I first saw Dr. Siskind when I started working 5 years ago. During this time, he switched medical groups and I couldn't figure out where he was in at least 2 years. Within the past couple years I located him again and was ecstatic! He is a very experienced doctor who I highly respect. I found Dr. Siskind by researching online reviews, and they were right on target. I have been doctor hopping ever since the beloved Dr. Lazzara passed away two years ago. I finally found a worthy successor in Dr. Siskind. He is very thorough, caring, and professional. He even called me on at least two occasions already to discuss lab results. Dr. Siskind has been practicing for many years, and I like the fact that he has a lot of experience. He seems super sharp and intelligent. He ordered several tests, wrote prescriptions, and made referrals to get me caught up on several things I had put off. He answered all my questions, and asked if I had any more. You might think that there would be a long wait to see such a thorough doctor. But that is not the case. He is very efficient. I was amazed at how much was accomplished in such a short a time. Dr. Siskind has been my family's doctor since 1989. I have followed him around Orange County. He is the best. He is caring and doesn't treat you like you could not understand what he is explaining. I love this guy! No nonsense, good diagnostician who listens to the patient. I'm sorry he's gone to concierge practice this month, and will miss him as my primary care advocate. For Anthony: did you tell them you were a new patient when making your appointment? Those consultations take MUCH longer than a service provided to an existing patient. Their schedule likely couldn't accommodate you since they hadn't planned for you. Yeah, I know, the staff usually gets to know their patients by name and probably would have asked if you were a new patient if your name didn't ring a bell, but perhaps you made your appointment with a newer employee who doesn't know your status. You should always let a practice know if yours will be a first time visit so they can plan for you. read more

Dr. Siskind deserves SIX stars, not five, and gets my very highest recommendation after being the doctor for our family of four for many years. He's an "old school" physician whose true caring is demonstrated in ways you just don't see in younger doctors these days. Example ONE: when he heard my 16 year old son had been scheduled for ACL knee surgery five days in the future, he took a look and, in a very low key manner, said, "I'd like to make a phone call and arrange for a second opinion." Dr. Siskind personally arranged an emergency appointment in Los Angeles with the doctor that takes care of the LA RAMS. That doctor's exact words after the exam were: "I would be the best person in southern California to do this surgery if your son needed it. But he doesn't. There is nothing wrong with his ACL ligment." I don't know how, but Dr. Sisking KNEW that scheduled surgery was fishy. Example TWO: My wife was told by her OB/Gyn that she needed an "urgent" hysterectomy because it looked like she had cancer. The wise Dr. Siskind, again in his low key manner, said if cancer was a possibility then we needed to be seeing a gynecological oncologist, and recruited Hoag's best. That specialist totally defused the urgency, said cancer was highly unlikely, and five weeks were cut from my wife's recovery time when he eventually did the surgery robotically instead of traditionally as the original doctor proposed. Dr. Siskind is thoughtful, thorough, kind, careful and caring and when the chips are down and you really NEED a quality doctor, he'll be there for you like nobody else. read more

Dr. Siskind was assigned to provide care for my Mother while she was in a rehabilitation facility. He only saw her physically one time in 10 weeks, leaving everything the rest of the time to his PA. His office staff is disorganized and almost useless on helping with the simplest of tasks, including getting him to sign important documents like discharge papers.
