along and I asked him several times why would you say oh it is really far back there and then adjust your clamp to the other tooth if that was the case? And he just evaded the question and said we have a disagreement about what happened and all he could do was replace the filling but it's dangerous to and I might need a root canal and he doesn't do them but could suggest someone. I asked what that costs? He said it's very expensive and made it clear he wouldn't do anything to help me fix the problem he caused. They said it takes time for bone to grow in and to wait. I went home very upset. Then got a call from Danielle who said the doctor felt bad I was in pain and if I came back they'd give me numbing paste. She was nice and gave me a small tool to put in the hole. In good faith I gave it another week of eating on my left side only and applying the paste which hurt a lot. Finally I decided to get a second opinion. I brought my x-rays from prior to Dr. Packard's work and the new dentist took x-rays and photos of his own. He was kind and didn't want to throw anyone under the bus, but confirmed what I knew. He said there's a gap between the filled tooth and the tooth that was nearly pulled and a cavity behind it that could've been made by a tool and determined the new filling was causing me pain too. I had to have the filling redone and the tooth he wrongfully pulled, now at an odd angle causing issues with my chewing, extracted! I now have lost another tooth and spent more money to fix what I had already paid him to do. I'll never go back! read more

I just got back from my 6 month cleaning, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door, and despite the number of people in the waiting room, they brought me back right at my appointment time. Jasmine is my favorite hygienist- she makes sure to check in with you during cleanings, is conversational, and she also takes extra care around special appliances, such as lingual bars. Dr. Packard is always cordial and efficient, and Debbie at the front desk is sweet and accommodating. They have games for kids to play with in the waiting areas, and a ton of exam lanes so that they can get your cleaning started if one of the dentists is busy in another lane. I also got my wisdom teeth removed at this office, and the procedure went well without any complications. read more

Patients are the reason your doors stay open! You should revisit your oath for dentistry and you should require your front desk to take customer service training! The dentists and dental assistants are all friendly that I've met. The office staff is very rude. This is the second time this year that I've been treated rudely by them. Horrible customer service. I went to these guys back in 2015, and switched dentist cause they would over charge my parents, and we would have to fight with the bill. I have diabetes, it's really important to take care of my teeth. Well I had to go back to these guys because I have state insurance. They make you jump through hoops to schedule an appointment. You have to call on Monday to book through Wednesday, and call Thursday to book for Monday. It took me two months to finally get an appointment. Then the woman on the phone said there was a note saying I missed too many appointments, that they can't schedule me. I've never missed an appointment with them! And they wouldn't even listen to me. No way to handle a costumer. Wasted my time trying to schedule, just to be treated horribly. Beware. They also made me get a mouth guard for grinding my teeth. My other dentist said my teeth were perfect, that I didn't need it. Parents have gotten dental work, that never stuck, caps, root canals. Messed up there insurance. I began the tooth implant process about a year and a half ago and my insurance didn't cover any of it so I was paying completely out of pocket. Throughout the year I was making payments on this many times so the fee would be payed by the last appointment. Fortunately I finished paying off the total with a few appointments before the implant process was complete. I had been told multiple times that I had completely paid everything off and left after my last appointment. A few months after, I was called and told I had a balance for a few hundred dollars even though I had been told my balance was zero. I was told the previous price was an estimate and that I actually did owe money still. Because no insurance was billed it seems to me that there should be no estimation because they should already know the prices. The receptionists are nice but having to pay a few hundred dollars more when I was told that I didn't have a bill and was never told of any other expenses was not the right way to handle the situation and I won't be back. read more

I called in to schedule a teeth cleaning and they said no problem made me wait over a month and then when I came in they said they don't schedul or make appointments for cleanings. They have so many clients that they don't have time and put everyone on a call list. If there's a opening they just randomly call people. This place is all about making money and don't really care about there patients or others people's time. It's purpose is to make as much money as possible and get as many new customers as they can. Dentists nice, but shoddy work. I had a bridge, that was guaranteed not to break, and that cost me over $1,000 out of pocket, only to break, not only once, but twice. I then had to have a tooth pulled that was connected to it, to only have 2 tooth shards come out of my gums a month later. The financial advisor is the worst! She made a big mistake on a root canal quote, and after expressing my concern verbally and in a letter regarding my broken bridge cost, she said she would follow up with her "office manager" on questions I had, never to have my concerns addressed/no follow-up. Had a molar pulled last Thursday. The prescription the dentist gave was for pain meds that none of the pharmacies here carried. It was a special order item. I went back to the office to see if I could get something else, but they were closed. I went back Friday morning to find them, again, closed. I called their emergency number, and was connected to the office manager. I explained the situation, only to be told there was nothing she could do until Monday. All the dentists were "out of cell range and unreachable". She got an attitude with me when I asked if there would be an issue with me going to urgent care. Long story short went in for an appt today, was informed the dentist would no longer see me because I apparently swore at the office manager when I spoke with her. They didn't even have the decency to call me to tell me the appointment had been cancelled. I went in, checked in, sat for 30 minutes, only to be called back and told that I could not longer be a patient there because I was rude. They are the most inconsiderate, rude people I have ever been around. If you have excellent insurance and money, you'll probably be treated very well, but if your low income don't bother. I had scheduled my son for a root canal. When we got there they numbed his mouth. I asked a question about the procedure and was informed that they had decided to not do the root canal today and were going to fill his other small cavity instead. I had taken time off work for the root canal. When I asked them to do the root canal instead since that is what I had made an appointment for, they refused and asked me to leave. When I pointed out that they had already numbed my son's mouth (who is 7 by the way), I received a flippant "he'll be fine, now leave" response from the dentist. I am sorry - I thought that they should have at least asked me before they changed my son's procedure. And since I decided to call them out on that and request the service that I had actually requested and that he needed more since it was causing him pain, they forced me to leave without doing anything. This is not the first issue I have had with them, but this will definitely be the last. I am sorry but health care should come with some type of human feelings. read more
