We sat at the bar for a good look around this place. Nice and cozy. Greeted by our server Lisa for our beverage choice. Since we already scanned the menu she also took our meal order. My brother ordered the Combo BBQ Meal. I selected the Big Ass Burrito. While we waited for our meal we tried the iPad Trivia Game (my brother has been here before). That was a fun way to pass a little time. Our orders arrived quickly so we set aside the game and dug in. I had a nice side salad with my burrito. I did pick off a few waffle fries from my brother while he was attacking the ribs. I had some awesome salsa to go with my burrito and only had room for half. Knowing this would be a great meal the next day we asked for ToGo containers. Had a great time and a delicious meal
True Score: 3.5 Stars BBQ near the water, can't complain. This place has a divey local sports bar kind of vibe which is not usually my first choice of places to go and eat. But their menu is better than your typical bar food menu, thanks in part to their smoker out back. If you like that smokey flavor, there are many options to satisfy your taste, (and many others if you don't). Wings have a delicious smokey flavor beneath some fun sauce choices. Nachos are loaded..(the way nachos should be!) We get the added shredded meat (which also adds that smoke flavor) but even without it, they are loaded with chii, cheese, tomatoes, etc. to make them flavorful. No naked chips here! Add in some ice cold beer and you can't lose. Not the best bbq, but you have to understand the area that you are visiting. Thanks
Ok for years I thought this was a Mexican restaurant. It is not! They have a couple of Mexican items on the menu like Ahi Tuna tacos & a Big Ass Burrito but their focus is smoked meats. The bonus part is it's located right on the water in Madeira Beach. We were lucky to catch the sunset the night we stopped by. And like most beach restaurants/bars it's all open air and has that awesome tiki hut atmosphere. We stated with the Smoked Fish spread which was awesome and what made it unique was they had capers, onion, jalapeños and of course saltines crackers. We added the "angry" relish and that took it up a heat notch. I had the "PEPPER'S FAMOUS BEEF BRISKET" with the black beans & rice & Broccoli salad as the sides. The meat wasn't the "melt in your mouth" level I was hoping for but the flavor was great and it was very tender. I loved the broccoli salad, it was very flavorful and thick, unlike any kind I'd had before. My wife did the Ahi Tuna Tacos and loved them. The cool thing was the tacos came with hot sauce, soy sauce & and a wasabi aoli. The tuna was rare and had been sesame coated. Great flavor. The bartenders and staff were super friendly and brought the food out quick.
We were looking for a late night meal & we ended up here. There's a good variety of food to choose from. I went for the nacho appetizer-added pulled pork & shrimp tacos. The nachos had all the toppings perfectly covered, and the added pulled pork was delicious. I really enjoyed the 3 shrimp tacos. They were grilled and seasoned perfectly. The hot sauce on the table was spicy hot! Our service was friendly and quick. Prices are average about $15 for a meal. There's a full bar & a few TVs on the walls.
Part of this is my fault. I visited the other location in Seminole and had their bbq and it wasn't great. This location boasted a lot of fish. I should've gotten the fish but didn't and that was clearly my mistake. I decided to go with their burger as they boasted on their menu "Everyone claims to have the best burger.. but they get theirs here!" So I ordered it angry style with their relish. I find it real hard to believe it fresh ground beef, hand-pattied. It was more like a frozen burger. I was hungry ate a majority of it but it was beyond disappointing. I did like that spicy relish. I did sweet potato fries. I think next I need to try the fish or just not eat there and have drinks. Parking is limited and the staff were very friendly.
We checked out Angry Pepper earlier this week, and we absolutely loved it. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I ended up ordering 12 black and shrimp. You can pick from various sauces on the side, and I would recommend the sweet and tangy shrimp sauce that goes with it. Shrimp: 8.8 Scale system 10/10 would be what I want for my last meal 9.9-9.3 driving out of my way to get this 9.2-8.0 like the place and would go back 7.9-7.0 I would come here again if it were presented and don't have anything bad to say 6.9 and below - thanks but no thanks after trying once
Craving BBQ on Madeira Beach? Angry Pepper Waterside hit the spot! We split the 3-meat plate - tender brisket, pulled pork with their Boner Gold sauce, and smoked chicken with hot BBQ sauce (so good). The real MVPs? The Angry Pepper appetizer (fresh jalapeños stuffed with cheesy bacon bliss spicy but amazing!) and the sweet potato fries... absolute star of the sides. Great service, fun vibe, and food worth coming back for.
I was extremely disappointed!! I looked at the menu beforehand and wanted to try their wings. "Size matters" right? The 1 lb of wings was a JOKE! THEY WERENT EVEN WINGS! MORE LIKE CHICKEN NUGGETS!!! The sauces weren't the best either, I only ate them cause I was hungry but I would never come back. Seriously though, $17 for this???? I definitely left there "ANGRY" 0 stars in my opinion...wish I could get my money back
Music and Food was phenomenal. Their special "Boner" sauce really sticks to its name, erect and powerful. Sadly one of the waitresses was very kind but maybe to kind . She sung in my friends ear which wierdes him out. All in all this restaurant has great food and amazing music with some odd workers!
I absolutely love this place! Lots of yummy drinks, delicious food and the people are great! For appetizers, the Angry Trio, Jalapeño Bottle Caps, Buffalo Chicken Dip, and Spicy Bonsai Shrimp - blackened. So delicious, every single time. For mains...all the smoked food is delicious, pulled pork, brisket, ribs, chicken sliders...you can't go wrong. We love the big ass burrito in a bowl, the grilled shrimp dinner, blackened. The Mac and cheese is a delicious side...waffle fries are fantastic, honestly, all the sides are great...these are just our favorites! Tons of beer on tap, tropical drinks and delicious Coke!
Pulled in on the boat today and the smell of the smoker got my attention. Decided on the brisket sandwich. It was piled high with just a little sauce on it. Served perfectly. My impression has greatly changed from my last visit 9 years ago. This was most likely the best brisket I have had from a restaurant. I will for sure continue to visit.

Ok to fix a barbecue craving or if you're in the area and want some no frills drinks and eats. There's patio seating but not all of it is necessarily water view. It's good that they have the extra parking at the legion because their actual lot is small. Service was fast and friendly. Had a house marg for the Tuesday special and it gave me a little buzz I want mad for $4.75, usually you're expecting that to come watered down. Got the combo bbq platter and it was a great portion size, arguably could be shared between two people. Sweet potato fries were amaze and the sauce that came with it was really the star of the show. The coleslaw was just bad. Bland as ever. The pulled pork was probably the best followed by the brisket, but nothing to write home about. The chicken was not good at all, had an odd taste (not like it was bad as in going to make you sick, I was fine, just didn't enjoy it at all. 7/10 read more

Angry Wrap, no lettuce, no onions with Sweet Thai Chili and sweet potatoes fries! So good! Again we are locals and this is one of our go to places! Be patient, because they get busy.... But you won't be disappointed. I mean seriously, good good and a great view! read more
I have one word YUMMY. I come here frequently because the BBQ is so good. They also have other things like fish and chicken but you HAVE to get the BBQ I've had both the brisket and pulled pork and it's hard to decide which I like better. It's an amazing water front place! It's really nice because they have boat slips you can ride your boat up and eat. The service is always really good read more

Overall, it was just okay. The atmosphere was casual next to the water, but the food was mid. The brisket was on the dry side, lacking the tenderness and juiciness you'd expect. The BBQ flavors didn't really stand out either; they were bland and had a lot of sauce to hide the dryness, didn't leave a lasting impression. On a positive note, the peppers were good. Would go back but not for bbq. read more

If it's a Monday? All I think about is Burger Slider Mondays at Angry Pepper! They are Angry good! There are other days I visit and all the food I've had has been amazing, from the bbq to the fried green beans, I've had many a dish, and many ice cold ones, and am never disappointed. It's a cool, open air tiki with semi indoor seating and full outdoor. They offer food specials Monday through Friday and drink specials all week long. TVs everywhere and even the BuzzTime Trivia. The bartenders and servers are always friendly and work hard to please their customers. Thank y'all! read more

Really enjoyed the food here! The staff was super friendly, and it was verrrry busy on a Friday evening so we took the last 2 seats at the bar. My friend loves their pulled pork, so we split the pulled pork sliders and he got wings too. The dry rubbed smoked wings were really tasty, and I love when wings aren't greasy. The fries were nice and crispy, and you can't really go wrong with waffle fries! I liked the pulled pork a lot! Their sweet bbq sauce was delicious. Really zero complaints. Prices aren't crazy either. Solid spot for elevated bar food. Bathroom was a little questionable, but once again it was a really busy Friday night. read more

I don't normally write reviews but this was just awful, the place was packed so i will give it some leeway when it came to my experience, we get there and sat at the bar (not a issue) server came up and took our drinks fairly fast, then we ordered out food. It took every bit of 45 minuets waiting and not once did our server came it must be and apologize for the wait right before I was about to leave the food came out we got brisket and chicken. It was both flavorless and soggy. The mac & cheese was something you get out of the $.99 store. It was so underwhelming and disappointing terrible way to celebrate a birthday dinner. read more

Are non-service Dogs allowed?
Not such a great place for dogs. Well I love this bar and frequently go there, I’m not sure that I’ve ever seen a dog there and I’m not sure it would be a good place for one.
