Andy gave me a quote for $1800 to sand 2 holes in my ceiling and an additional $325 to paint, he clearly didn't want to do the job. The next day I contacted a professional contractor who gave me a quote of $300 to sand a paint those exact holes. The job was done in 1 day and my ceiling is perfect. I can't imagine anyone paying that price for sanding and painting such a small area, so I'll chalk it up as he didn't want to work for me so he gave me a price to that made sure I wouldn't call back. read more

Did not compete the requested job. Continually asked for more money. Acted and spoke in unprofessional ways. Owner of the company would not call back after numerous requests. Do not hire. read more

I hired Andy On Call to paint my garage. One of the worst paint jobs I have ever seen. Painted over peeling paint, came back and painted over peeling paint again. Lousy scraping job. Lousy cleanup. To top it off, painter used my plastic bin to clean his dirty paint brushes and dumped the dirty water on my plants. You can use this place to fix your door knob but be aware of painters. I would give this job negative 10 stars if I could. read more

Extremely expensive and tried to rip you off, work is not of quality either and the entire team has sever attitude issues. Stay away from these guys They screwup even simple things and when I called to fix it, the guy was demanding more money . What a mess !! they lack professionalism read more

Once again Andy On Call came to my home. I am pleased to tell you that Nick was my service provider and he completed the job in a timely manner with exact skill. I have been pleased with Andy On Call on several occasions. Their professionalism and eye for detail were exemplary. I highly recommend their services. read more

I overloaded my shelving in my closet and it fell down. I called Andy OnCall and they came out right away and fixed it at a reasonable price. It's nice to know there are still companies that do small jobs read more

I am okay with the other jobs that I requested be done. However, I am disgusted that a job that I thought involved low-level spackling & maybe hole repositioning for a small shelf only involved two screws being tightened but it cost me $75! I feel the worker was unscrupulous and avaricious. He made the same amount on the other jobs so the fact that he wanted an extra $75 that badly is evil. Will not be using this service again. read more

I emailed them about some work to be done and they couldn't give me a straight response through email, they needed to come in for an estimate. They couldn't even tell me if they charge hourly or a flat rate. After I called them it took over a week for them to get back to me. Finally after playing phone tag I was able to get someone out to give me an estimate. The price they offered was way over what I anticipated so I ended up doing the job myself. The job could have been done 2 weeks earlier if they had just responded to my email with some detail. read more

Needed to stuff done. Called a few peeps in and this was the only place that was for real. My one question was will your original quote be what I will be paying, they where like yes it will.. and it was. Sweet thanks Crown Molding looks fresh. read more

DO NOT use this service. I hired Andy OnCall to remount a blind in my bedroom. They damaged the blind and are refusing to pay for a replacement yet they state that they are bonded and insured. Are they really? John, the owner is very rude and has no concept of good customer service. In hindsight, it now does not surprise me that they have not had a positive review since 2015. read more

Called to get an estimate. He scheduled my appointment for a week from the day I called. Prior to the appointment, I received an email reminder and he even sent a postcard to my home in advance of the appointment. The day of the appointment, I had to leave my sons lacrosse game to meet Andy at 11:30 at my home. I waited until 12:30 and he NEVER SHOWED UP. I called him and left a message and he NEVER CALLED BACK. I'm a super busy single mom and was really hoping I could use this service to get much needed things done around my home and I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with this unprofessional and inconsiderate lack of response and will NEVER contact this service again. Nor should you. read more

Had front and back door as well as metal outside cellar door painted April 2016. Cellar door paint is peeling off, but when I contacted AOC I was to,D they only stood behind their work for one year. Very disappointed in response. At the time the work was done thought they were a little expensive, since I had to go out and buy the supplies for the job. Wasn't planning to call them again, and this response cemented that. read more

They installed bifold doors in my sons room and the right side kept falling off. They had to return twice to fix it. It never stayed hanging for more than a week or two. The left side never came off. So... when it fell off the 3rd time. They wanted to charge me $75. Saying that my son must be opening it weird because the frame is bent. I asked if maybe the frame bent from the 3 times the door fell on my son when he tried opening it. He said No. They supposedly have a year warranty on their work, but apparently not. I'm extremely disappointed in the work. I would never use them again and I suggest you think about this before you do. read more

It is refreshing to find a carpenter or handyman that wont walk away from a job because they will not make a boatload of money or the conditions are not optimal. I have personally experienced this with multiple carpenters/handymen and am grateful for a service like Andy OnCall. read more

The owner of this company, John, is the most rude, indifferent, and aloof individual I've ever interacted with. Joe on the other hand who performed the estimate was polite and professional. We had questions regarding the quote, and when I called the first time, John acted like I was a nut, and hung up on me. I called again and got the voice mail and apologized for any confusion since I sounded confused because I didn't know much about construction. The next day John called back and my wife spoke to him and although he was rude to her, again treating her like she was an idiot, we were able to straighten it out and set a date to do the project. (We should have taken the hint at this point). Later on my wife and I had more questions so I left yet another message. The next day John called back around 6:30pm and while I was speaking to him, my wife called me on call waiting on an emergency and I told John that I needed to put him on hold to take the call. When I tried to get him back, he had hung up. So I left yet another message and after 5 days with no answer, I decided to compose an email asking about issues my wife and I had. Sure enough 2 hours later, John called to tell me that he was not going to be able to do the job at all. Didn't explain why nor apologize. I'm amazed that this company can even boast about being in business for 16 years. What a waste of time this company is. Do yourself a favor and don't even bother with these people. read more

Very happy with the work. I called in the morning with a relatively small job. They came out and looked at it around lunch time and finished it that afternoon. We had been waiting on an estimate from a traditional siding company for several days. When it did come back it was about $150 less than Andy, but the personal attention and quick response were more than I got from the siding company. I would use again without hesitation. read more

Had a couple of quick and small straight forward jobs that needed to be done around the house. Outright rude on the phone. "I do not give estimates over the phone" I explained that I am trying to ensure that we are being efficient with both our times and have a smooth business transaction. He heard what needed to be done and rudely said "Like I said, I do not give estimates over the phone" Not sure I would want to trust a person like that. read more

I have been using AndyOncall for about 3 years now. Excellent local service. They have helped me with small projects around house (from tightening gutters to installing tiles in the mudd room). Unlike other handymen I've used in the past, AndyOncall's time management is on point. Definitely recommend. read more

I called Andy OnCall Handyman for a paint job in my living room. They did excellent! Quick and high quality work, but most of all they were kind to me and my family. I will certainly be calling them again for my next project around the house. read more

I called Andy on Call to hang curtains in my plaster walls. I specifically asked what product the handyman was using (as you can not drill into plaster walls and expect the walls to hold curtain rods). He assured me that he had a great tool for hang the curtains. Within the warranty period, one of the curtain rods fell down. Turns out that Andy on Call drilled directly into plaster w/out additional support. When I called to have Andy on Call fix the problem, I found out that my location was out of business and the corporate headquarters would not honor the warranty. All though Andy-on- Call is a national chain, you are not hiring a vetted or backed handyman and there is no recourse for shotty work. read more
