Brooklyn matched her color beautifully and had very respectful chats with her. Then Brooklyn attended to my needed pedicure as my wife's nails were drying. I totally enjoyed our conversation about family, food favorites and travels. I also enjoyed side conversations about good dining in China... interesting dishes. I highly recommend Mulan Nails and Spa. We were treated with friendly greetings, warm smiles, and perfect respectful service. We will be back soon.

There was only one other patron there in the salon. We each got the Luxury (four star) pedi. This was my first time getting the hot stone massage. It was very nice and relaxing. The massage chair was also nice as well. The salon looked orderly and the staff were all friendly. They asked if we wanted a drink. My technician frequently asked if the water temperature was ok to make sure I was comfortable which I appreciated. We enjoyed our pedi and bonding time.

I had previously stopped going to this salon and left a negative Yelp review many years ago…read more However, I recently heard that it was under new management and decided to give it another chance due to its convenient location. Unfortunately, my recent experience was far from satisfactory. During my third visit for a gel manicure, the quality was subpar. The polish started peeling off at the cuticle after just a week, and it even curled and caught on things, causing further damage to the manicure. Frustrated, I reluctantly scheduled a fourth and final appointment. The 3 pedicures I received were average at best. I feel it's important to caution others about a particular nail technician named Bebe or BB. In my experience, she displays abusive behavior towards customers. During my last visit, I was surprised at how extensively my nails were sanded down considering there was almost no polish left. My nails were damaged from the sanding and paper thin now. The technician appeared disorganized and left me waiting for an extended period. Another technician, BB, took over the service and lacked professionalism from the start. When I informed her that I had already chosen my colors, she insisted I find them again, even though I had already communicated my preference to the previous technician. BB's tone was rude when she directed me to wash my hands, and she scolded me when I unknowingly sat in the wrong seat. Despite my efforts to remain calm due to health concerns, she questioned the last time I had a manicure, denying that it had been done at their salon. I couldn't believe the confrontational attitude she exhibited throughout the interaction. Before the manicure began, I calmly requested that she not cut my cuticles, expressing my preference for them to be pushed back instead. However, she ignored my request and proceeded to vigorously buff my nails with a rectangular buffer, causing discomfort. When I reminded her to be more gentle, she continued the rough buffing even though I told her she was causing pain, disregarding my discomfort caused by my existing neuropathy. To my surprise, she skipped the step of soaking my fingernails in warm soapy water, claiming that I didn't want a manicure because I didn't want my cuticles cut. This contradiction left me frustrated, and I decided to leave. However, she demanded payment for polish removal, even though there was hardly any polish left on my nails. After giving her a partial payment and attempting to leave, she blocked my path and continued to scream at me. This was by far the worst manicure experience I have ever had, both in terms of the service quality and the personal interaction. The fact that the owner did nothing to address the situation was disappointing and further added to my dissatisfaction. I strongly advise potential customers to steer clear of this salon unless they want to endure an unpleasant and unprofessional experience. UPDATE. BB DESTROYED MY NAILS. THE NEXT DAY, ONE BY ONE, MY NAILS STARTED RIPPING OFF. I HAVE STRONG NAILS AND THEY ARE RUINED FROM HER PSYCHO BUFFING AND SANDING! July 21, 2023 NOTE TO OWNER! Your unprofessional nasty response and actions finally made sense today. I went to a wonderful salon where they treated me great and gave me a fantastic manicure and pedicure. My nails were completely ruined. They were so bad that they could not even give me a gel manicure as they had to remove the damage to my nails. In my entire life, my nails have never been soft and bendable and torn. I was telling the wonderful people there about what happened. I found out that the horrible woman who treated me like trash is your wife. That completely makes sense that you are co-owners. An owner, who had any authority or cared about his business would have fired her. Now we know who wears the pants in your family and it's not you. If anybody wants a recommendation for a fabulous salon in Murrells Inlet, reach out to me. Avoid this one like the plague. Shame, shame on you and your nasty wife.
