Picked it up and ac was blowing hot. When I dropped it off it was blowing cold. I asked the mechanic to verify it was safe and good to make it home, and he told me yes. Drove an hour and a half to pick up the truck. Truck broke down maybe 50 yards down the road. Mechanic towed it back down to shop. Drove back home. He cut the catalytic converters to unclog them, replaced the AC compressor and condenser. Took it on another drive and it went into limp mode again. Turns out it was a faulty MAF sensor that I originally voiced my concerns about the MAF system being the problem. They've been pretty good with the customer service, my phone calls were answered with little to no waiting time. Truck was in shop for 3 weeks. They kept my furniture that was in the bed safe and dry for me. Pricing was fair. It made it back home, but all the check engine lights came back on, when he told me it only had one catalytic converter code. The truck is driving good though.

My wife's car was checked in by Gary who professionally gathered the problem details Friday morning. The shop called that afternoon with diagnosis and upfront pricing. Later they discovered a motor mount that should be replaced and again called offering options. We will definably be back to this Waveland Gem.

Very bad experience. Did not fully, properly or competently repair an initial problem which caused…read morea failure of the "repair" 3 months later. Returned to have the issue re-addressed; he ignored the major symptom (actual noise coming from the actual part) that we pointed out during discussion which was the same part as initial problem). He instead quoted thousands to replace items (that careful investigation would have shown) had nothing to do with the issue. To make matters worse, the quote had the potential to double, and it would have, because the things he proposed to replace were 100% not the issue. His incompetency would have cost upwards of 8K in the long run bc the repair plan was absolutely WRONG. We went elsewhere for the repair. When we returned to his shop to discuss the failure and findings from CORRECT repair; he was very unprofessional before conversation even started. He walked up saying he was "...already in a bad mood..." before conversation even began. Ultimately, he refunded (only) a portion of the costly repair and told us never to come back! As if we would. Which, ironically, is 100% confirmation that this guy lacks critical thinking skills when it matters most. Because after all the wasted money and additional expense-why would we.

The first mechanic was fine and fair but took only cash. So for the second problem I needed a Certified one approved by Endurance Warranty. I'm having to appeal both REJECTED claims with them; what a pain! But not with JOHN MARTINEZ of Auto Master. By 2:30 the same day he'd diagnosed that the key fob transponder was dead. Replaced them. And after 7 years and 234k miles, it wasn't a surprise. John took care of it and I traveled the 5 hours from home to get my car 2 days later. Super nice guy in a busy shop.
