Angelina has a gift! I went yesterday for my first appointment to get my eyebrows shaped after not having even tweezed for 3 months and she made the mess I came in with look amazing. I was hesitant to try a tint but she explained the process to me and I love how it came out. I wanted a very natural look and for my brows to be as full as possible and she really listened. My natural brows were light, sparse, and tragically over-plucked. Thankfully, Angelina rescued my brows with micro-feathering in 2018 and I've never looked back! I trusted the process, even when I thought I was *not* getting what I requested. It's now been 2 years, and I think it's time to leave a review. I came to Angelina because I was interested in microfeathering. She confirmed that she provided microfeathering as a service. I also saw some examples of microfeathering on her website and social that I liked. When I came in for my appointment, she noticed my anxiety about getting permanent makeup and reassured me that the results would look great. While my eyebrows numbed, she gave me a complimentary BB Glow treatment (apparently there is growing evidence that BB Glow treatments are really not good for your skin in the long run), and we talked about the shape I wanted. I reaffirmed that I wanted microfeathering, really to fill in some of the patchier spots on my eyebrows and make my eyebrows look just a bit fuller. When she drew out a shape, I started getting more nervous as it was very angular, didn't follow the general shape of my eyebrows, and it felt like we were heading more in a microblading direction. I told Angelina that I wanted something more gentle, less of an arch, and to follow the curve of my eyebrows. She told me to trust the process and that I'd look beautiful. Fine. But when she was finished, the result was definitely microblading - crosshatch microblading that didn't come close to following the direction of my eyebrow hairs. But what can you do when the damage has been done? Angelina assured me it would look much better after it healed and to trust. the. process, so I bit my tongue, paid her, and went on my way. The eyebrows were healing in a way where I knew I would be unhappy with the shape, so I spent a lot of time over the next several weeks doing my best to fade the starkest bits of eyebrow with AHAs, retinol, etc. I got the eyebrows to a place where I was mostly happy with the shape. The crosshatching continued to annoy me because it was obvious that I got microblading done (again, the strokes went against the direction of my eyebrows), but in general, with eyebrow products and concealer, I was able to make my brows look how I wanted them to look. I got "microfeathering" so that I wouldn't HAVE to spend so much time on my eyebrows, but again, damage was done. After a while, I decided that I wanted a clean slate and looked into removing the permanent makeup. After consulting with a tattoo removal company, I contacted Angelina to see what kind of pigment she uses for microblading, as it would be helpful for determining course of treatment. *I never received a response.* I went ahead and tried a test spot, and the pigment darkened and turned a little red. So, found out that Angelina uses pigment that contains iron oxide, and that pigment oxidized when we applied a laser to it. I was declared ineligible for further treatment because it was likely that the laser would make the permanent makeup worse. Not happy. All in all, I'm no longer going to ignore the evidence and trust the process when getting permanent makeup. I saw pictures of lovely microfeathering in Angelina's portfolio, but I also saw crosshatch microblading, like what I ended up receiving. I also saw evidence during treatment that I was not going to get the results that I wanted. And now, I can't even get what's left removed. Angelina is probably great for someone who wants and is 100% committed to bold, arched eyebrows. If that isn't you, find someone who does permanent makeup exactly how you'd like it to be done, consistently, and probably check what inks they use before you get something embedded into your skin that you can't get out. read more

Angelina has been doing my eyebrows for almost two years now. She's wonderful! Great technique and super nice. I started with a microfeathering package (3 sessions). And now I go for touch ups every 6 months or so. During the touch ups, she'll either do a microblading session or just a tint--depending on how my eyebrows are looking. With my skin tone and all the products I use on my face, the ink tends to look ashy on me after about a year. I'm just one of those types that doesn't always handle ink well. (This is confirmed from other places I've been to in the past.) But she always fixes it, no problem! She really does a good job of seeing what you specifically need, instead of using a one-size-fits-all way of working. I think the price is very reasonable considering everything she offers within the package. The 3 microfeathering sessions, 1 or 2 microblading touch up sessions, and all subsequent tweezing and tinting sessions are included in the microfeathering package (at least that was true when I started going to her. Could be different now since prices change every so often.) Any additional microblading touch ups after that are very reasonably priced "add-ons". Communication is always really good with her. And her work lasts longer on me than any other technician I've tried. She's great, and I've always been super happy with my results! read more

Angelina had been tinting and shaping my brows for the last couple months and I really started to see a big difference.
