We are new to Texas, moved here a few weeks ago. We love trying new places and my teens were excited for ice cream so we decided to try out Andy's. Upon walking up to the window we noticed how it looked like Charlie and the chocolate factory exploded inside and all over the workers. Every single worker had chocolate ice cream and toppings ALL over their clothes and aprons! This was the most unkept ice cream shop we have ever seen! Literally, the messiest and most unorganized place! The milkshake stand was disgusting with all kinds of different shakes sloshed all on the inside of the machine! Dirty gross wet stained towels on every counter! There could be so much more organization and cleaning done as they make shakes and ice cream! When we got our ice cream it was already melting in the cups and looked watery. We were offered spoons and napkins from a worker of who knows when the last time was he washed his hands. He was friendly and looked like a kid that was just giddy to have ice cream slopped all over him like it was a toddler that was playing in his food. We pretty much wasted $20 here and by the time we got home the ice cream was like water. We dumped all three concretes and literally my kids asked me to pick them up ice cream from Handel's ice cream. Which wasn't perfect but at least it was more sanitary and everyone wasn't sloshed with ice cream and chocolate all over their clothes! This place needs an overhaul with cleanliness and organization! Clean as you go and keep the stations clean and keep CLEAN towels to wipe spills! One big sticky melted ice cream mess inside! Very sad! read more

Andy's is awesome! Skip the blasts, blizzards, and even frostys. This is our go to for a great treat with toppings mixed in. Great tasting, great variety of toppings, always taking visitors here too. We love getting Jack hammers to fill the middle too. If your a regular make sure you had the app for rewards! Drive thru or walk up, great easy going, fun environment with good and quick service. They can get really busy on weekend nights just be patient. read more

After spending some time at the soccer field during a hot Saturday afternoon, ice cream is what we wanted to cool us off. We headed to Andy's for a sweet treat. We parked and walked up to the window to order. The gkids each ordered a kid's sundae with Oreo topping. It's listed on the kids menu at $4.49 and for ages 12 & under. Well, the grandparents also wanted that and so we ordered 5 of them. It was nice that no one hassled us adults also about ordering off of the kids menu. It was 3:00 in the afternoon so we didn't want to spoil our appetite by ordering a larger treat. Mom & dad ordered a treat to share. The kids sundae's arrived pretty quickly but we had to wait a really long time - over 5 minutes for the regular sized treat. We had already finished our kid sundae's in the car before the last item came out! The ice cream, cherry and Oreo toppings were really good. A little pricey for $4.50 for the amount of ice cream that you get. But, for a special treat celebrating the end of the soccer season it was fine. I go to Andy's and order and pay 10$ for a medium jackhammer and I get it and it's 3/4s full and no I hadn't eaten any yet. Andy's is already expensive but I love their ice cream and when I go it's always full but last night???? I mean come on people thought I already ate some of it like that's bad. Awesome new addition to Prosper! They opened up a few months ago and now have a steady stream of happy customers. The lines move fast, though I think it's slightly faster ordering at the window vs. drive thru. Just like the Frisco location, the turtle sundae does not disappoint. Came here on a Saturday night just 15 minutes before closing! The line moved quickly. There was someone taking orders through a tablet before you got to the window. I would suggest knowing your order before since the person takes orders fast! The prices were reasonable. I expected it to cost more! We opted to get concretes: 1 small bootdaddy concrete & 1 mint cookie concrete! When we got to the window, it didn't take long for us to get our order. This is how it looked like. We were slightly disappointed that it wasn't filled to the top! My sister really enjoyed her mint. I liked the consistency and taste of the custard, however I probably won't order bootdaddy again as everything together proved to be too sweet for me (and I have a very sweet tooth!) Went to Andy's with my family, the employee gave us the wrong order. When I politely asked for the correct one, she gave me attitude and rolled her eyes saying "next time tell me the right order", when i did? On top of that, we paid $40 for melted, wrong ice cream. Complete waste of money. Terrible service, and clearly no care for customers. read more

The ordered is outdoors with benches for seating. We asked to use the restroom and they unlocked a side door. It was clean and supplied. The menu has bizarre names for items and is large. The order came quickly as they were well staffed. It was pricy. read more

I think I gained 5 pounds on my visit to Texas because of this place. SOO GOOD. The James brownie is so decadent. The type of dessert that sticks to the roof of your mouth sort of thing, you know what I mean? Best to have on those hot Texas days. We'll be back when visiting from California! read more

I normally come to this location but I won't be back. I came up to the window and the lady at the window, Kali I believe. Took our order and was being rude while we were ordering then after we ordered she slammed the window shut. My friend ordered something similar to mine and said "oh I'll get the same thing but with different toppings" then she felt the need to say "so you didn't get the same thing ok" didn't really need to say that but ok. Doesn't cost anything to just be nice. We asked for a remake because it wasn't made how we ordered and we were polite when asked for a remake and when we came up to the window and she took the ice cream she turned and said something to her coworkers and thought we didn't hear. read more

I prefer to drive the extra mile or so to go to this Andy's location because it is so worth it! The parking area is always clean, free of debris, and there are plenty of parking spaces, even when it's very busy. It's very easy to get to from Preston Road, which makes it very convenient. There seems to be plenty of friendly staff members working so I've never experienced a long wait, here. They are very knowledgeable about the different menu items and are really helpful making suggestions on case you aren't sure what to get! They don't skimp on ingredients, and everything always tastes fresh and delicious. They also fill the cups up to the top, unlike some other locations, so you actually get what you pay for. My son in law went to pick up an order for 4 people. He wasn't given a carrier because the new policy was " there needed to be a shake" in the order. He came in with melted custard pouring down his shirt. Your new policy is STUPIDLY RIDICULOUS! read more

Wow! I came on a Sunday and it seems the line never ends! Great selection of "Concretes" & "Jackhammers" for those that love crunchy, chunky, fudge & caramelly frozen custard. Similar to ice cream, custard has a denser yet silkier texture and holds all these fun add-ins really well. There are also Floats, malts and craft soda on tap. The window service is incredibly friendly and efficient, the drive thru does not sit stagnant. The only difficulty here is what to choose. read more

I am a proud ice cream addict, and I'd heard so much about Andy's and when I came to visit Dallas, I was really anxious to try it. Everything building up to the experience was great. Driving up, I saw welcoming red building and the long line of cars waiting which peaked my interest even further. I decided to park instead of waiting in the long drive-thru line and walked up to the counter contemplating what to order. I got the Triple Chocolate Concrete with almonds, but when I got it, it was basically chocolate milk. It was all melted and watery. Instead of a spoon, I needed a straw to eat it. They also put way too much chocolate syrup in it and it was super sweet. The service was great. Super nice and friendly kid working in the front, but I would have to say that the quality of the ice cream is just average and doesn't live up to the hype. I think they could do better to make the frozen custard actually a bit more frozen instead of melted to the point of having to drink it through a straw. In the end, I had a somewhat pricy, very sweet, cup of chocolate milk. If you like super sweet, melted (watery) ice cream, this place is for you. read more

FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!!!! If I could give them 20 stars I would! The general manager hooked it up for myself and my husband! I am 7 months pregnant and had a late night craving for Andy's! My husband was skeptical that the ice cream would melt. I insisted he call and the general manager blessed us with my order + a few pints of ice cream all on the house. Love the custard but the sweetness and quality are inconsistent. The a la carte ones tend to be a tad sweeter than the pre-packaged quarts. Also a bit more watery. Service is great in general. Great location. read more
