I emailed her, and she got back to me super quickly. On the day of the lesson, she showed up right on time. I liked her personality too, she was very personable and friendly. You can tell how experienced she is from the way she demonstrates her techniques. We went through everything from full makeup to hair, and we recorded the whole session. I've been rewatching the videos over the last few days to practice. I picked up so many helpful tips I hadn't thought about before, like better ways to shape and enhance my eyebrows, better bronzer application, and little tricks for both hair and makeup. I realized only after finding them that several of my friends had gone to this studio for their weddings or other events, and that they all had great experiences, so I felt really confident booking them. Also, the pricing was transparent and extremely fair, even though I did pay extra for travel fees from Pasadena to San Juan Capistrano/Orange County. From my trial two months before to the day-of, Kelly T. was a dream to work with. I don't wear a lot of heavy makeup on a daily basis, but while I definitely wanted to look like myself on my wedding day, I also wasn't afraid to look like I was wearing makeup - and she figured out that balance perfectly. We only made minor changes from my trial because I felt she nailed it right out of the gate, and I felt so beautiful on my wedding day! I don't usually wear makeup on day to day basis, so I was looking for someone that could achieve a natural, glowy, k-beauty type look for my wedding. When I saw Kahn's portfolio, I knew she was the one! I booked her first a HMU trial a few months before the big day- I absolutely loved my makeup at the trial but decided I want to go for a different hairstyle after taking some time to think about it. On the day of the wedding, I was honestly a little nervous because I didn't get the chance to try out the new hairstyle, but Kahn understood my vision and delivered exactly what I had asked for (which looked even better than I could've imagined). I truly have never felt so beautiful than on my wedding day, and it's all thanks to her! My only slight qualm with the service as a whole (and not Kahn's fault at all) was that there was a last-minute scheduling conflict and Kahn was unable to stay to do hair and makeup for the rest of the bridal party. However, the agency provided us with an additional HMU artist and offered to have Kahn come back during cocktail hour to do a free touch-up. I appreciate that they offered this concession, because it was great to have her touch up my makeup after shedding some tears at the ceremony. Kahn even offered to touch up the groom, and helped me with my outfit change during that time. The two additional makeup artists (Nikki and Madison) were also great- my mom was extremely happy with her makeup and said it was the best makeup service she's ever received.
