Pick a weekend when you can fully commit your time and energy, and take this class! Whether you've…read morenever touched a motorcycle or have been around them your entire life, everyone is welcome, and you'll leave the weekend feeling more confident in your riding skills. I've been around bikes or riding dirt bikes and motorcycles for most of my life (about 30 years, from age 3 to 33), but I never truly felt confident in my riding until I took this course. Even if you've been riding for a long time, you can still learn a lot about the fundamentals and the physics behind motorcycle riding. One of the instructors, Rick, was very efficient and clearly explained how the course would work and what to expect during the in-person riding days. The presentations, demonstrations, structure, and overall instruction exceeded my expectations. The instructors have a great way of breaking things down so they're easy to understand and apply in real time. At times, it can feel a bit stressful trying to understand everything in such a short time, but if you take notes and pay attention you'll be fine. Plus, it's more of an excited, motivated kind of stress, you want to succeed. They provide all the tools you need to pass both the written and practical exams and do a great job preparing you for the DMV written test as well. One major benefit is that if you pass this course, you won't need to take the DMV riding test, which relieves a lot of additional stress. Big thanks to Rick, Bob, and Elliot for taking the time to teach us the fundamentals and help us feel safe and confident on a motorcycle.

This was a fantastic experience. It's super structured and very saturated with tools, safety…read moreprotocols, strategies and techniques for navigating a motorcycle in various situations. Been a dirt bike rider for decades but had no idea how much there was to learn on the street. My husband is an advanced dirt biker and he even said that he learned so much. The instructors are very knowledgeable and really hit home the importance of the safest way to navigate turns, stops, body positioning and more. It's designed by a CHP officer so it's real skills and information to help you obey the law and stay alive! All the information they share is on the test, both the riding test and the written and will also help you pass the DMV written test. It's a lot of work and can be hot outside, but we had breaks, bring water and bring snacks and wear a light long sleeved shirt for afternoons. You leave with a new understanding of your riding skill, your bike and the rules of the road. Elliot was amazing, he was kind and patient and encouraging. It can get a little stressful learning so much in a weekend, but he made it great. The other instructors were fun as well and very serious about the importance of understanding the skills and exercises and gave great feedback. You make new friends as well, we were so lucky to have such a great crew. I highly recommend this class and fell fortunate that I took it.

I would certainly rate the salon 1 star if I could. I'm autistic. I went in to their salon services get a short, basic haircut. The entire time I was bullied by my barber during the haircut. There were many things he did to me and said to intentionally try to make a joke out of me. Other students eventually started gathering around and ridiculing me and snickering. There was absolutely no supervision. I know I'm an easy target because I'm autistic, but that does not excuse this whatsoever. It is not okay to make fun of disabled people and it's not okay that this behavior wasn't prevented by the teachers. The haircut itself was awful and took a while to grow out long enough to touch up. Very choppily cut and poorly done. But I don't mind because it's a school and they need experience. My mom was coming over from the front to give him a tip, not knowing what had happened, but even she saw that people were just surrounding me and laughing at me, so she turned right back around. My mom had called the place after. The instructor was kind and offered a free, supervised touch up. This is good to note. I didn't accept it because I already go through enough of these experiences in my life because some people like to use an autistic person (or just weaker targets in general such as the elderly, the homeless, etc.) as an excuse to be cruel, I don't need to risk going back to a place that treated me like that. But she listened and seemed to care, so that's what matters. I had a meltdown as soon as we got back in the car to go home and it lasted for hours. I shouldn't have to be judged and bullied for being quiet and having difficulty socializing. Those were things outside of my control because I'm disabled. They appeared to be around my same age of 18, so immaturity is certainly inevitable in a classroom, but this was just cruel in my opinion. You have to sit down for several minutes just defenselessly being subjected to ridicule for things outside of your control. There absolutely should've been supervision. I'm not going to place blame on the instructors and supervisors because they weren't the ones who bullied me, but this sort of thing shouldn't even be able to happen. Things may have changed in the year since I've been and I sure hope they have. Supervision may have tightened. Obviously, a single instance does not define the entirety of the salon. If you're autistic or disabled in any other way, you're already taking risks wherever you go. It's your choice to make and things could be good now. I just wanted to document my experience so it doesn't get brushed under the rug. If you read my review and experience, thank you. I wasn't able to advocate for myself in the moment because I was overwhelmed. It was hard to speak. But at least I have the ability to retroactively articulate. Not all autistic people do. And those are the stories that you don't hear about because not all of us can speak for ourselves, so that is why I'm sharing this experience because I am able to in place where others may have not been able to.
