Anderson Insurance is an utter TRAIN WRECK of a company. We pay our policy on time every month, and every month (before the payment is due) we get a cancelation notice. Every month I call to confirm we're current and they say, "Oops it crossed int he mail." The one time we actually miss a payment on accident, and they don't do anything! No notices (even if they did send one I probably would have ignored it, after 1 year of following up on each one for nothing). Then our next bill comes due, we pay it on time, they credit it to the last month's past due amount, and now we're past due again for the current month. Now we have a letter from the Secretary of State saying our license will be suspended b/c we don't have auto insurance. Now we're jumping through all of these hoops - we have basically one week to do what takes 2 weeks... all because Anderson Insurance is a paperwork nightmare. This ALL could have been avoided had Anderson just picked up the phone and notified us of the non-payment. Just yesterday I'm on the phone with Anderson, they conference AIG, the underwriter, and the two ladies are arguing back and forth over who is supposed to do what. Seriously?! I'm in serious trouble here and you both are arguing over whose doing what? I just got of the phone with State Farm - we're switching immediately. Anderson Insurance is an absolute train wreck as far as paperwork is concerned. Save yourself the hassle and go with State Farm from the get-go!!!! read more

Well, folks....... These guys have been my insurance brokers for two and a half years. What started out as a mutually beneficial arrangement. (I pay for insurance, I get insurance) Now has deteriorated to complete hell. For the last six months or so I have had ever so much trouble with these people. My account several months ago was double charged one month for my insurance (which I caught due to online banking) This month, on my son's acct they canceled my sons insurance for non payment (what! She says,,,,,checking her online account and seeing that s funny....the money was taken OUT of my DAMN acct)....Then when calling and explaining to their "office manager" who "claims" she will get to the bottom of it, AFTER I fax her my checking acct statement. I dutifully (for I am a good american) fax it to her. DOES SHE F** call me? NO I have to call her back to find out what the F** is going on. I have had my insurance car & rental through this company for years and have never had an issue. Yes, sometimes notices cross in the mail - it happens. The only thing I would change or like to see work properly is the website payment portal. That would be so much more convenient than having to call, buy stamps or having to stop in. read more

I assume you are responding to my review from 6 months ago. You probably can't find a record of us because your agent (Alicia J) spelled our name wrong on the quote (using a "N"). My references to reviews about not paying underwriters and responsiveness came right of Google. We never moved forward with you so I can't personally speak to the payment issue but my wife and I absolutely experienced undeliverable emails (in-boxes full, etc.) over 4 days of trying to send requested info as well as lots of confusion / conflicting answers from your staff over the course of two weeks (when we finally gave up). It took a lot of our time to finally learn from your staff that you are (apparently) financing premium payments. We had no interest in that model and a straight forward explanation up front would have been appreciated and could have saved time for all involved. Where to start...well it could be that they're in the 19th century. You pay with a payment book they send you. ACH? No. Autopay? Nope. Then there's the $120+ "audit" fee they charge for inspection. You pay that yearly but they never schedule an inspection. Not a fun experience. read more

Have hung up on me when I was just trying to pay my bill! What the heck? 1 year of every payment on time or early no pay outs nothing! I ask once for an extension of 5 days and they cancel me! I call and they yell at me on the phone. My mother also had them and she got into an accident that wasn't her fault what so ever. Got rear ended and the guy fled. She had to fight with them just to get her car fixed. Had to come out of pocket $900 for it to be fixed right and not at some ran down shop. First off, I want to mention my auto insurance is on auto pay from my bank for my peace of mind. After receiving what I thought was letters of confirmation of payment for the last two months I finally opened the letters. Letters were notice of cancellation! I was shocked since I confirmed with my bank payment was sent. I called into the office to find out why I was receiving these letters. I was assisted by a woman who said she would look into it and call me back. After about two hours, I received a call back saying she couldn't locate the payment. I proceeded to give her the check number, date and the insurance account number that was clearly written on the check. She then followed by asking "Is the checking account in your name?" as if who paid the payment was relevant. I informed her the checking account was a joint checking account for myself and my wife. I said the name on the check is my wife's name. She responded "OH!". At this point I was already frustrated so when she was shocked by my response I nearly lost it! (YES I am a woman and YES I am married to a woman!) She then questioned if I had the account number written on the check...this woman is OBVIOUSLY incompetent! I repeated that yes the insurance account number was on the check! She stated she would reach out to the person who entered my payment to apply the payment using the account number versus my name. GENIUS huh? I have a common name and therefore how in the world would they know where to apply payment based on my name?!?!?! Two hours later I received an email stating my policy would be cancelled and I would need to pay cancellation reinstatement fee and late fee! I am done!!!!! Not only are they NOT LGBT friendly but they are also DOOR KNOBS! I will be cancelling and taking my business elsewhere!!! read more

Poor quality company. When you cancel they try to tell you refund will take two to three weeks.Takes months, or if you,get it at all, to send out pollicy provision booklet that outlines coverage that is required by law! read more

On Nov 21, 2016 I sent an email stating I wanted to get a quote. I quickly received a reply back and scheduled a phone call for later that day. I contacted Lis and we spent about 45 minutes going over all my policies and the insurance that I would like priced. And that's where the customer service ended. I never heard another word. I have emailed and left voice mail messages several times with no response. As irritating as this is, I am glad that I found out about the horrible service this company gives BEFORE it was more than just an inconvenience. read more
