What makes the place is the Locals... here they will talk to you, spark up a conversation unlike Dublin & Cork City. Spent 3-4 nights in here and the people you meet and conversations/ gibberish really make it authentic! I went for the Salmon and it was quite nice, as were the vegetables. Chips were from frozen. My partner enjoyed his too. Overall it was just OK. Better than Guys, but not whole lot. Dining room could be modernised. Value for money? Perhaps not. Same price in Dublin would get you a whole lot more quality I think.

It was packed, everyone was having fun signing and drinking ... one big party. I met and had so many great conversations with both locals and people from all over the world. Now this joint has been around for a long time and on many "best" lists, etc.... they are known for their local seafood dishes. Large menu consisting of soups, sandwiches, mains such as fish & chips/ chicken curry and also artisan pizza! They also have Daily Seafood Specials that change daily. Asked for some recos and he said you have to try the mussels. Kicked it off with a Guinness and Coonemara seafood chowder with local fresh & smoked seafood... was outstanding. Next, steamed Killary mussels in a coconut milk/ chili sauce served with garlic bread. This may have been the best dish I had on a 14 day trip & I went everywhere! Must order.
