The Restaurant had a very cookie-cutter diner feel. Picture the checker board look, the pictures of golden age celebrities hung on a 45 degree angle on the wall. I have no problem with the nostalgia, though. Our server was quick to get to us, but kind of rushed our order. Usually, a server will take a drink order and come back, but she presumed that after about a minute with the menu that we would be ready to order. When the server returned with our drinks, she realized that she had brought me the wrong drink. She also did not bring my wife the water she requested. She seemed to have just not heard her, so that is forgivable, but the attitude of being put out for requesting the water when she was going back to the drink station anyways. We got our food considerably quickly considering it was busy. I ordered the Temptation (Bacon, Sausage, Eggs, Toast, Home Fries and French Toast) and my wife got the Eggs Benedict with home fries. Her meal had its issues. Her ham tasted more like a ham loaf (you could see the changes in texture on the meat) and also tasted of the grill top. As someone who has worked in kitchens before, this usually suggests a dirty grill. That flavour on the meat transferred to the English Muffin. The Hollandaise sauce was devoid of much flavour except for the taste of salt. This usually suggests that the sauce is prepackaged. I can't confirm that either of those things are true, but once it gets in your head, it's hard to enjoy your meal. Her fruit bowl was one of the nicer ones I have seen. A great variety of fruit (a little heavy on the melon). The only weird thing was that the kiwi wasn't peeled. My meal was ok. The eggs were cooked exactly as I asked. There were only two slices of bacon and one breakfast sausage, which is very disappointing for a breakfast called the Temptation. The home fries were originally frozen, so they didn't get particularly crispy. If home fries are going to have that softer texture, I would expect them to be well seasoned, which these were not. The French Toast tasted like it was pre-made and left in a warmer. It also came with a small container of maple flavoured syrup. I feel like we are past the time of anything other than real syrup being put on the table. When it came time to pay the bill, you have to go to the front counter and avoid the incoming and outgoing customers. As busy as it was, it made that counter a pretty crowded place. All in all, I would not go back there for breakfast. There are better options in the area with comparable or better prices, better service, better food and an altogether better dining experience. read more

Old overcooked bacon came with my breakfast, the service wasn't very good and the coffee was bad.

Food was great, had the Elvis burger and it was awesome. I really loved the classic bar style and neon lighting!!

Wow, where to begin! The service was terrible and slow. The Greek burger I ordered came on a mouldy bun. We had to go hunt our waitress to show her. I ordered something different and had to wait 20mins while my husband ate his while it was hot. The lasagna I ordered after that was horrible. We ate a few bites and left as we were late for another commitment. All in all it was a disaster. Not going back again!! read more

We went in Sunday August 21 for lunch. The place was busy when we arrived. Our waitress took our orders after about 15 mins of being seated. We waited and wait and wait trying to keep our children occupied for our food. About 45 mins later our lunch came 3 out of the 4 orders were WRONG!!!! We sent all 3 back. The one order came back 5 mins later it was WRONG again. The grilled cheese with bacons took another 15 mins to come out. Our waitress had a attitude when we told her the orders were wrong in the first place. After we finally got to eat we were told we were going to receive 20% off our meal to make up for the horrible time we had. We received the bill and nothing was taken off. We called her over to ask her what happened she proceeded to go get what she said was our bill and told me that she did take it off. When I asked to see the bill she reluctantly handed it to me only for me to see it wasn't even our bill they were over charging us for the horrible meal!!! She finally revised the bill and handed me it. I did the math and there was no 20% off either more like 6% but I couldn't be bothered by it. Manger didn't seem to be too concerned about how customers enjoyed the restaurant. The waitress was constantly acting like a child. Flipping out on the manager/owner about the kitchen staff. I would highly not recommend this restaurant. The orders are wrong the staff we had sucked and the food wasn't that great. We have been to this diner in other towns before and they were amazing. This one is not managed well and staff need some lessons in how to take orders and treat customers. read more

Went to Angels today . Waitress we were given was absolutely horrible . When bringing our cutlery to table she knocked mine on the floor , but picked it up and said she would bring new ones. After about 15 minutes our order came from another waitress who quickly gave us our order and left , but our original waitress had still not brought me any new cutlery. I had to get up and ask a busboy if he could go grab me some , which he did, thank god. Food was decent except the bacon, which was so crispy and over-fried they might as well have poured bacon bits on my plate. 10 minutes later our waitress came back asked if everything was alright, but there was no indication she had even remembered she left a customer without cutlery. By the time I neared the end of my meal I had wanted to have some jam packets for my toast, our waitress hadn't been back for 20 minutes so , once again, I got up and found a busser and asked if I could get some jam, which I got promptly, thank goodness. 10 minutes later our waitress finally came back so I asked for the bill. She brought it quickly , threw it on the table and never asked how I would like to pay , and basically refused to take my payment . The diner has very clear signs and notices on the receipt to pay your server. How was I to do this if she walks away and basically refuses to show she intends to take payment from me. Once again I got up and asked the busboy why she walked off and hadn't asked or tried to take our payment. He didn't even look surprised she had done this, but went and got the debit machine anyway and took our payment. The bussing staff did all the work. What a huge mistake!!!!! My wifes' Greek Burger was served on a mouldy bun. Yes, a bun that should NEVER have left the kitchen on a plate. My wife was put off and requested it be replaced with the lasagne. This meant we both watched one another eat. Not at all enjoyable. On first bite my wife suggested that the lasagne tasted like pizza. There was pepperoni in it. My wife was initially offered a dessert as compensation. We explained we were going home to birthday cake and the server suggested it to go. It never appeared. When we went to leave the bill was stilkl for the original Greek Burger and 10% was taken off of it. My fish and chips was nothing special. The place was understaffed and the service was mediocre. We have been to other Angel's locations in the past and the meal pretty much what one would expect. There was manager on-site and I wonder if we might have been treated differently had there been. Never is a long time but never will visit this restaurant again. If you are ever thinking of going into this Angel's location, DON'T. read more
