The line was moving, but the place was packed. I asked one of the girls working if this was their normal and she said it was actually out of the ordinary for them, so we'll definitely plan a return trip when things are a little less chaotic. One small bummer was that they were out of cookies for the ice cream sandwiches, which we had been looking forward to. Happens though, especially on a night like that. Once we got to the front, the ice cream did not disappoint. I went with the chocolate chip cookie dough, which was a solid choice. But the real star of the night was my wife's salted caramel. The caramel flavor was deep and rich in a way that I genuinely don't think three scoops would have been enough. That one is a must-order. Big shoutout to the two girls working that night. They were hustling hard to take care of everyone and kept the line moving without missing a beat. Real MVPs. She was having a difficult time scooping the ice cream into the pint containers, so a gentleman working behind the counter as well, took over. As I watched him pack the containers I thought they looked kind of shallow. At other ice cream stores I frequent, they pack the ice cream solid and heavy. I felt like they just didn't really care, actually. I was friendly and smiling as I'm one of "those people" who wants everyone to like them! I paid for the order and tipped 15% on the register. That was the smallest percent offered unless you said "no tip" or custom. I I typically tip much more but felt like I shouldn't since they were so unfriendly. Overall, for the price I felt this wasn't entirely worth it and that I'd get more of better at somewhere like Coldstone. However, the boardwalk back area is very nice and bustling on a Friday evening.
