He gave me a quick visual of what he would do with the property without me having to really think about it. He requested a fee to develop a set of plans which I actually felt good about since I knew I was going to get something with thought into it. His plans were great. Rock walls, small waterfalls, plants, grass, irrigation and also taking into account the wetland areas that needed to be landscaped a certain way. I hired Reflections and the entire experience was exactly what I expected with perfect follow through and communication. (something not real existent in the construction industry) A few years later I hired Reflections to landscape my business in Redmond. Initially this company was hired through a managing contractor to rebuild my retaining wall. Harry…read moreand his workers, especially Benjamin, were very easy to work with. I chose his bid although it was higher than another one because his ideas made more sense for a better long lasting product that's very important to a house. Building a new fence seemed a better option than rebuilding the old one. Everything was done beyond my expectations, a slight problem with the fence was quickly repaired. Because he did such a great job, I decided on my own to hire him directly without bothering with other bids due to working with him as well as the quality of his work. He really wants to be proud of the final product for his customers and his sense of workmanship and integrity. This time he put pavers instead of cement along the side of my house, an area outside my basement, several steps alongside two gardens for veggies or flowers as I eventually will decide. Then on the top of this is another area for pavers and a walkway to my side door. Added some mulch around some trees to prepare for plants when I find time to finish this lovely backyard. There's still a decent amount of grass remaining and I plan to have his company finish to the side and front of my house later this year. Highly recommend!

They sent unskilled labor to our house who began tearing up our yard in a rather random manner. One of their labourers insisted on parking his dilapidated truck in our driveway that was leaking oil everywhere. I confronted him and he apologized, but parked in the exact same spot the next day and leaked more oil. He was too lazy to walk up the driveway. They run an amateur operation. Ariel runs the construction operation and Laura translates as he speaks little to no English making communication difficult. He rarely visited the site as they (admittedly) are overbooked and can't handle the work that they have taken on. The final straw was when I came home to a guy digging a crooked trench through our existing landscaping where we wanted a retaining wall (it wasn't even straight, he was killing plants we wanted to keep, and it was in a random location). There were no measurements, plumb lines, or any delineation markers. The guy was just swinging a pick axe. I called a planning meeting and Laura came over with a drawing she had oddly plastized with no dimensions on it that looked like a child drew it. Yes, it was in crayon! We asked for a refund and they refused. Our yard is destroyed and for that we had the privilege of being taken for our $9200.00 deposit. BEWARE!

We are not disappointed in choosing them. They did our driveway, path down to the house, 8 stairs and a patio in front of our house. All are done extremely well. From initial contact until final day's brush-up. the NGL team was marvelous. I had a retaining wall built at the end of my property with a small terrace added because the slope was a bit too high for a single wall. Because a retaining wall is an incredibly expensive investment (and one which can go horribly wrong if not done well!) I was extremely cautious before deciding to embark on this project. They answered all my questions thoroughly, made me feel comfortable that they would do it correctly, and did an excellent job. They even gave me references of customers who had similar walls built years ago! Talking to those people (who were equally thrilled with their work) was what really pushed me over the edge into accepting the bid. The end result is so beautiful that I've had most of my neighbors over to admire it; have been flooding my friend's and family's texts with pictures of it, and basically made me excited again about a yard I've neglected for years. I wouldn't hesitate to have them out again. Overall very wonderful work, done well and safely and with a beautiful end project. I've actually never written a Yelp review before, but their work was so solid I had to do it this time.

At first I was pleased with the initial consultation with Christopher and Diana. Their response was…read moreimmediate and they to found a time to give us a formal bid for a 15x25 paver patio. We were told that we were working with a family business that was given to the son and his girlfriend and they had been working together for 7 years (later Diana told me she was new to the business). They gave us great ideas how we could design our patio and fire pit, did measurements and said they would email a quote the next day. The day came and went as well as four other days. I called and texted per their voice mail request with no response. After I left a negative review, they got back to me stating their laptop and iPad were stolen. I gave them the benefit of doubt and they gave us a small discount off the price of the job. We decided to proceed. I give them 2 stars and here is why: 1. Chris was never seen or heard from again - they stated his Dad was sick and he left for Mexico for the summer. 2. Diana was only on site very briefly and occasionally - a handful of times, which I actually have documented. 3. The crew of 5 that was promised along with Diana or Chris always being on site only happened after I quit being polite and the last 2 days of installation, minus Chris or Diana. Diana only appeared after I said I was not releasing final payment. 4. The patio was to be level with the grass, per Chris they were to dig down 6-8 inches, the crew dug down 1 inch, I complained and a crew of 2-3 came out the next half day to dig deeper. Patio is still a good 3 inches above grass line. 5. Crew had no idea the size, dimension or details of patio, they kept asking ME how it was supposed to look. 6. Crew had the circle kit / pit in more than half the patio, I said that was not the design, had I not caught this, my pit would literally be off my second step - all unusable space. 7. We went back and forth from 1 step to 2 about 15x as the crew said they could then couldn't do it. 8. The pavers were laid incorrectly, when I told the two man crew they stated "don't you like it"? We had decided on particular pattern that wasn't being followed. Texted with Diana (as that was our only communication since we was never out to monitor the guys) and told them to relay the pattern. They tried to take the easy way out instead of relaying all the pavers, I said "Not acceptable" and directed them to pull them all up and start again. 9. I was told by a crew member who was laying the pavers that the border would have to be laid different directions on each side, horizontal on one and parallel on the other - I said NO they all can and will be laid in the same direction. 10. After pavers for patio were laid, the crew began to load all the leftover bricks - which were a ton. They had cut my grass 2 feet wider than they should have (since they had no plan to follow) and said I could plant grass. NO - we had plenty of pavers left, after a call to Diana they did lay the additional 2x15 feet of pavers. 11. Fire pit was NOTHING like we agreed. We told them we wanted a propane pit, the igniter switch and start switch on the side. Chris stated "NO Problem" and that he could even build a cover for the tank. NONE OF THIS HAPPENED AND IT WAS A DISASTER. 12. Fire pit was supposed to have a cap around the top - crew never finished it, built it too tall making for the cap to not be installed. the pit should have been 33" circle fire, we ended up with a 24 13. Diana brought me a regulator for a bbq/propane, had I used it for the pit it would have blown up. 14. To get my fire pit useable and somewhat appealing cost me another $300 - After my text to Diana about holding payment she removed that cost from my final bill. 15. The plastic trim that goes around the pavers to hold them tight was not complete around the back of the pit circle, I was told it was not needed, have you ever seen half a border, it looked unfinished and forgot. I stated they needed to finish the border whether it was cosmetic or not. 16. The same day I made final payment to Diana, Chris sent me a message to ask if the patio pavers was done to my satisfaction, he never replied to my response. 17. After having a rainy day, the patio is NOT level and we have water that pools and sits on top of the pavers. Had Castro their Project Manager been on site like he was the final two days, I believe this all would have went a lot smoother, had less problems and errors and I would have had a pleasant experience. If you want to be the project manager, do all communication by text, and have nothing done that was promised, this is your company. May 2020 - Due to the poor build quality, danger to the lack of ventilation and the igniter being below the burner our firepit was a hazard. Our pit did not pass inspection and cost us an additional 3k to have a professional company rebuild the whole pit.

There were other things that were odd like large fees to roll back 20' of 4' chain link. When I tried to get it adjusted, the estimator Bobby kept saying he would get back to me, that the owner Neil had to sign off, and that he'd get back to me. Then he did not. Then he said after he got back from vacation. He did not. Then He said he would in 24 hours. He did not. Then I called the owner Neil and asked for another estimator since Bobby is struggling with following through. After explaining the lack of response by Bobby, the owner said he would take over. Bobby told Neil that he did not follow up because I was not available which was not true.....and the texts are there to back that up, Bobby left town for over two weeks and dropped the ball. Neil was supposed to come by that night or the next day and the dogs would be put away and that I did not need to be there. Then Neil the owner said he would come out on a Sat, texted me about being late...then texted again that he is running late. Then never showed up, no call, crickets. I waited all AM as agreed, then asked if he can walk the property without me, he said "yes". (That contradicts what Booby said weeks earlier, that they did not act because I wasn't home...which again was not the agreement....so Bobby was covering for dropping the ball) I'm calling them again, (mind you, every time no one called back or shows up, it was me 100% of the time chasing them down.) Then I get a text 6 days after the no show from Bobby, the guy I don't want to work with anymore telling me to call Neil. Neil comes out and I learn that he is not the Owner, but another Neil. This Neil said that the no show Sat was because he was dealing with a death in the family. But the younger Neil texted that Sat, when I had an appointment, saying that they were running late. Hummm. The older Neil sent a new quote that he said when I called was 2" of 5/8 minus but Bobby said his bid was 3-4" 5/8 minus. UGH more disjointed communication. Mind you this went on From Aug 6 to Sept 19. Not once did Bobby, or Neil#1 keep their word to call, or show up but what is so unbelievable is that neither has the respect for my time. The older Neil is apparently the dad and the previous owner and retired from the landscape side. After he came out, he said I should contact Bobby, that he is really good at getting back to people. What? No one ever explained that there were 2 Neils or that no one had any autonomy to bid the job in the first place except the retired dad. The multiple times I called Bobby when there was no follow up, he was always chewing food. This is not the same experience that I have seen in reviews which is why I gave them so many chances. I finally gave up because they can't keep their word or communicate between each other. Along the way I was told that people were disrespecting my time for this excuse or that excuse but no one showed any care for 6 weeks of this treatment. So today I call and say I'm not going to do the retaining wall, just the plain and simple parking pad if they can fix the original quote. I am then told they won't do it because they have a $5k minimum. These seem to be nice people that aren't very good at customer care, or just their personal lives that make them break their word and they seem like that is normal. It is mind boggling that they would not do the parking pad, a 4k job, after their treatment for 6 weeks. Try MARENKOS if you need rockery.
