I am so happy I saw Dr. Sapthavee. I have had sinus problems for years. I didn't want another tub in my ear. I wanted the problem solved. Dr. Sapthavee reviews my CT scan and noted 3 issues. I was surprized when he told me surgery was an option. He was so right!!! Issues:chronic maxillary sinusitis, deviated nasal septum and maxillary sinus mass. While doing a Pre Op very thorough exan for a nasal surgery, Dr Sapthavee decided to also scope down my throat. He found a pimple like bump on my left tonsil! Did a biopsy and found that had cancer cells in it! He had checked my throat several months before and the tumor wasn't there. He caught this throat cancer VERY early. If he hadn't scoped my throat, I have no idea when I would have found out that I had cancer! In Oct Dr Sapthavee took out that tonsil, had an MRI, a NavDx blood test and a Petscan to check the rest of my body for cancer. All was good. He is still monitoring me and considering further options to make sure I'm cancer free. He AND his Team were wonderful. I had day by day instructions that told me exactly what was going to happen. His consultation was thorough, and I appreciated the time he took to answer each and every one of my questions. My entire adult life I've been unable to breathe through my left nozzle, which in hindsight caused me to snore on a regular basis. My wife finally convinced me to see a doctor, Lucky me! It was doctor Andrew Sapthavee.During our consultation he had two recommendations, rhinoplasty or a new none surgical procedure called Vivaer. I chose Vivaer the non surgical procedure that was covered through my insurance. It's been two months since my procedure and I can't express how happy I am and also my wife. My snoring has been reduced by 90%, there's some nights I don't snore at all. I've been recording myself as I've used different anti snoring devices throughout my adult life trying to find one that works. I think I've tried them all! For me it was the Vivaer procedure that finally cured my snoring. FYI it two about two weeks for complete healing all you need to do is regular saline flushing about twice a day. No big deal! Sent me to a pulmonologist, who was confused as to why I was there for a nasal issue The pulmonologist prescribed a couple nasal sprays, which did the trick. Dr. Sapthavee is the BEST! We have a 19 yr old son with severe autism who has a habit of sticking things down in his ear canal (rocks, etc). I've recently completed a highly successful nasal polyp surgery with Dr. Sap. All 8 of my sinus' had been blocked for decades and after surgery I can finally breath again with ease. I was fortunate enough to have been referred to Dr. Sapthavee by my Scripps Allergist during early 2024. I was sick and tired of Chronic Sinusitis and the inability to breathe through my nose. I developed bronchitis and a sinus infection during the Covid lockdown. vThe sinus infection never resolved. Dr. Sapthevee found that I had an unusual condition requiring extensive surgery. I've had breathing issues most of my adult life. Primary care doctors had always prescribed various medications which helped but never solved the issues completely. In two minutes Dr Sapthavee identified the source of my problems and suggested surgery to correct my septum. No pressure just advised the surgery would make a big difference. He was 100% correct. Due to an ongoing sinus issue, I was suffering from lack of sleep, breathing issues, ear pain and a general feeling of depression. Dr Sapthavee was incredible, he listened too my many symptoms, did an examination of my sinus cavities, and came up with a plan to correct my issues. He followed through with my insurance when I was initially denied one of four procedures and took steps to work with them to understand the need for approval of all procedures to correct my issues. The surgery was scheduled promptly after approval and the results have been nothing short of astounding! I can honestly say that I have never breathed as well as I do now, as an adult (I'm over 60). The surgery itself was handled very professionally by Dr. Sapthavee and his team, I was told there could be some pain post-surgery, however I felt nothing severe that a few Tylenols couldn't handle. My recovery has been quick, and I was feeling better within a few days. Since my surgery, my ear pressure is no longer present, I'm sleeping better than I have for years, and I stop every now and then and take a deep breath and feel wonderful!
