Love Tina's work! I was looking for a make up artist for my wedding and came across Tina through Instagram and immediately liked her style - natural with a subtle glam. It was such a breeze setting up bridal trial with Tina. I got in contact with her and she sent me a clear list of her pricing. I met up with her in her Pasadena studio the day of my engagement shoot for my bridal trial. She and Melanie (who did my hair) were very friendly and easy to talk to and really took in my requests and made it better! Our engagement shoot came out amazing and I received a ton of compliments on my make up and hair! I got in touch with Tina when my wedding date was coming up. I had to do some modifications with my booking, including some last minute back and forth add on (one of my bridesmaids wasn't planning on making it to the wedding because of recent birth and decided to come one week before the wedding). Tina was so understanding and flexible during the whole thing and that really took some stress off my shoulders so I could focus on other last minute issues (like my dad's suit, or lack of). She provided me a detail timeline of who's doing make up and hair so I had a good idea how the morning would be like. On my end, I let her know about a month or two in advance because I understand...makeup artists can get pretty booked up so I wanted to be courteous to her and her schedule. I wanted to be glamorous and get pampered so I found Tina on here and decided to have her do my hair and makeup for a wedding I was going to attend. Before we even met, I casually mentioned how I was going bald and she even covered up my scalp to look like I have more hair. Wow! Wow! Just got my face beautified by the very lovely and talented Tina Tom. When it comes to makeup I am at a total lost - the most I can do is put on lip gloss and mascara and sometimes in hope that doesn't smeared all over. Tina was very good at not only applying and bringing out my features but also she gave me some very good tips. She made sure I was comfortable and during the whole process asked me if I had any questions. Since I don't know how to apply makeup, I usually pay others to do it and I have had some very good experience and some bad ones and this one definitely was a great experience. She's friendly, energetic and has a great personality so it makes the time that she's putting on makeup doesn't seem so dull and boring but quite fun. I have had makeup artist not say very much during the 30-45 minutes they are applying makeup which made it pretty awkward - that or they just didn't do a good job for like $100+. Tina's prices are fair - actually pretty good deal since the ones I have had before charged well over 100+ for just party makeup and not even super great at times. She came on time to do my makeup and even brought her own chair. I let her do the magic while we chatted the whole time. It's never a dull moment during the session. My makeup session with Tina was a very pleasant experience! I read all the awesome reviews on Yelp and decided to give Tina a try for a wedding event I was attending. She was also kind enough to fix my hair to make sure the veil went on just right but was still easy to figure out how to take off for the reception.
