The teachers are amazing and so patient. They do not make the kids do anything they don't want to and let the parents know. I appreciate that because I would rather be the one to have the tough talk. The teachers are well versed in encouragement and classes are fun, so my boys look forward to class. Seating inside is limited but there is additional seating on the other side by the restroom, you just cant see your kid when seated there. Bathrooms are clean and we'll maintained! I enrolled my son in the hip hop class and wanted to get my daughter in the hula class, but the latter is extremely popular with a couple dozen people already on the waitlist. The parking lot is shared with some other businesses so it can get pretty packed but I was luckily able to score a spot when I arrived. The studio is easy to navigate, with 3 different dance rooms holding simultaneous classes. There is a bench against the wall where parents can sit and watch if they want, although the view isn't ideal. You can also just drop your kid off at a class and come back for pickup. The studio is conveniently located a couple of blocks away from Grand so plenty of things to do in the area while you wait. The classes are a great way for kids to burn off some extra energy while also learning a new skill set. The techniques taught are age appropriate and the teachers are warm and friendly. There are two (optional) recitals held throughout the year so the students can showcase everything they learned. And the monthly price of membership is very competitive for what you're getting out of it.

They are very flexible, which I appreciate as my daughter is signed up for Saturday morning class but sometimes that is not always manageable so she's allowed to attend the Monday class when she can't make the Saturday class. Miss Grace has been my daughter's teacher since day one- another big plus! I've seen many programs (especially children's programs) where the teachers/coaches/whoever change frequently and that can be disappointing since children are creating trust and attachment, the consistency in routine is lost and it makes management look bad. Seeing that Miss Grace has never missed teaching a Saturday (or Monday) class shows me that she loves her work, she loves the children and Shely likely is a good employer. At least, that is my assumption. MIss Grace has also been assertive in letting me know when my daughter has misbehaved, another quality I appreciate. I am not looking for someone to coddle my child- I'm looking for a professional who takes their role and their art seriously. Not because I am a Stage mom but because I want any interest my daughter takes on to be reciprocated with the same respect and dedication. Who wants a coach who lets kids run crazy? Who wants a music teacher who lets the student continue to sound awful? Who wants a dance teacher who lets children goof off and be a brat during class? I don't! She began dancing at WSPA at just two and a half years old, training in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and musical theatre. Her training at WSPA has given her opportunities we could have only dreamed of when she first started. Watching her receive these accomplishments has been incredibly rewarding, but even more meaningful has been seeing the confidence, discipline, artistry, and joy she has developed along the way. I met with Chris for a consultation and he explained to me how his program worked. I told Chris what my goals were and he listened. I signed up for both group classes and semi private training sessions. I attended an average of 3-5 classes per week when my schedule permitted it. The group classes do fill up quickly so you'd have to really plan ahead and sign up for it with their online scheduling. I lost a total of 5lbs within 6 months of Chris' Program and built back my endurance. I feel stronger and more energized because of his workouts. I weigh less than I did pre pregnancy!
