My brother ordered the Combo BBQ Meal. I selected the Big Ass Burrito. While we waited for our meal we tried the iPad Trivia Game (my brother has been here before). That was a fun way to pass a little time. Our orders arrived quickly so we set aside the game and dug in. I had a nice side salad with my burrito. It was ok. Better than most but cover up food by putting bbq sauce on it before they bring it to the table. Great food doesn't need to be covered up with sauce. The most disgusting thing was all the fans blowing to keep you cool look like they have never been clean which means dust is falling into your food. I always say if they let you see filth where the customers are imagine behind the wall like in the kitchen. I'm not saying the kitchen is dirty but makes you wonder. read more

But their menu is better than your typical bar food menu, thanks in part to their smoker out back. If you like that smokey flavor, there are many options to satisfy your taste, (and many others if you don't). Wings have a delicious smokey flavor beneath some fun sauce choices. Nachos are loaded..(the way nachos should be!) We get the added shredded meat (which also adds that smoke flavor) but even without it, they are loaded with chii, cheese, tomatoes, etc. to make them flavorful. No naked chips here! Ok for years I thought this was a Mexican restaurant. It is not! They have a couple of Mexican items on the menu like Ahi Tuna tacos & a Big Ass Burrito but their focus is smoked meats. The bonus part is it's located right on the water in Madeira Beach. We were lucky to catch the sunset the night we stopped by. And like most beach restaurants/bars it's all open air and has that awesome tiki hut atmosphere. We stated with the Smoked Fish spread which was awesome and what made it unique was they had capers, onion, jalapeños and of course saltines crackers. We added the "angry" relish and that took it up a heat notch. I had the "PEPPER'S FAMOUS BEEF BRISKET" with the black beans & rice & Broccoli salad as the sides. The meat wasn't the "melt in your mouth" level I was hoping for but the flavor was great and it was very tender. I loved the broccoli salad, it was very flavorful and thick, unlike any kind I'd had before. My wife did the Ahi Tuna Tacos and loved them. We were looking for a late night meal & we ended up here. There's a good variety of food to choose from. I went for the nacho appetizer-added pulled pork & shrimp tacos. The nachos had all the toppings perfectly covered, and the added pulled pork was delicious. I really enjoyed the 3 shrimp tacos. They were grilled and seasoned perfectly. Part of this is my fault. I visited the other location in Seminole and had their bbq and it wasn't great. This location boasted a lot of fish. I should've gotten the fish but didn't and that was clearly my mistake. I decided to go with their burger as they boasted on their menu "Everyone claims to have the best burger.. but they get theirs here!" So I ordered it angry style with their relish. I find it real hard to believe it fresh ground beef, hand-pattied. It was more like a frozen burger. I was hungry ate a majority of it but it was beyond disappointing. I did like that spicy relish. We recently visited The Angry Pepper restaurant at Madeira Beach, FL. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing -- right by the water with great music and a tiki bar that really gave you that classic "Old Florida" feeling. The food was delicious, slightly smoked, and exactly as promised. Now, let's talk about the service. We walked in and found a table by the water where a gentleman was just finishing up and waiting for his bill to be cleared. We spent about 15 minutes talking with him while waiting. Afterward, we went up to the bar to order drinks, but were told to sit down and that someone would help us shortly. The restaurant wasn't very busy at the time. After waiting quite a while, we politely asked again if someone could take the previous guest's check so we could order. The response we received came with an unprofessional attitude and we were told, "when I get to you." An hour later, after watching three other tables get seated and served before us, I finally had to go back up and ask again for service. Unfortunately, the rude attitude completely ruined what could have been a great experience. The location and food were excellent, but the poor service means we would not return or recommend this restaurant to others. Music and Food was phenomenal. Their special "Boner" sauce really sticks to its name, erect and powerful. Sadly one of the waitresses was very kind but maybe to kind . You can pick from various sauces on the side, and I would recommend the sweet and tangy shrimp sauce that goes with it. There are other days I visit and all the food I've had has been amazing, from the bbq to the fried green beans, I've had many a dish, and many ice cold ones, and am never disappointed. It's a cool, open air tiki with semi indoor seating and full outdoor. They offer food specials Monday through Friday and drink specials all week long. TVs everywhere and even the BuzzTime Trivia. Really enjoyed the food here! The staff was super friendly, and it was verrrry busy on a Friday evening so we took the last 2 seats at the bar. My friend loves their pulled pork, so we split the pulled pork sliders and he got wings too. The dry rubbed smoked wings were really tasty, and I love when wings aren't greasy. The fries were nice and crispy, and you can't really go wrong with waffle fries! I liked the pulled pork a lot! Their sweet bbq sauce was delicious. Really zero complaints. It took every bit of 45 minuets waiting and not once did our server came it must be and apologize for the wait right before I was about to leave the food came out we got brisket and chicken.
