We only found out because a friend of ours saw our vehicle on a tow truck bed and our friend called us. The lady at stans who i spoke to assumed that the vehicle was totaled and gave the permission to have the vehicle released to the auction company without notifiying us or having us sign. We still had personal property in the vehicle and not given notice to come clean out the car. We had not even received the police report or a call from insurance yet! First and last time using Stans! I had calipers and brake lines services on my truck here (the AC was working perfect), as soon as they gave me my truck back, the AC no longer worked. My husband checked the Blower motor, the resistor, the fuses, and the digital controls. They were all fine. When he went to check the compressor under the hood, he saw that the wire had been cut with wire cutters. The ground wire for my hood lightbulb had also been cut on purpose and electrical tape wrapped around the end. Who does that??? A piss poor over-priced mechanic who wants to guarantee you'll bring your vehicle back for even more repairs! I'm scared to wonder if he installed my calipers correctly or not now!
