Cindy twisted my fingers, smashed them against the plastic partition, dug her nails in my hand... I let it slide for a couple minutes until I realized she was absolutely hurting me on purpose. I drew my hands back and said, "Stop trying to hurt me- what you're not going to do, is twist my fingers around." She screamed that she was wasn't, that she never wants to do my nails, and I shouldn't come back. (Context: This was my first time here, asked for a full removal of my last acrylics and a new set- she proceeded to dump acrylic on my nails in clumps and then grow more agitated as I pointed out which nails had been cured onto my finger and needed additional shaping so they wouldn't bleed when growing out. Extremely respectful tone I used with her the entire time; thanking her throughout the process- I have never been rude to someone in the nail or food industry a day in my life.) Her manager (Andy) came over to calm her down, and screamed at her to shut up and go, as she yelled at customers on her way to the back- He took $5 off for the inconvenience (had a toe nail color change, too... quality was not great- paint on the skin around my nails- I didn't point that out, knowing I could fix it when I got home). My husband came in, talked to Andy, who came out to apologize to me and make excuses for Cindy, saying she was stressed out. She needs to be let go- very dangerous environment. This salon offers extremely professional and excellent quality nail services. The owner, Tony, has done a wonderful job making the salon a comfortable and welcoming place to visit. I have been visiting this salon for about a year. Cindy does my gel nails and usually my pedicure. Sometimes, Andy does my pedicure. Both professionals are excellent at their craft. Additionally, they genuinely care about their customers! This is evident as they care to engage in pleasant conversation as they are performing services thus making their customers feel comfortable and genuinely welcome. The prices are fair for this area, and if for whatever reason you are not 100% satisfied, make your request known, and they will work to insure you are happy. I have had my nails professionally attended to for years visiting salons from California to Florida, and Andy's Nails is of the better salons I have visited. Thank you Tony, Cindy, and Andy! This nail salon is the WORST! I spent $23 on an "express pedicure" and immediately removed the polish as soon as I got home...seriously, it was that bad. I was too passive to complain to the management about the horrible job, but let's just say that it looked like my 10 year old sister had painted my toes. The woman was very sweet, but I'm not sure if it was too early or she just didn't give a shit, because she didn't even let the base coat dry before she started applying the polish. Also, didn't even clean out my nails/push the cuticles back before starting the pedicure. This is by far the BEST nail salon I have encountered in the Panhandle. It's newly renovated and exsquisitely clean. The staff is wonderful; they're friendly, thorough, and speak English very well. (Let's face it, that last one can be quite hard to find in nail techs.) I wear the pink and white acrylic nails and this salon gave me the best fill I've ever had! He actually filled the white tip along with the pink base then applied the acrylic glaze over and set them under the UV light. It looks like a whole new set! read more

I wouldn't go there I've been there a couple of times and was way over charged. A new set of fake nails is supposed to be $40.00 and a refill is supposed to be $30. But i went for a refill and my daughter went with me and he charged me $100. Without the tip. I wouldn't recommend it. read more

The man who works there is an jerk who said my mom couldn't sit in the chair next to me. (the place was empty) he said "the chairs are for customers only, if you want to sit in a chair, you can to get a pedicure" in a very nasty way. I wouldn't waste my money on an attitude like that. read more

Awful! Very expensive for poor quality. Painfully removed my gel pedicure with sander, it burned almost the whole time. They applied old polish that never dried. I put on shoes hours later and paint smudged. Tried to have them fix it, but they argued my nail isn't smooth and that's why the paint looked the way it did! read more

I used to like Andy's but lately they have been doing some shady stuff. I got a full set and a pedicure. I always get a design and they called another girl over to draw a flower on my toes even though the same girl always does my flower. When It came time to tip, (I always tip them really well) they insisted that I tip the girl who did the flower, too! They only called her over so I would have to tip her. It was one of the family members and I guess it was a slow day.. just crazy stuff like that they keep doing has lost my business and Ive been going there a long time. As far as nails they do a pretty good job, nothing special thats for sure. read more

I visited this shop while on vacation, and I can't say that I was very impressed with my initial experience here. The good: The staff is extremely friendly and seems to be hard working. The spa is very neat and clean, and the atmosphere of the salon is tranquil and relaxing. The pricing is also reasonable. Hence the three stars. The bad: Although the employees are friendly, I find the owner is anything but! He is condescending and made me feel uncomfortable at times during my visit. First of all, when I walked in he was discussing the pricing of his Shellac manicures (which are $40 initially and $25 for polish changes) with a customer. When the customer stated the same service is available at other establishments in Destin, FL for $20 per appointment, the owner's response was, "Well go to Destin and get your nails done!" I was shocked at his customer service, but decided to try his service regardless. I got a pedicure from one of the employees, which went well for the most part. He didn't cut or shape my nails evenly or consistently, but I could live with it. The massage was excellent and the best part of my entire visit. The real issues didn't start until it was time for my polishing. At this time, the owner took over my appointment after informing the employee that he was taking too long. He quickly, and I mean quickly and sloppily, slapped the polish on my toes and rushed me out of the chair. When placing on my shoes, he nicked my paint and did not even offer to fix it. At this point, I didn't care, I was just ready to leave especially after it was so obvious that I was being rushed anyway. So I walked over to the dryer only to find that he was following closely behind to collect payment. I was trying to make a comment to husband, when the owner rudely interrupted to ask which of us would be paying the bill. He also asked me aloud if I would like to tip my nail technician, then gave me an ugly look once I said no. I only tip when I enjoy my service completely, from start to finish, and I just feel that is a private matter that should not be discussed in front of other customers. It's very tacky in my opinion. After the way I was treated, I doubt I will ever visit this place again when I visit. I felt as if I was rushed and treated as if I was untrustworthy when it came time for payment. Again the facility and atmosphere were great, but I'm a stickler for customer service so I can't say I'd recommend this salon. read more

Very disappointed. I rarely get manicures because the paint chips off. I got Shellac because I heard it lasts longer and doesn't chip and it isn't hard on your nails like acrylics. I had shellac on my nails that I got elsewhere and went in to get a new shellac manicure. The technician let my nails soak in acetone for only 2 minutes and then started using a dremmel tool to remove the polish. I didn't really think anything of it at the time. 2 weeks later I soaked off the shellac in acetone at home. My usually strong nails are now extremely weak and keep breaking. They are sore, as if they are bruised. I asked my friend who gets shellac often and she said it is crazy that they took it off with a dremmel tool because it weakens your nails tremendously. I wish I had realized what she was doing and asked her to just soak it off. Especially since they charged me extra to remove the polish and essentially destroy my nails. read more

Terrible experience. Will never go there again.. Took my 5 year old daughter with me to have an mom and me mani/pedi together... Services were mediocre but the manager was rude and made us feel rushed. Then when my polish was done very sloppy on my toes ( it was up on the skin and all over the cuticles) I asked the lady to please clean them up around the edges.. The male manager comes rushing over and ask what the problem is then he begins to take my polish all off and tells me to paint them myself! I was appalled. He said to show him how I wanted it done. The whole time my daughter is completely finished, bored and treated like she was in the way... I could go on and on with more details of the experience, but save yourself the time and money and try another nail salon... Goodness knows there is plenty to choose from... Not a large selection of colors but that doesn't bother me since I typically get French. Andy does a great leg/foot message but doesn't do the best job at shaping the nail. The other staff are great as well. Clean, friendly and usually show animals planet on one of the TVs. Cash or check only but they did offer to reimburse ATM fee. read more
