Well and everyone was parched from the 30 minute drive. Exactly what you would except from a small town bar, everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at us as we walked to the bar to order drinks. Regardless my mom ordered a 16oz Coors Light... it was a reasonably priced $4.00 so a good value for the regular price. I liked that the bar and restaurant area were separated. I asked our friendly server Deanne if she had any recommendations? She offered the Southwest Chicken Salad, French Dip and I forget which burger. To which I jokingly replied: well you're useless...those all sound delicious! ha. My mom opted for the Smokehouse burger with fries. It said it was 6oz but looked pretty big. With her fries and beer she only ate half of it. I asked for a kids menu. Deanne said "I'm really not supposed to do that." To which I replied "I have a health card" she said she didn't need to see it, but I insisted. I opted for a kids cheeseburger. How fun; it came w either applesauce or pudding?! When I said pudding, I then got to choose: chocolate or vanilla? My burger was delicious and like my mom said "the fries are crispy." Thanks Deanne for the friendly and helpful service and Features for a delicious dinner, cheers!

The patio is great as it it's covered and if it's a cool evening they have heaters in the ceiling. Food I've tried. Banh Mi was tasty, the pickled onion and carrot went great with the meat. Signature burger was excellent. The pepper jelly + Bleu cheese is a good combo, as the jelly keeps the cheese from being overpowered, and I love that they use arugula and not lettuce. Osso Bucco, the pork shank was done perfectly. The risotto was a tad rich for me. Lobster corn dogs were a great appetizer. Came with a grilled half lemon, arugula, and tarragon creme. The creme is a bit like a tartar sauce, but a better flavor. You get 3 small corn dogs. I loved that they actually give you enough lemon. Had enough for all three pieces and the arugula. They have a decent selection of tap beers and they also had a $5 rum punch that was refreshing on a warm day. So if you are reading reviews in mid 2025 or later, you might want to sort by new as they have changed things up.

Stopped in Wednesday to check it out and try a burger on their BOGO special night. I was surprised…read moreupon entering at 4:00 on a Wednesday to only see one table of two and three patrons at the bar. Alright, this is my speed, not too busy....yet... I also opted for their Happy Hour special of Buy 2 draft beers get one free. I didn't ask before starting to drink.... if I have someone joining me, can we split the drinks? On my second beer bartender Austin produced like a poker chip for the free beer, stating I could use it today or another time. When my guest arrived we were discussing the chip... me "where did I put it?" Them "back in your purse" ...no, no I did not! When Austin came around I asked if he had taken the chip? He said he had, to use for my friends beer. Cleared that up and was met with: no they're on their own, I will use that token, ha. But good to know you can essentially split them and I should have! The tap beer options aren't overwhelming and aren't sparse as I was able to opt for three separate craft breweries. For the burgers; I opted for the Wildfire and them for the Bacon Cheeseburger. When I adjusted mine for no pickles, onions or jalapenos, Austin replied: so just a cheeseburger then? I responded: no, because it also has the special sauce. My friend opted for a side of coleslaw.... which was just coleslaw, nothing special. I opted for fries, they were good. The three included w the price side options are: fries, kettle chips & coleslaw. Parking was easy w their private lot. I really liked the digs and they weren't too loud. I was a little put of when I began chatting up the traveler next to me when she said she was told she couldn't be seated at a table as she was a solo guest. I don't agree w that, especially when it wasn't busy yet....Thanks Crossroads for a delicious burger, cheers!
