I paid him as he requested. Wednesday I called and was put on hold for 22 minutes by Caesar. When he picked up. I said hey Caesar where is my engine. He said "Well do you want the good news or the bad news". I said Caesar I want my engine. He said well when we took it out of the truck it was no good. I said why didn't you call me or let me know. Why didn't you try and find me another one from people you know to make me happy. Instead you wait for me to call you and you put me on hold for 22 minutes ? He said well the good news is we are getting a new truck that might work. I also believe in the easter bunny. This organization has poor customer service and I still have not received my refund. This has been my experience.

The problem was that Chevy discontinued that part. Tried every salvage yard in the Tucson/Phoenix area. No luck. Without that part I would have to scrap my van. John at Alameda salvage went out of his way to find the part for me, and shipped it to the repair shop. He saved me. I highly recommend Alameda salvage, for whatever part you need. The people who work there are beyond excellent.

Went there looking for a wheel and found it with the older listings on the website. They give you…read morea list before entering but many of the cars listed are just the same make not model. As mentioned by someone else that the check out lady refuses to speak English is true. They want to charge you more for the old tire so you have to take it off yourself unless you want to pay extra for that. Found a couple of guys to help pull the tire off, gave them money to do so. They have the tools there for that but it's all manual type of stuff. No actual machine. Asked one of the guys if there was ever someone to do tire pulls and he said he probably quit. Anyway the prices are reasonable if you find your part(s) Don't know whats up with the whole core charge thing since they don't want you bringing parts there. They don't answer the phone or emails so if your really far away you might be rolling the dice. Sometimes even though shipping is high ordering parts from a yard it may save you from the boneyard journey. Even if you park further out there will be people trying to park near you and it might make it a pita to leave. Go early if you visit. Obviously it gets hot there and bring some water. There are carts there but brought my own. Would only bring the bare essentials for tools unless you think your really going to need them. Costs 1 dollar to get in main lot. There is another lot for newer cars that is 15, didn't go in there. Well, good luck on your parts quest.

There was absolutely no type of guidance or sense of urgency to help me out to show me the way. They don't know if its my first or 2nd time going I thought they should have a little more ...common sense to ask "is this ur first time here? Or are u good with walking in and looking for what you need". After that first impression I wanted nothing to do there. Didn't even pass the gate I turned right back around and threw the exit door which is a little unfortunate, the reason I came to this specific yard was because they were the only place that had my vechile and I had been waiting for some time for any place to get it. As much as I need those parts I am willing to wait for another yard to get my car and I will take my business there.

I brought my vehicle in several weeks ago because the alternator had failed. The person in the store used not a wrench, but vice grips to loosen the bolts on the battery leads. This interesting choice of tools should have been a precursor of what was to follow. The alternator I ended up ordering was supposed to come in the next Tuesday... or the Tuesday after, the assistant at the register wasn't sure. In the end, it didn't matter, because when I came back two weeks later, they couldn't find the alternator and re-ordered it. Imagine my (lack of) surprise when I came in the following week, only to find that the re-ordered alternator had been once again lost somewhere in the store. At this point I asked for a refund, convinced that Advanced Auto Parts would run out of alternators before they would learn basic organization skills. If you're a comedy writer with writer's block, I can't recommend this store enough. If you're looking for auto solutions, I would recommend a more reliable source of parts, such as a junkyard or a Wendy's dumpster.

All they did was patch repair holes caused by the water damage and still wanted me to pay for the agreed upon repairs. When I objected to the work, they removed their patch repairs and went on to scam the next victim. They were supposed to send a written estimate but after several requests they never did. I called the BBB and was told this company is not a member of any BBB chapter but yet they advertise they are members - I think that says it all about this horrible company.
