Extremely knowledgeable!! He was able to pinpoint my prius door lock problem because he knew *just* what to check for. Highly recommend!!

Just called & they don't duplicate keys they "just do repairs" all the info here says they can do keys. Disappointed

These guys are life savers! Called them one day when I broke a key in the lock and they quickly responded to my request. I'm very glad yelp lead me to this company. You pay manhattan price & expect its expensive but worth it! Very friendly and prompt with their work, and most importantly kept collateral cost to a minimum-I was too thrilled. I was in my house and bed before I knew it. Highly recommended! read more

Spoke to Anderson LS after contacting a few other vendors. They were much quicker in getting to the apartment than others in the area. Was quoted $120 for a locked bedroom door opening which is pretty standard. There was also an after-hours service fee, so be sure to verify the price. Contractor brought the tools necessary, but thought that we may have to drill the lock. After reviewing several options, we were able to come up with a solution. We used an inflatable door wedge and successfully opened it with a pry bar with little to no damage to the jam and door. It was done in less than 15 minutes. Be sure to try a few options before drilling, you may be suprised with the results. This locksmith is capable, and has good customer service. read more

This is definitely a case of "do your homework". These 5 star reviews from people with just a few reviews...likely not real or coerced. Since I wrote this review, the "owner" who identifies himself on Yelp as Steve A. and on the phone as Mark and in a personal review of me (obviously negative) as Jason L. has repeatedly called me at work to try to "convince" me to change my review. He has stopped contacting me now and I took some time to cool off and consider whether to include this update and felt it was important enough to post. After the first time he called, I did consider giving him 1 star back (as I mentioned in my original review) but given he kept me on the phone for 30 minutes begging me, trying to offer me free services, or "anything" I was really put off. I straight up told Steve/Mark/Jason that if he wanted to refute my statements, he's more than welcome to write a public comment to my review multiple times but I'm sure that would require him to identify himself as the owner and he's just confused as to which identity to use. Now, I am solidly giving him a 1 star and a BIG warning to anyone thinking of using him. I'm sure he was a nice guy at some point and I really wish him the best of luck but, dude, pick your battles. You can't win 'em all. In fact, your strategy will likely make someone take the nuclear option. Maybe instead of harassing people in their place of work, you should just work on training for your employees/representatives. Good thing you're a locksmith and not a general. read more

These guys are extremely professional. I got locked out of my apartment at 1 am the night before a huge presentation at work. After speaking with Slava over the phone and texting him a picture of my lock, he was at my door within the hour. The pricing was fair and prospective fee schedule was laid out ahead of time. He was extremely skilled and was able to open my apt door without damage to the lock. Clearly the company is not out to take advantage by price gouging people in dire situations. These guys come highly recommended! I hope to never be in a situation like that again, but if I find myself locked out after a night out at the bars, these guys will be on speed dial. read more

After moving into my new apartment i decided to change out the old locks. i called and spoke to Steve. soon after emailing a photo of my lock i got a flat price over the phone which was a fair price. Steve showed up right on schedule and was a pleasure to work with. Great levels of service and Steve, very friendly and professional. i could not be happier with the services. He also took the time to oil all the locks and hinges after installing the new lock, which required a new cylinder+3 new keys. Given the amazing service and pricing, i would definitely recommend this locksmith! Also flexible and convenient schedule. read more

Very happy with my experience. I went to Anderson locksmith based on the reviews and was not disappointed. My house locks seemed to be on their way out and were difficult. Whatever the locksmith did to fix them because the old locks are working a lot better. Steve took the time to explain exactly what the problem was and the repairs were needed. They also checked the doors hinges and that was loose and needs future repairs. I would not hesitate to use this locksmith again and highly recommend. read more

So easy! And. $50 cheaper than two other places I called. I worked with Arthur- young, cute guy who texted me his arrival time, was professional and the locked was fixed before I could walk my dog. Anderson Locksmith Co - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - New York, New York

While I might not have enjoyed the experience of being locked out and forced to change locks, the guys at Anderson Locksmith were consummate professionals even at 11PM (and on.) Having spent 30 minutes just trying to get the thing open (we ended up having to drill it,) I had a new, matching-color lock before I went to bed. Heck, Doug and Ivan, after having had to stop and pick up a different cylinder, had the new high-security lock on within minutes. Great guys and great service; while you hopefully won't have to use them in the context of being locked out, they do superb work. 10/10 recommend. read more

Steve is great!!! Since I moved to Manhattan 3months ago, Anderson locksmith has been my go to for keys to my apartment and office. Finding the right guy for the job can be such a headache but soon as I called I knew I made the right choice. My first experience was with a broken key in my lock, I read some on Yelp and called Anderson locksmith. Steve responded in 15 minutes because he happened to be in the area and had fixed it in less than 30. Since then I have used him for key copies and a Medeco cylinder at my office. He gave me a free estimate with a photo message I sent. I couldn't have asked for a better service from the locksmith, a stand up guy always professional with customer service! read more

For the past few months my door has struggled to stay shut. This morning, it finally just gave up on me. Or so I thought. After calling my super and rifling through to get the door aligned still got no results. After coming up empty handed, I found Steve on Yelp and he was on his way. He came by in 30 minutes and was really helpful and responsible. He got the door frame aligned to shut properly again after adding few long screws. He replaced the door knobs that were damaged from months of force. Good prices, fast, honest, and nice. read more

Dave was very professional and very knowledgeable. We needed two locks changed to be key pad entries. We purchased the wrong equipment not once but twice, and Dave was incredibly patient helping us. After two visits on the same day with the wrong locks, he made time the next day in between appointments to come and install them. He also made sure that we used a good brand as he had explained that he gets more calls for the cheaper brand malfunctioning and locking people out. He was quick, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. Would recommend him to anyone in need of a good, honest locksmith. read more

We needed to locks replaced right after losing the keys to our place.  I called Anderson locksmith because of its Yelp! Reviews and I'm glad I did. I called at 2am and there was no answer. However, about 30seconds later Erik returned my call. Erik gave me a quote for replacing two new locks with keys. He told me that the technician is on his way and would call and text me 5-10 minutes before arrival and he was right. Thank you Anderson for the excellent service and work you provided. read more

I called and received outstanding and professional response and was told that Who would call me when they arrive. The original quote over the phone was to install a deadbolt but when the locksmith arrived he explained to me that my lockset was in good condition and changed out the cylinder instead. Happy with the whole situation because it saved me on the bigger expense. Hopefully won't need a locksmith again but if I do these guys came through for me. Thanks again! read more

Anderson Locksmith is really easy to work with. I had to get a fresh deadbolt installed and was able to get advice on what kind of get, and easily made an appointment. Eric gave me a courtesy call an hour before getting to the apartment, and was on time. The install took about 15 minutes, and Eric provided some unsolicited aesthetic advice which I appreciated - he even made some adjustments to the already installed mortise doorknob to make sure it matched up to my new deadbolt.
