Very very horrible service! The waiter would barely talk to me and on top of that, he literally threw the plate on the table! Plus when I ordered the Gyro, they never told me I would have to make it myself like I'm some sort of chef or something. When you order food at restaurant, you expect the food to be made! A Happy Place. Very good diner food (we had breakfast), quick service, and a very happy crew. Our server was very nice, genuinely, and we enjoyed the clearly good vibe between servers, and laughter in the back. I haven't been to Andy's in 2 years. It used to be my "go to" place but due to the deteriorating conditions, that ended. Today, I was pleasantly surprised at my entire experience. The improvement in the service, food quality and appearance was very evident. My waitress was efficient and pleasant. Food arrived quickly and was hot. The restaurant was clean and tables and booths were in very good condition. It seems to be back to the Andy's I used to enjoy. Looks like I'll be going back to Andy's more often. read more

I honestly would give 1 or 0 stars except the waitress was so extremely nice. It was pretty dead- but it was just after fireworks and we had not had dinner yet. The decor was nice. There is a soup and salad bar. The matzoh ball soup just smelled, and my son who LOVES matzoh ball soup spit it out after one bite. The menu is huge with maybe too many options. My family each got penne vodka and fettuccine Alfredo. These dishes were expensive... with no protein. The penne vodka was flavorless and gummy. I got the French dip. It was DRY cold beef and cold melted but hardened cheese on the driest roll. The au jus on the side was super salty. The meat tasted off, I even spit it in my napkin after a few bites because I couldn't stomach it. The fries were plain and cold. We waited 40 minutes for this food, by the way. What was nice- the waitress was kind. I warned her about the chewed up food in the napkin- not for it to be removed from the check- but I didn't not want her to get a "surprise." She had it taken off right away. Overall- I will never ever ever return. I'm still unsure if I will get food poisoning. It honestly felt like a bad episode of a Gordon Ramsay show. If you go- tip Allison well. She deserves it. Oh- the desserts did look fabulous but after everything we we just wanted to leave. The juice was off condition, dark dark pineapple juice because they could not mix cranapple (but they had cranberry and apple). The sausage patty had an aftertaste, the hash browns tasted like they were cooked in lard the day before, the over easy eggs were over hard. They put "oleo" on my toast and not even a good one. The only odd thing for me is ordering the side of sausage, and I get a patty and not links, which im accustomed to. This is a great breakfast spot. Hands down my go to. We were seated, greeted, ordered, served, ate, drinks refilled when needed (without asking for it), plates cleared, all within 30 minutes. I love this place! We have been eating meals here ever since they were in Center Square and moved here. Everything is delicious. You know how restaurants go through good periods and bad periods? This family is always on point and I can always expect a great meal. My hubbys favorite is their chicken croquettes. My favorite is their gyro sandwich. My daughters favorite is their chocolate chip pancakes. Other favorites are their breakfast items and vast salad bar. IMO they cook perfect scrapple and grits every time. Just go! Last Tuesday had a morning appointment in the area. Long drive home, so wanted a slow lunch/brunch before heading back. Typical comfortable diner decor. Had to ask 3 times for water. My decaf coffee was refilled with caf. Lentil soup was very good, but I didn't check menu and it was $7.99!! for a cup, not bowl. My omelet was not well done as ordered and most of the veggies were close to raw, potatoes and toast were fine. Waitress did not come by once to ask how it was or if I needed anything. I was planning to have dessert, but waitress zipped by and tossed the check without asking if i wanted anything else. So a very mediocre lunch was $27.68 (my $11.99 omelet became $16.74 by adding cheese and requesting French fries instead of home fries). Very disappointing. read more

I always enjoy going here. There's always immediate seating, it's always a tolerable volume. Customers are never too loud. I've never had a mean waiter (it's generally the same 4-5 waiters literally every time I go). I've never had an issue with the temperature inside. They've always had a big assortment of cakes and cookies and brownies at the register. Servings are large. I like getting pasta because it comes with the salad bar. Salad bar isn't super fancy and huge but has plenty. Especially considering your pasta serving is massive so you probably don't want to stuff yourself at the salad bar. But the salad bar has several soups; this time there was matzah ball soup, chicken noodle, clam chowder and one other. They have warm breads, romaine and iceberg lettuce, lots of veggie toppings like carrot shavings, cucumbers, onions, 4-5 salad dressings, eggs, potato salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw salad, mixed fruit, chocolate pudding... Andy's Diner is one of the only diners in the area that resumed to 24/7 post pandemic. The interior is super clean and they have such unique decor from the 1950s. They have a Marilyn Monroe statue and retro lights- just to name a few. The menu is extensive and the service was great! Be aware. This diner adds on a 20percent tip to the total with tax. A tip is optional in many cases, If Andy's is having this much of an issue with tips added on individual customers they are loosing customers. In many cases I tip more but with the company charging me sales tax on a gratuity seems like I am paying twice. I dine at this place a few times a month. Food and service excellent. I've wanted to try this place forever. It's out of the way so only had the opportunity last night. I really wanted to like it because the area is lacking a diner good enough to warrant a detour. The pros: It's open 24 hours. They have a nice selection of desserts/baked goods, and an actual salad bar with several soup selections and basic desserts (i.e. pudding.) They seemed to have a decent crowd which was starting to empty out when I arrived but I was seated immediately. Serving size was generous. Prices were OK. They serve alcohol, though I stuck to a Diet Coke. The cons: I ordered the chicken parm, which was bland. I'll share the blame for that; there are dozens of Italian joints in any direction and it stands to reason they would have done it better. Next time, I'll get a club sandwich or a burger. That's forgivable. More importantly, service was barely passable. Server was friendly but didn't come around nearly enough. I'd even pushed my plate out of the way so someone would get the cue but I still waited for the check. If the restaurant was mobbed I would have understood but it wasn't. Atmosphere: When I first saw the name, I expected it to be some pub vibes, but when we pulled up, it was all retro, metallic diner. It didn't have any real pub vibes at all. Not really a big deal, but what makes it a pub? I'll probably never know. Anyway, it's a big shiny diner. Inside it has plenty of booths and tables like you would expect in a diner.  Food: Like most diners, Andy's Diner and Pub's menu have a full line of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Ultimately, I decided to be boring and get the BLT. It was ok, but it was a little dry. I could have used a condiment or something. The french fries were about the same through also dry. While my meal wasn't terrible, it could have used some seasoning or something. Service: The wait staff and hostess were pretty rude. We asked a couple of questions, and they talked to us and gave us a bit of attitude. None of my interactions felt good. I get that they were busy, but it seemed like everything we asked was a bother. Cost: $ For a BLT, it was $15. Not the most expensive diner nor the cheapest, but certainly more affordable than the West Coast. Overall Thoughts: Truthfully I am not sure. There are a ton of menu options I wouldn't mind trying, but the attitude of the wait staff turned me off. Plus, plenty of other better diners, including Minella's Diner, aren't too far away. Ordered the sliced turkey club. Hardly any turkey, tomatoes were mushy, bacon was so crisp that it was all crumbly. When I asked the waiter what I could get besides the French fries, he said "nothing". No where on the menu does it say "No Substitutions". When he brought my meal, a French fry slipped off the basket and onto my lap. I guess he didn't notice because he didn't apologize. I heard a lady in the booth next to us having a problem with her meal. She wanted to get something on her plate replaced but was told he would have to take back the entire meal. He could not replace the same meal as this was the last one they had. She had to order an entirely different item off the menu. This was my second time at Andy's. Another unsatisfactory visit. As referenced by my previous reviews, I've been coming here for a long time: 10 years actually. It has changed hands during that time but the great diner food I've come to love has remained the same. I have to post this review after reading the other recent ones about how bad this place supposedly is. Although they have a sizeable menu, my current obsession is their Penne Vodka Dish. I've had it at a number of places and the only place I found an equal was in a strip mall in Virginia! The sauce is amazing and flavorful; they definitely make it right! I've ordered it 3 different times, many months apart, and it's always awesome! That particular dish also comes with a soup and salad bar so you can score a side salad and some bread. I personally am not a fan of the bread and wish they would add some garlic bread to pair with it! I didn't get our waitress' name this visit but she was good and got us anything we needed. Hit this place for a late night omelette since I was in the area. This place screams basic and average to me. It's just ok. In every sense of the word, it's ok. As Dom DeLuise said in History of the World Part 1 when he played Caesar, "Nice. Not thrilling." I got a gyro omelette. It was sizable enough and filling. It tasted fine. It was maybe a little overdone and the potatoes were fresh but had zero seasoning. The waitress was nice. I had no issue with service. People that have to be gluten-free (intolerance for me not celiac) are aware that not everyone has gluten-free options and we try to amend what we can eat. Andy's have NO options, as I was told by the waiter. When I tried to omit most of the sandwich and sauces, adding only extra lettuce and tomato EVERYTHING WAS AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE. THe soups and bread bar are all gluten and I showed the manager what I could eat a few cucumbers, and tomatoes and lettuce with oil and vinegar since the dressings have gluten. I understand that's MY problem (and the several estimated 7% (20,000,000) Americans with a gluten issue) but perhaps charging $8.95 for a salad bar AND additional charges for lettuce and tomato are gouging and uncalled for... Andy's is a 24 hour diner with an extensive menu that's all surprisingly good. Great breakfasts, great burgers, pretty decent dinner platters. You really can't go wrong. They serve alcoholic beverages, including some cocktails. It's solid brunch spot. And, when you realize that most of the restaurants are closing and you haven't eaten, Andy's is your move. The wait staff are usually pretty good. The one mark against them is that a few times over the years I've seen a guy who I take to be a manager or owner being unnecessarily gruff with customers. On my most recent visit, he barked at a customer for putting her takeout order on the flat wood panel (what I might have called a counter) above the dessert display case while she paid, saying "Take that off! That's not a counter!" I saw something similar at least once before. It's not that big of a deal, but they'd get farther if he phrased things with a "please" in there. The one unnecessarily unfriendly guy aside, this is a 24/7 diner with an extensive menu of beer pretty good food. You don't find many places like that. Pretty, pretty good. read more
