Though this review is a little late, it certainly hasn't been forgotten. We wanted to wait until the wedding photos were ready so we could show off the amazing work Stephanie and her hair & makeup team did! From the start, they were incredibly kind, patient, and a joy to work with. They were always checking in on me and my bridal party to make sure we were feeling and doing well. They went above and beyond to ensure that everyone's hair and makeup were absolutely flawless. Their skills are truly incredible. The end results exceeded our expectations and we couldn't be happier! Highly recommend Stephanie and her team. You definitely won't be disappointed! :)
There were many vendors at my wedding but there were only two that really stood out and Brides Nest (Stephanie) was one of them. Amidst all the chaos of wedding preparations, my wife and I got really lucky we didn't have to spend too much time finding a Hair Makeup Artist because we were referred by a family member and we couldn't have been happier with the recommendation. Even though Stephanie does not live close to Orange County and she had to drive a great distance to the location of the photo shoot, she was the first one to show up and be on time. As a guy, I was hesitant at first to get makeup done as it was my first time ever doing so but Stephanie made me feel comfortable from the beginning and was very friendly conversing with me throughout the whole session. Stephanie was also kind enough to carefully do my hair for me so that I would look good for my big day. Once I was finished, it was my wife's turn to get her makeup and hair done and Stephanie immediately went to work without any breaks. She is a true professional and made sure we were all ready on time to take photos. She didn't rush anything and was very efficient with time. When I showed my hair to my groomsmen, they gave me mixed responses so I asked Stephanie if she could redo my hair and without any pushback she kindly replied "this is your day, how would you like your hair to be styled". This is the kind of service that is missing from most businesses these days and it's this level of service that makes a huge difference. To my surprise, when our photographer Tony arrived Stephanie and Tony knew each other making everything else go very smoothly. Stephanie even went through the trouble of being a backup/assistant photographer to Tony while we did our first look. When we asked Stephanie if she can also join us at the wedding venue, she immediately replied "yes" and reassured both my wife and I that she will be there for both of us just in case one of us needed a touch up. Everything after the ceremony was a huge blur, but I can remember that Stephanie was in the bridal room waiting for us and asking us one last time if we needed any touch up even though she had to leave earlier she waited for us and made sure we were good for the rest of evening and really took good care of us before leaving. I felt bad she was not able to eat before having to take off and cannot thank her enough for the great services she provided to both me and my wife. Going forward, I will be recommending Brides Nest to all my family/friends who are not yet married. Look no further and hurry up before you miss the chance to book Stephanie!
I had the pleasure of having Stephanie and Mei do hair and makeup for my wedding day. They were able to get me, 3 bridesmaids, and 2 mothers ready and looking beautiful before the ceremony started at 10am. They worked quickly and efficiently and we were all very impressed with their work! Stephanie was wonderful to work with leading up to the day as well. She answered my questions and was very detailed in her responses. I appreciated that she was always fast with sending invoices and timelines when I had to add a service. Thank you for being part of our day and for being so wonderful to my family!
Bridenest provided hair and makeup services for everyone in the wedding party, even the groomsmen! Not only was their work amazing, but it lasted all day long, through hours of laughter, dancing, and even tears. I was definitely ugly crying at some points, but you couldn't tell from my make up! For the men, this was their first time getting hair and make up. Many of them were unsure at first, but my partner and I thought it would be a nice treat for the entire wedding party, as a thank you for their support. Afterwards, they couldn't stop staring at themselves in the mirror! Their confidence really showed in the photos! Stephanie and her team were really flexible and easy to work with. They also had great advice when I was looking for direction in my vision. We walked through looks to match my dress and she suggested hair jewelry as well! Besides their great hair and makeup services, they were also really professional. They came early to set up their space. They also played music to set a fun atmosphere while we were all getting ready! Stephanie's playlist has some bangers!
Booking Brides Nest was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. I first noticed that the owner, Stephanie, works a lot with our photographer, @antonioprophoto. Because our photographer was such a joy to work with, we had a feeling Stephanie would be amazing as well. Her Instagram account showed pictures of beautiful brides with soft glam makeup. As soon as I visited her website, I knew that she was not only a talented makeup artist but also an organized, transparent business owner. She made her pricing readily available (I didn't have to contact her separately about it), and I was able to instantly figure out if she was available on our wedding day. The booking process alone made it easy for me to decide to work with Brides Nest. I was able to schedule my trial on the day of my engagement photo shoot. Stephanie listened to my thoughts on the soft glam look I would like for myself, asked me how my makeup looks on a daily basis, and took into consideration the type of makeup I do not prefer. She was down-to-earth and fun to chat with! It was clear that she enjoys what she does, which goes a long way when you book any vendor. Thanks to Stephanie, my makeup looked amazing in all the photos, and it lasted several hours without requiring a touch-up. This definitely helped because we did our shoot at Griffith Observatory around sunset and dusk, so I had no time to look at myself. My hair stayed put throughout the entire session as well. I appreciated that she recommended using extensions. We still have a few months to go for our wedding, and working with Stephanie is making the process much less chaotic for us. She is quick to respond to all of our questions. She was more than happy to schedule another trial session for me because I'm still not sure if I want to put my hair up or down on the big day. She'll also be doing a trial for my husband. We're looking forward to seeing how gorgeous everyone will look on our wedding day!
Stephanie is amazing! I found her through Instagram through a promo she was running and I loved her pics so decided to go with her for hair and makeup! She did my bridal trial a few months before and I was SO happy with the finished look! I added all my bridesmaids and the moms and she was able to accommodate us (with the help of another MUA on her same level!). I have a particularly picky mother and Stephanie is such a saint and was able to deal with her! Everyone was so happy with their hair and makeup and I am so happy with everyone's hair and makeup the day of the wedding. Stephanie was even able to keep my stepdaughter's hair curl the whole day when it never holds a curl! 10 out of 10, would use Stephanie again!
Let me tell you this, Stephanie is an amazing hair and make-up artist! I found her in Instagram, and I saw her hair and make-up style. She responds quickly, I never had a problem communicating or contacting her. My wedding was in the late afternoon and we able to book her earlier to also add my mother's and fiancé's hair and make-up. Yes, she does men's/ groom's hair and make-up(touch-up). Stephanie is incredible! She saved me by taking out the stress of how to prep my mom and my fiancé. I don't usually use make-up, so I'm not used to people putting lashes on me or just anything on my face and Stephanie made it easier and smooth. She was very easy to talk to and very friendly. I asked for soft glam and she delivered it! Way better than I thought. Hands down to her talent and skills. My mom and I felt soo beautiful. My fiancé hair was kinda messy before but she fixed it well. He looks very charming. Our look stayed all day, even though it was a hot weather and we cried alot, nothing was ruined. We highly recommend her especially on your wedding day. Include you parents or your wedding party, it's definitely worth it.
Stephanie did a great job for my wedding day! I booked her for 2 days back to back and she helped me create a new look each day. The makeup application felt light but it stayed ALL DAY in 90+ degree weather. And even at the after party! Stephanie was a wizard with hair. She created 8 different looks for my entire bridal party. Overall, Stephanie is super nice and accommodating. I am so happy to support her as her business grows. Just a tip for anyone booking ANY hair or makeup artist, make sure you come with inspiration photos. I cannot stress the importance of this. It's an emotional process and if you're not able to communicate what you want, then it's like a waste of money.
Celebrated my wedding yesterday and I have tell everyone how impressed I am by Bride's Nest! I came across Brides Nest on Instagram. I reached out and Stephanie responded right away. She was very helpful and accommodating. I had never hired someone to do my make up so I didn't know what to expect. I sent her photos of the hair and makeup I had in mind and wished for the best outcome. I must say I was so impressed! They were set up and ready to go before I even arrived. My make up was BETTER than what I asked for and it stayed on ALL NIGHT! My hair was also on point! The hairstyle lasted all night despite the wild time I had dancing all night! Thank you so much for making me and my wife look better than ever! I must add, I cried when I saw my wife for the first time. I cried during our first dance. I sweated a lot while dancing. My make up did not need retouching at all! You gals are the best and super sweet! While I don't plan to get married again, I do hope to need your services again
I found BridesNest via an Instagram ad shortly after I got engaged and was so happy she was available for both my engagement and my wedding day! Even though my engagement was supposed to be a trial I ended up choosing different makeup and hair on my actual wedding day and it turned out even better. Stephanie was very responsive to messages and in person took care to ask frequently if everything looked ok so far. If you wanted to adjust anything she'd be happy to do so. The makeup was comfortable (including the lashes) and had staying power. I didn't want to wear contacts as glasses are a part of me, and loved that the makeup showed up pretty natural in photos. Dee did my wedding hair (loose updo with braids) and it was so romantic and perfect for my dress. She incorporated my leafy vine hairpiece and it looks so beautiful in photos! They also made my new sister-in-law really pretty and my new mother-in-law (who never wears makeup) was so pleased with her makeup as well! Thank you BridesNest! (Once I get more wedding photos will update some more that shows the makeup more!)
Big shout out to Stephanie for providing fast, friendly and FABULOUS service. I received many compliments on my hair and makeup, and i couldn't be more pleased. I was a low key bride and go-with-the-flow so I really didn't have any expectations of what I wanted my hair and makeup to look like exactly. I just told Stephanie make it glam, hair down and use these hair pieces...and BAM! Nailed it! B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L Big thank you and hope we cross paths again for any future events.
I've never gotten my makeup and hair professionally done before and could not have been happier with the results from Stephanie and her team on my wedding day! I found Stephanie through instagram and was amazed by her posts and how beautiful and effortless/natural her style of make up and hair is. She was so professional and responsive the entire time, and communicated all the details with me. I sent her the vision of how I want my hair and makeup to look like and Stephanie and her hair stylist executed beyond what I imagined. They really went above and beyond and the best part was they set up super fast and finished ahead of schedule so it started off my wedding timeline very smoothly. The makeup stayed on PERFECTLY all night even through a hot 95 degree weather day outdoors, I was sweating a lot, eating and drinking and the makeup still looked perfect by the end of the night. I am just amazed at how great Stephanie and her team did and would not hesitate to recommend her to anybody looking to hire professional makeup/hair artists!!

I found Stephanie on Instagram during the start of my two year wedding planning journey and am beyond satisfied with the results I've received She was great at listening to concerns throughout my trial and also gave suggestions since I had booked my trial quite some time out from my wedding. She is definitely a perfectionist and goes the extra mile, I also really appreciated her being flexible with one of my bridesmaids providing her own makeup due to a sudden skin allergy. My bridal party, family and I felt comfortable with her during the whole HMUA process during my wedding. Highly recommend her! read more

I couldn't have asked for a better team for my wedding day! They were incredibly friendly, professional, and made what could have been a stressful day so much easier. My hair and makeup were absolutely flawless and lasted through 15 hours of celebrations. They were also very receptive to feedback, making adjustments throughout the process to ensure everything was perfect. Their excellent communication leading up to the wedding helped ease my stress and made planning so much smoother. Highly recommend them for any special occasion! Don't have any close up pic from my wedding day but here are some pictures from my trial read more

Brides Nest is an incredible, professional service and I am so happy they were who I chose for the happiest day of my life, my wedding day! I had a trial with Stephanie, and I had Stephanie do makeup, and Maymah do hair for myself and my maid of honor, and makeup only for my mother. I loved both of them! Stephanie has been professional and detailed oriented since day one. I felt so beautiful both on the trial and day of the wedding. I am not someone who wears makeup that often and my face felt comfortable all day. Stephanie also did a great job at highlighting my eyes even when I have hooded eyes, which was a concern of mine. I was surprised that the lashes stayed on so well, yet they never felt heavy at any point. Stephanie spent time asking about what I wanted, such as lip color, glam vs natural, etc., but she definitely let her artistry do all the talking after we had some basic elements down. My hair was a short bob, so I was nervous if I was able to do an updo/low bun, and Maymah made it happen! The volume stayed all day which was great, as when I do my own hair, it often falls flat. The hairpiece I got from Stephanie was also a great touch and I got compliments on it all day. My MOH loved both Stephanie and Maymah! She said she had some acne spots that Stephanie was able to hide very well, and appreciated all the questions and input she had, such as makeup for her specific skin type. My mother does not frequently wear makeup and loved the more subtle, mature makeup that was applied to her. I also loved seeing my mom get her makeup done in front of the makeup table Stephanie brought, and loved being able to see her be glamourous! Thank you so much, Brides Nest! I can't even begin to express how beautiful Stephanie made me feel. I'm not usually someone close to being glamorous, but what Stephanie achieved in a short amount of time was phenomenal. Like many, I found her through instagram and was instantly curious and nervous, but it was such an amazing opportunity to pass up and I'm glad I went through with it. She is such a kind, thoughtful, and meticulous person who listened and understood what I wanted to achieve for my wedding day. From our HAMU trial, I was mad I had no where I needed to go because I never looked so fabulous! Seeing such great results, my mother and my best woman were inclined to sign up for her services for my wedding without even needing to do a trial run. All three of us looked simply stunning, and it was all thanks to her! The makeup and lashes she used lasted throughout the entire night - through wardrobe changes, LOTS of tears and, honestly, sweat from hitting the dance floor too hard! I have no idea what sort of lashes or adhesive she used, but damn they were super light and lasted even past the next morning! Please look no further - Stephanie was such a delight! Very responsive, accommodating, and insanely talented. Thank you for everything. read more

I booked Stephanie several months in advanced for my engagement shoot after discovering her on Instagram. She was very responsive from the beginning and it was clear that she's incredible at what she does. Upon meeting her after months of correspondence, I felt comfortable being left in her hands. Stephanie is so down to earth and it felt more like a friend doing my makeup and hair. I loved my end results and it seemed so effortless on her part. My engagement shoot lasted about 3 hours and that included us being outdoors for most of it on a cold cloudy day. After we returned, my makeup was still completely flawless and it was with a reluctant heart to wash it off. Book with Stephanie and her team, you won't regret it! read more

Working with Stephanie was nothing short of amazing!! Her professionalism and exceptional skills with make up and hair styling are top tier! I was so thrilled to find out about her work from our photographer's recommendations. As I was shopping around for different HMU artists, I felt like there were not many I found who catered to a clientele with my skin tone and hair texture. So when I found Stephanie's website and social media, I was delighted to see her work in hair and make up style for brides with a similar bridal look that I had envisioned. Communication with her was a breeze as she always responded to my inquiries promptly. It was nice to avail of her special promo last year when she offered a free HMU trial upon booking her services for for my wedding. She was very accommodating as she was open to feedback about how my trial went and welcomed the use of the products that I knew worked well with my skin on my wedding day. On my big day, I was so surprised by how efficient she was in setting up her workstation at our hotel. She was thorough in every aspect, calm, and works in a way that does not feel rushed. She truly made my morning more relaxing and comfortable! She was so efficient that we ended up finishing up about over an hour before the time we had arranged for, which left us with more minutes to prepare all the little details. She did a fabulous job with my MIL's hair and make-up! I was very well pleased with the quality of her work on me! I even brought up a personal request for her to fix my uneven eyelids. He worked her magic with the tape and make up. I was so amazed when you could hardly even notice it at all in the photos or in person!!! I love how when you ask, she truly delivers beyond your expectations! My make-up stayed on all night despite all the tears during the ceremony and sweat from dancing the night away. I highly recommend her work and booking her for your special day or any special occasion! Stop scrolling through more reviews. You can trust her skills in enhancing your uniquely beautiful self!! read more

Stephanie and her team did the most amazing job for my wedding yesterday. When I saw the deal for FREE hair and makeup for brides I was skeptical but went for it and it is definitely NOT a scam!!! They showed up early had a wonderful set up and made me and my girls gorgeous!! My hair was the best it's ever looked and my makeup wasn't caked on or too much it was natural but beautiful it also stayed so well even after sobbing throughout my wedding. Would highly recommend! This is one of the best deals that a bride could get, and yes it is really free for any bride to be! Stephanie is so sweet and will really make you feel good and confident on your wedding day! Hair and make up stayed all day long, from 10 in the morning to midnight. She even accomodated my late booking for my entourage . Thank you so much Stephanie read more

I had the pleasure of having my wedding day makeup done by Stephanie. I thought the promotion deal was too good to be true but thankfully communication with Stephanie from day 1 had been totally reassuring. On the day of my wedding, Stephanie showed up even earlier than stated time had definitely relieved my anxiety. She is a professional and a pleasure to work with. I immediately trusted her with doing my makeup and the final product looked so pretty! She has definitely delivered by giving me a hair/makeup that worked well as a Chinese bride and also easily transitioned to a modern reception look. I am grateful to have Stephanie as my makeup/hair artist and highly recommended Stephanie to anyone, especially brides out there who are still looking for the one makeup/hair artist who truly cares about making you look/feel your best. read more

I fully trusted her with my full look she definitely exceeded my expectations for my glam on my wedding day. I never have thought I can be extra more beautiful even just for a day and she made it happen. I could never thank her enough in making my special day extra memorable. Everything is so perfect. Dewi is so goo with her work too as she did my my hair perfectly as I want it. As I walked out of my hotel room everyone compliments my make up and hair read more

Absolutely amazing company! They were hired for my friends wedding, and did a phenomenal job on us all. The bride looked flawless. The pricing reasonable & so worth it, especially with how relaxed and effortless they made this part of the day feel for us. Punctual, listened to our requests, and creative with our hair and makeup, so that it all went together but each person's was unique! Hair and makeup lasted throughout the night, even with the crazy dancing that happened! I would recommend them to anyone in the SoCal area for sure. read more
