The service was excellent both the food and drinks came out very quickly. I had a pizza and it was pretty good.

Margherita pizza

Not bad as far as airport food goes - the lady serving was very nice. A man, on the other hand, came to the table after I finished my meal and was hoping for a refill of tea. He said nothing as he cleared the table, including my glass that'd been empty (luckily the lady came back and offered another tea). The pizza itself was just ok. I did like the flavor of the sauce and crust. It could have used more basil and proper mozzarella, but that didn't detract from the meal too much. Where it missed the mark was the crust felt "doughy" in some areas, which tells me the oven wasn't hot enough. Margherita pizzas should have a soft yet crisp crust. These small changes could make an ok pizza a great one.

My Mr and I were looking for a place to dine in early in the morning before our flight. We stumbled on this place. I wouldn't have mind to have pizza for breakfast but unfortunately they weren't serving it at the time. You seat yourself. It wasn't busy so it was nice and quiet. My Mr ordered the breakfast scramble (scrambled eggs with spinach, mushrooms, bacon, mozzarella cheese with potatoes on the bottom) and I ordered the Tuscan breakfast comes with 2 eggs (I got it scrambled topped with cheddar cheese which was an extra charge), 2 pieces of bacon, 1 sausage, ciabatta bread and new potatoes. We got our meals less than 15 minutes. It hit the spot. The potatoes and eggs were perfect. The bread was also fresh. I tried a bite of my Mr's breakfast and it was really good! I would definitely return and hopefully try other items on the menu.

One small pizza, 2 glasses of wine $65 Pretty pricey and nothing was necessarily phenomenal. As far as the ambiance I mean it's in an airport. Service was quick, sat at the pizza oven!

My lady and I were on a layover in Detroit, feeling pretty hungry, when we passed by this spot and thought it looked pretty good. Glad we stopped for a bite because it really WAS good. Though the spot is known more for pizza, we were there during breakfast time, and their breakfast definitely hit the spot. Our server was very friendly and attentive and greeted us as soon as we sat down. Their breakfast menu is pretty nice and features classic options. My lady opted for the classic Tuscan breakfast and I had a breakfast scramble (bacon, spinach, mushrooms, and mozzarella). We hardly waited long at all before everything was ready and very tasty. If we're ever here again, we'll probably stop by again, hopefully during lunch hours so we can try the pizza.

Chicken Ciabatta Sandwhich

We ordered two chicken ciabatta sandwich and one came without the pesto, onion, and cheese. The other came with the toppings but the chicken was completely raw! Luckily the sandwich comes sliced so we were able to see how raw the chicken was. Also these sandwiches were $20 each (reasonable at an airport I suppose) and they didn't offer to compensate for the raw meat or offer any type of retribution. I wouldn't come here if you can avoid it and if needed, double check your food!

Caesar salad

Pleasant space. Got a Caesar salad which was okay. They did give a lot of shaved Parmesan. No anchovy. The lasagna looked promising as they used bechamel and house made pasta and it was pleasant. Prices are high typical of an airport restaurant. They make a fool old fashioned. Nothing great, nothing bad, just pleasant

Flew to New Jersey Sunday. Flew from New Jersey to Michigan Tuesday night. Was on a plane back to SFO Wednesday night. It was rough. I wasn't able to sleep and had to cope w/ the humidity. So glad to come across this restaurant. I was hungry since I didn't get to eat that day. I follow the Buddhist Lunar calendar and wanted to stick to not eating meat Wednesday/Thursday. I skimmed the menu and found what I could order. My server was a delight. The Caesar Salad was good; fresh! The ravioli was filling and so creamy. That meal lasted me till I got home. My diet soda was refilled. I didn't have to ask for anything. I was skeptical because airport eats are usually abysmal, but I had a good time and would definitely stop by next time I fly back from DTW.

Ravioli could have used more sauce.

You're in the airport, it's a lawless place, and food is always going to be more expensive because you're basically trapped. DTW....honestly the Subway in terminal A is the restaurant to beat. A 6:30 am Turkey sub still has me dreaming about that subway...but the Subway wasn't near where I was. It seems this section between gates 30 and 20 just has some dismal dining options. So I decided to just suck it up and do some Italian in the airport because why not? You get there and you can seat yourself. The menu is not extensive but okay. I was torn between the pizza and the ravioli. I chose the ravioli and I have to say it was pretty good. They do claim to make their own noodles. My server really didn't have much to do with me. Maybe because I didn't order a drink?? My service was super mediocre. This place does not offer complimentary bread. They have a bread basket for purchase. I had to ask for it. That could have been an easy upsell. The rolls were pretty good they were crusty and a little dry. They have been doused in olive oil a little bit of cracked pepper, and I think cornmeal. They were messy and the butter was rock hard, not spreadable at all. You get four rolls for $7.50 ish... They offer two desserts...cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake or tuxedo cake probably the same cake that you can find at Olive Garden. The server just slapped my check down and okay...guess I'm not having dessert... She didn't ask me if I wanted any. That's money out of your pocket...and the restaurants bottom line. I bought candy next door.

Guiseppe pizza
Aric B.

It's airport food, no need to have super high expectations. We ordered the Guiseppe pizza and it was more crust than pizza. There was barely any sausage and the sauce was barely there as well. The fettuccine was ok but the sauce has a taste I couldn't quite place that just made it taste off. I also dislike having to scan a QR code for a menu. The service was nice and quick on the refills at least.

Needed a quick bite between flights. Pasta tasted like microwave pasta. But hey, at least I didn't have diarrhea afterwards.

They have full bar, craft beer on tap and a large food selection. Also, the food is very good here. Service is very good. No need to wait to order, you can order with a QR code from anywhere you sit. I do recommend the bar if you are flying solo. Ambiance is great for an airport establishment. Not like your typical Chilis or Ruby Tuesday, gives you more of the microbrewery vibe. Even if you don't drink alcohol, you get good food with water, not a problem. Do give them a try!

Our flight was delayed 3-4 hours on a football Sunday, so we posted up at Jolly Pumpkin Tap House…read moreto watch the games and grab some lunch and it ended up being a great choice. I started with a Bloody Mary, which was perfect and not overly spicy but still had that classic Bloody Mary flavor. I also tried a few of their local beers on tap, all from their brewery, and they were phenomenal. We kept it simple with apps and ordered the truffle fries (really good) and the boneless chicken bites, which were also solid and came in a huge portion. Exactly what you want while hanging out at the airport. For an airport spot, this place honestly feels like a bar you'd find outside the airport. Massive TVs, easy to watch the games, and a legit sports-bar vibe. Ordering was a little confusing at first, but the server was super helpful and made it easy. If you've got time to kill at DTW and want good food, good drinks, and sports on TV, this is a great place to post up.

I've been wanting to check out one of the "old"/"other" Detroit airport breweries for a long time…read more LEMME TELL YOU. I occasionally fly through here mainly because spirit/frontier (the cheap flights) are situated in this terminal. It's the long forgotten and original Detroit terminal that was replaced in the 90s with a shiny new one. One exception is they have two neat brewery locations situated here and every time I've flown in I either had to meet my dad or brother immediately or was way too hung over to enjoy any kind of experience. When I went home the weekend before thanksgiving for an early thanksgiving I unfortunately had to wait 4 whopping hours for my sister's flight to land because no one is going to make two trips to the airport when it's an hour drive. No one. Anyway, back story aside, I've had Atwater before and have always enjoyed the beers I've had from them. Namely I was seeking out their Neapolitan Stout. And behold the gods parted the clouds and they had it on tap. The only way to describe it is if you took a carton of neapolitan ice cream and a milk stout and combined the two things together. You get the strawberry, you get the vanilla, and you get the cocoa all in one mouthful experience. It's heaven. I was also famished and future self wouldn't know it but no one had dinner waiting for us so I thankfully ordered a side of french fries. The fries were a decent sized order for being only $5 and crispy and very thick cut potatoey fries. Real excellent. I requested a side of mayo or aioli and that kind of tasted funky but eh. It was probably miracle whip now that I'm thinking about it. There was also a dude doing live music at the bar. Now that's something you don't see every day. But he had everything: guitar, flute, I think a sax, and drums. Like he was his own band and pretty good! Definitely a spot worth checking out at the airport and for being a luxury craft beer it was only about $10 (which is basically what I'd be paying in NYC if not more at a normal bar these days).

I came here to grab dinner before my flight, and immediately liked the vibe. I've never eaten at an…read moreairport restaurant with live music before. And, at first glance, the food looked good (like, when I looked around at everyone's tables and what the servers were carrying). I ordered a chicken ceasar salad, a side of fries, and a Diet Coke. The salad was pretty dry all around - it needed more dressing, and the chicken was overdone, unseasoned, and very dry. It was hard to eat. The fries were great. The Diet Coke was definitely in need of a syrup switch as the flavor was a little off. The service was just okay. My server got my food my food to me pretty quick, but the drink took a weirdly long time to come out for a fountain soda. She also brought me an entire bottle of ketchup for my fries, but nothing to put it on. The fries come out in a small skillet and they're very full, so there's no room to push them to the side and put the ketchup on the skillet dish. And I obviously wasn't going to put it in the same bowl as my ceasar salad. It's a small thing, but it was annoying. Also, the bartender was so rude to some of the waitstaff, which was pretty uncomfortable (I was sitting at the table closest to the bar, facing the bar, so I could see the interactions). I haven't sampled all of the DTW restaurants, but this one was okay for a quick bite if you're craving bar food.
