Besides their expertise and efficiency, Dr. Bellmund and her team were kind and compassionate--just what I needed at a time when I was worried and concerned. All that and--the pricing is significantly lower than a recent estimate I received from a local private-practice veterinarian clinic. I was looking for a baby kitten, and thankfully I found exactly the little cat I was hoping for. The adoption process was easy and smooth, and you can really tell how much the staff cares about the animals. The cats are very well treated, and the conditions they are kept in are excellent. Everything was clean, organized, and the animals looked healthy, happy, and loved. Thank you to everyone at Joybound People & Pets for all the care and dedication you give to these animals. She is the one who will be contacted if the cats are found--which is a very distressing thought because I can't ever get in touch with her. I have yet to receive any paperwork on the cats whatsoever. I also had serious trouble with the vet that she works with to spay and neuter the cats. The male of the pair contracted a serious infection and nearly died--a rare situation in male cats because the procedure is so simple for them. It has been difficult every step of the way with this woman and I am at my wits end.

As for not being able to get in touch right away, why not show up at their adoption days to talk in person, or volunteer to help with emails and phone calls? Some of the smaller rescues do not have the big budgets for staff like the SPCAs and Humane Societies. They are run on a shoestring, and with volunteers. Volunteers usually have jobs, and cannot respond as quickly as the big rescues. Give them a break!

Today, i Just dropped off fec. sample to reception and Marina not only expedited, but remembered my name and my cat Onyx's name, too!! Sheesh, I can't remember what I had for breakfast! And she must see dozens of people per day. She also explained exactly when test results come back, costs for services VERY CLEARLY all while managing batch of others in waiting area. Altogether a very well-run clinic with top notch professionals in all departments.

If you're looking for cats, go to Pet Food Express at Slatten Ranch on Saturdays from 12-3. or Pittsburg Petsmart on Sundays from 12-3. They have different kinds of cats and kittens with different shapes and colors just waiting to be loved. After a short screening application, your new friend is yours! Cats and kittens have an adoption fee of $100. If you're looking for dogs, they don't bring them on site. Instead, they're all at a foster house in Brentwood. Man, I've never seen so many dogs in one place! Small and big dogs alike! You can tell they're well taken cared of at Joy's house. Usually you can just sit there, observe all their personalities, and pick from there. I'm sure one will steal your heart like my Wyatt has.
