My wife raved about it and immediately became addicted saying it was the best she's had ever. I tried it. Incredible difference from any Butter Pecan I've ever had. Other brands taste like vanilla ice cream with stale pecans mixed in. Yours has a distinct buttery flavor & texture, and the pecans are so fresh. I write as a very satisfied customer, as is Lisa. All flavors we've tried are top quality. You need not worry about competition from the dozen other places in the area. Yours is the absolute best. That along with outstanding customer service will level the competition. If you can find a way to get your cart out there and get more people to taste it, they'll show up at your store. Maybe clear your smaller garage bay and store it there on a trailer. Leave coupons for shut-ins like John Knox & other convalescent homes for Door Dash delivery. Also nail & hair salons since folks are already out, have waited forever and are now deserving of a treat. Just some thoughts you've likely already thought of. I think more local exposure will draw customers who might not shop in that area very often or simply can't get there. We very much look forward to our next delicious treat!

It's not god-awful, but our entire experience was just...subpar. To start off, the service is not great. The entire place seems to be staffed by teenagers (not a bad thing!) who have not been trained to run the place well (a bad thing) and who don't know what's on offer (a very bad thing). We asked if we could substitute the cheddar cheese that comes on the burger for American cheese. She didn't know and went to ask her manager, then returned to inform us that they don't have American cheese. What kind of Americana-themed diner doesn't have American cheese?! The food was also just fine. The burger patties look like they came straight out of the freezer in a school cafeteria, but they tasted surprisingly good! Well-seasoned and not rubbery. The buns were fine. The fries were good, beer-battered and flaky but quite undercooked. The soda tasted like nothing - barely even carbonated water. To add to the (non-literal) sour taste left by the food, the ice cream was just so-so. The custard was bland and the ice cream is quite expensive, especially for not being made in-house. Boo! The ambience is cute but it seems like someone just googled "50s Americana" and added the first 15 Amazon listings to their cart to decorate the place. As another reviewer said, I am EXTREMELY disappointed to see what seems like a local institution advertising with hideous AI-generated posters. Is it really that hard to take a picture of a burger or an ice cream cone? I wouldn't recommend this place. Take a trip north to Danny's Burger Shack for a good meal instead!

However, I couldn't help but notice the egregious looking AI slop poster plastered all over the store to advertise their rewards program. It put enough of a damper on the place to make me decide to never go there again. I find it very insulting as a customer when a business tries to advertise with such obviously AI images. It makes it feel like a scam. What flavors are these even supposed to represent? You guys couldn't pull free stock images off of the internet? Polluting the environment and making your business look cheap and shady because you couldn't be bothered to use a photo of real ice cream? A phone picture of the ice cream actually in the store would've been better than this. Next time, I'll go to Poppy's on Third Street. The ice cream is better, anyway.

I ordered a $9.00 sundae to have the obviously brand new teenager (good for him to get a summer job) scoop out my chosen ice cream, then switch to the kid scoop and take half of the original sized scoop and place it in the huge cup. After the entire sundae was in the cup, he chose my toppings for me, it only took up maybe a third of the cup. I commented but nothing was done about the portions. Maybe he knew I wanted to be on a diet anyway. The regular two scoop orders I had were fine, but the sundae and milkshake didn't even come close to filling the containers.

I've been a member of the "club" for years now and never had an issue. The woman I believe is the manager said, "Maybe it'll load for your next visit" as if I wouldn't know that's the general Customer Service "kiss off" (not to mention that offer's only good for so many days past your birthday). I asked for a cup to put my overflow ice cream in from the waffle cone that was melting while having to stand there while she faked attempting to be doing something. She gave me the smallest cup and I had to ask for a lid. Some older gentleman came in and they went and sat in the dining area. I thought it was an interview of some sort, but then they started small talking and obviously knew each other outside of a professional setting. The younger "kid" who made my ice cream needs a raise though! He was friendly, enthusiastic, and professional. DEFINITELY the highlight of my night and the only reason I'm not giving this only 1 star!

I waited patiently to ask if they had it. When I did, the girl told me she was a trainee and that I should ask the other girl who was helping another customer. I waited again then asked if they had it, and she clearly told me, "We don't have Boo Batter, but you can just get Cake Batter. It's the same thing, but without the food dye." I was fine with that, so I waited EVEN MORE. It was about a 35 minute wait before I could order. The girl who had told me they had the Cake Batter ice cream went to the back, then came out a second later and said that they don't have it. How do you give me a substitute but not have that either? I can understand being busy, as the line was very long, but it took them about 15 minutes to help the 3 people in front of me. It doesn't take 15 minutes to put ice cream in a cup. After I had walked out, 4 people behind me did as well. This place is also a breeding ground for insects. They had about 60 waffle cones and bowls sitting out open on the counters with flies everywhere in the store that could be eating, laying eggs on, and doing god knows what on those cones. Most of the cones and bowls looked stale and burnt. They looked like they had been there for days, if not weeks. Don't waste your time or money here, because they clearly don't care about either.

Up until now, I've always had a good experience at this location. Unfortunately, my visit on 5/6/26 around 8 PM was disappointing. I ordered a quart of the Apple Pie A La Cold Stone, which is supposed to include French vanilla ice cream, apple pie filling, pie crust, cinnamon, and caramel. The young man preparing it barely added any mix-ins at all. There were only a few tiny pieces of apple in the entire container, and when I politely asked if he could add a little more, he only added what looked like one extra piece. The quart container also didn't seem properly filled for the price. I understand the employees were young and likely still learning, and I didn't want to make a scene because there was a line of customers waiting. Still, when customers are paying premium prices, they expect the portions and ingredients to match what's advertised. I'm hoping this was just an off night because I really do enjoy Cold Stone, but consistency and portion quality definitely matter.
