Anel's class is amazing, she makes it so much fun with her warm open spirit, her enthusiasm and her lovely sense of humor. Attended her Zumba class on Mondays at Aprils Yoga Studio and it was THE BEST Zumba class I have ever been too. Zumba is great, but the instructor makes the class and Anel doesn't disappoint. Her high energy and attitude are fantastic and I will definitely be making this my go to activity to de-stress and have some fun, all while getting in a killer workout. I have taken the Zumba classes at my gym but didn't stick with it, as the instructor was just OK. Paying the $7 for an amazing hour of fun is well worth it! read more

High energy and an engaging personality. I never thought I would enjoy a cardio class as much as I have with Anel, she motivated me like no one has to do it better, faster and stronger. I became addicted to her class and her energy. Bubbly, funny and just a really nice person to talk to. Showing modifications in her class were welcomed as I needed to modify some movements due to some limitations I have. I highly recommend this instructor!!! I hope I am lucky to be in another Body Combat class or any other class taught by her. Her classes were the highlights of my week. New Year 2015, I will start Yelping, and my first review will go to Anel! Anel is one of the best instructor ever that I have come across. I have taken both her classes for body combat and Zumba (mostly body combat), and it was a great experience. I remember walking around the gym one day seeing her taught body combat and were kind of intimidated by how much energy she had! I thought what kind of class is this...with all these crazy punching, kicking, and jumping moves. I decided to give her body combat class a try and instantly got hooked (possibly addicted too)! Because of body combat, I was able to lose more than 10 pounds and get in shape without really changing my terrible eating habit...XD With such a great charisma, Anel motivates everyone to work hard in the class. Best of all, she makes the class feels like a family by trying to get to know everyone's name and cheering us on! Her body combat class has always been the highlight of my day, especially when I feel like I have a bad day, all the stresses and worries go away after her class. Anel is also very caring, always reminding us to eat healthily and take time to exercise. Such inspiring instructor is hard to find these days. I am writing a review about her awesome Zumba class "Mamacitas en Accion." This is a workout class with our babies. We workout (dance) using our strollers or baby carriers. As a mom of an infant this is a great workout for me and my baby, as he is entertained by the music and seeing his momma moving around. Anel is energetic, charismatic, and I love how she modifies the steps to accommodate your needs. After one class my whole body was sore, and after a few more classes I felt like a pro at dancing. read more

When you run across a special human being who is awesome and a pure blessing to you, it's not a 4 star rating, it's a galaxy of stars. She has facilitated major changes in my life, helped me set and reach weight and overall fitness goals. She is one of the best trainers I've ever had and I am constantly amazed in her level of knowledge, technique and ability to work with a stubborn person like me. I love looking at myself in the mirror and I finally feel sexy in my jeans.... Geepers, all women should say that. Last August I weights in at 172 and today I am 40 lbs less and doing all the physical exercising of a twenty-something year old. Anel is by far one of my favorite fitness instructors! She is super sweet and so good at what she does. She always has the BEST attitude and is so motivational that I'd venture to said it'd be impossible not to have fun while working out and getting fit in her classes. Been working out for years and Anel Zumba class is a GREAT workout. Her Zumba class includes classic workout moves and incorporates different parts of the body. Most zumba classes don't really give a good workout but this class I was sweating and very tired at the end. Definitely recommend it and will return. read more

I am writing about Anel Meyer as it relates to her personal training services. I first started with Anel by joining her Zumba class which was great! But, I soon realized that I really wanted more 1:1 training. I have joined a gym in the past but I guess I'm not really a "fitness gym" type of person and I know if I was left on my own, I wouldn't go regularly. For me, getting up to go and workout is half the battle. By doing 1:1 personal training with Anel, she makes it easy for me to get in and out. I change into my workout clothes at work; drive directly to Anel's; get my 1 hour of workout in and I'm done. I'm on my way home. No fuss. I don't have to wait for machines, look for parking, use locker rooms, deal with chatty people who mean well, or deal with "questionable" people who don't mean so well. Also, joining a local gym means that I'm bound to run into someone I know who will inevitably want to use up what little time I have. I have 2 young kids - and with homework, sports, activities, family commitments, etc. I simply don't have any time to spare. Anel converted her detached garage into a workout area. She has all of the equipment we need and we have used every piece of it. No machines. She changes the sessions up and we do resistance training, cardio, weight lifting. She will definitely work you out and push you to keep going even when you don't think you have anything left. I've been doing personal training with her for about 1 year now. I know I'm much stronger than I was a year ago and I feel better too. Anel's very accommodating with my schedule. She is fantastic! read more
