Convenient and tasty. Plus the service is always pleasant. Tonight's order even included $5 off using reward points!

Always a great choice for a sweet tooth and the portions (small size is what I get) are pretty good! Quick and priced right

When discussing custard, Andy's is my favorite by far. It's definitely the priciest of all the options around the valley when talking about custard but well worth it, I have tried so many plus the staff is always super friendly and you can collect points, for 50 Points = $5 Reward ($1 = 1 Point) my favorite by far is the Key Lime concrete it's seasonal. I eagerly anticipate its release each year and make sure to visit on the first day it becomes available. the menu has the full list of all the details with the full list included in the pictures. My friends and I just finished eating at a near by restaurant and wanted to get dessert in the area. My friend suggested this frozen custard spot, and I loved the overall experience! The service was super fast, and I was impressed by the variety of flavors and toppings they offer. I also think it's a fantastic concept having it as a drive-thru only spot--perfect for a quick treat on the go! I ordered a vanilla cookie dough shake, which was really good, but I do wish the cookie dough had been mixed in a bit more evenly throughout the shake. Still, it was delicious for my first time trying it, and I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. Next on my list is the jackhammer custards--they look amazing! Overall, a great spot for a quick and satisfying dessert and cravings fix especially after dinner! read more

Five stars all around. Amazing service. Awesome staff. Delicious custard. Awesome owners. Love them.

Awesome ice cream/custard chain! That's satisfied the sweet tooth cravings! The order: root beer float and a bootdaddy concrete The good: love how creamy the custard is. The bad: -it's a tad pricey -I think the custard should be a tad less sweet so that I can have more. -soft serve melts too fast read more

I'm going to echo the sentiment that this place isn't cheap, but I feel like the quality is higher than other custard spots I've tried. I got a small key lime pie concrete. It was overflowing with graham cracker and key lime goodness. I'm glad I only got a small because this stuff is rich! Hubby loved his double chocolate concrete with gummy worms on top. We got out of the car and looked at the walk up menu first because hubby hates to be rushed in a drive through. There is no lobby or inside eating area. This place is spendy but tasty, so if great custard is worth it to you, this place will hit the spot. read more

Always a solid choice. My son loves the brownie sundaes. I really like the pecans on the banana splits. Everything is great though. Who doesn't love frozen custard? Friendly staff too! read more

I do like this place and when in that area of town since want to visit! Who screams for ice cream? Me! So mentioning to the hubs we are only about 15 miles away from Andy's off we went. Why we don't have one in phoenix, I'll never know! This time hubby went with the pumpkin pie mixture which was delicious. I decided to try one of the caramel apples coated with Reese's. We order and stand salivating as we wait for our treats. The hubs gets his and mine is fully wrapped in a nice packaging but um.... It's all in one piece and come to find out they gave me a card on how to cut it myself. Now I'm not close to home by any means and hubby is enjoying his treat! You are telling me after the fact that you have no way to cut up my apple into manageable bites? Do I want to wait the full 45 minutes to an hour to get home? Maybe a whole Apple about have been disclosed before selling it. While we sit in the car because outdoor seating is limited and doesn't look very comfortable, I'm eyeballing my husband with sad puppy eyes and decide that this is not acceptable. So I politely go back to the window and explain to the great kid behind the counter my dilemma. He offers a freezer bag to transport my Apple safely home. I then ask since it's wrapped can I get ice cream instead and return the Apple? Unfortunately no. Don't you have something back there where you can cut this Apple up so I can get my instant gratification? He converses with someone else and somewhere in the back and 5 or so minutes later my Apple is sliced up for me to enjoy on the way home. I'm happy with the taste and getting to enjoy my treat. Thank you to the kids working there for solving this issue. My point? In the future let people know about it before ordering it and for goodness sakes buy an apple slicer! Lesson learned from me. Before I buy ask how it's served. End of story! Andy's is still fantastic though! read more

My family & I love Andy's ice cream selections ! Service. Our only complaint is their custard melts really fast like regular ice cream & not thick like an concrete mixer should be especially for the weather in Arizona. A tip is to download & sign up for their app to earn points per purchases & can earn free ice cream which is amazing. We have tried their banana split, s'mores & peanut butter jack hammer mixers & all of them are delicious. They even have deals on family pints size of 4-6 I believe for $20 or more. read more

Came here after dinner for a little treat. Another reviewer said they had a PB and Cookie Dough concrete. This sounded so good, I came here and ordered the same. It was delicious and I would definitely recommend. The only painful part was the cost. I got a small and it was $7.70. read more

Ice cream was great, but everyone is rude and seems mad at you all the time. Very unfriendly and just ruins the experience.

Great place for shakes and the service was great and affordable price for a good quality

We were out bird watching and Andy's Frozen Custard was nearby. I don't see many places with frozen custard so I was intrigued. Vanilla custard was rich and creamy. Very strong egg and vanilla flavor. A bit like Blue Bell french vanilla ice cream but more creamy and with stronger egg flavor. Great tasting treat. Service was fast and friendly. Next time I'll have to try a concrete or some specialty pint flavors like the cherry chip. read more

Save me Jesus we don't have Andy's Custard in Carmel, IN..........maybe that's a good thing, because I would not be able to stay away. The Concrete shakes have been our dinner for the past 2 nights....I told you I can't stay away. The young gentleman tonight even customized mine. That is customer service and we really appreciate that!! Photos next time, I promise you. read more

Hardly any seating. It does feel like stepping back in time with its large windows and architecture. I have had the popular concretes, it's all good! I would recommend a "mix it yourself" concrete recipe: Vanilla custard base, then add key lime syrup and salted pecans, make sure they add some more pecans on top after blending it. You will not be disappointed, unless you have a nut allergy;) crew looks clean and are happy to give excellent service. read more

Andy's Frozen Custard 12925 S 48th St, Phoenix AZ 85044 August 6, 2022 Saturday - 2:30 PM for a treat 2 Adults Atmosphere - N/A stars Food - 5 stars Service - 5 stars Background - My wife wanted a frozen treat on this hot hot Saturday afternoon. We had passed this place many times in the pass. So time to visit as we had to drive past it to get to the our next stop. Atmosphere - Use the drive thru so not rating. Food - I went with the Root Beer Freeze, 16 ounces, simple but so good. Cool and refreshing on this hot day. It was like having a thick root beer, and I love a root beer. Service - From the time I took the picture of the menu to the Root Beer Freeze was 4 minutes. I still had to pull forward to place my order as the menu board said order at the window. When I made the turn to the window a young lady was taking orders. She was helpful, my wife was torn between two items and she helped with decision. Future - Oh yeah, clearly with a perfect score. read more

Hands down my favorite Arizona custard. Culvers has my heart being a Wisconsin girl but Andy's comes in at a hard second (but first for AZ). I would go to the one in mesa almost regularly when I was staying with my friend for a month. We tried basically everything in the menu but my favorite is still the BootDaddy Concrete. Wish there was one closer to me in Phoenix. I've never been inside one as I always go through the drive through. They have people outside with iPads taking your order ahead of time. Good team work. I came to the drive in window and was greeted by this young lady named Anish. We gave her our order and she was very unfriendly from the start but it wasn't a big deal, but then when it came time to pay I gave her my card and I told her it needed to be swiped because chip didn't work, she 1 didn't listen to me, then she tried it 3 times and couldn't figure out how to swipe it correctly. Then finally I asked if I could just swipe it and then it finally worked . She was extremely rude she kept making terrible faces at me and kept sighing every-time I spoke. I hope some better service comes to this spot. Ice cream was very good tho!! read more

I always love this place! Both of their base custards flavors are bomb. One is chocolate is my absolute favorite and other one is vanilla. They have both sundae and concrete option. The main difference is sundae all the toppings are on top, and concrete they mix all of them together! If you are near by do try this place out! Has ample parking and a drive thru option as well! read more

We have never been here or even heard of it but we were in the mood for a sweet treat and it had good reviews. I can understand why now as I'll go ahead and add to the rave reviews... because Andy's definitely did not dissapoint! We ordered an apple pie sundae with pecans (you can opt not to add the nuts if you want) and it was out of this world delicious!!! The custard it came with was ultra creamy and had such a tasty flavor... I could have gladly ordered some custard on its own and been quite delighted. But in this sundae there was a perfect amount of caramel and pecans in it to make each and every bite with a little of each and just delicious. And let me tell you about the Apple pie in it... it was quality - warm and gooey, but the apple wasn't mushy and it had the crust in there so we really got to experience an apple pie a la mode, in a cup - with delectable custard, caramel drizzle and pecans that were lightly salted. The caramel drizzle just made it too. I believe the Apple pie may be a seasonal item, but you can do it in a mixer (which seems to be like a blizzard style blend, or you can do it in a cone) so you have options. And a lot of tasty ones at that. You'll be glad you tried this if you're a fan of Apple pie. Trust! read more

I am very much in love with this place. My favorite custard is for coffee lovers, it's called jitterbug. OMG! It is perfection. First I want to emphasize that it's custard not ice cream, which in my opinion is better. The main difference between both is that custard contains egg yolks that gives it that yummy taste. This location has both a parking and a drive through. I've always used drive through and I'm always amazed at the speed in making custards. They are fast, very friendly, and always do a great job. read more

I came here for the first time tonight after driving by the cool looking store with an outside walk up. Their menu is full of so many options it's overwhelming at first. Since I love ice cream I had no idea where to start. The prices are higher than most but that's to be expected for a non large chain. Tip: there isn't a speaker to order so take some time at the menu board before getting to the window. You order there. I ended up getting a regular concrete pb cup and cookie dough. I first noticed that there isn't a lot for mix ins at the top. I think they all automatically sink to the bottom. It's mostly ice cream for the top half of it. With that being said, the ice cream is super creamy and fresh tasting. The employees seem friendly as well. I'd come back and try again. I really want to come back and try other options. read more
