The following Tuesday, I get a call from a technician saying he's on his way to my house -- completely out of the blue. Loyal scheduled the appointment without ever contacting me or getting my approval. Then, two days later, I receive a $100 bill for "dispatch and arrival of technician"... for an appointment I never scheduled, a faucet that had already been fixed by someone else, and a tech I only spoke to on the phone. How does that make any sense? To make matters worse, no one will answer the phone so I can ask why I was charged or tell them I won't be paying for a service I never agreed to. The lack of communication and the unauthorized scheduling is absolutely ridiculous.

Mike came out, called that he was on his way and arrived on time. He showed up promptly, took his time to install the unit accurately and was very thorough. Even after finding out he needed an additional piece to complete the project, he came back within two days to get it done-which is rare to get this type of response and service. The project was reasonably priced, about 40% less than what we were originally quoted by another contractor several months earlier and professionally completed. We strongly recommend their services and the contractor, Lee.

Saved me having to stay another night at the campground. Still had to pay a late fee, but saved me a bunch of money. Call him.

We couldn't get the parts for the fridge, but he showed what was needed and what to do so we can do it next week while at another location. He'll be the one we call if he's in our area next time. Couldn't be better.

From my husband's review today -…read more Horrible experience--I was lied to and nearly scammed. I called this company for a simple outdoor spigot replacement. The repair itself went fine, but when the plumber (Brian) finished, he claimed he checked my water pressure, declared my Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) was "broken," and said it needed an immediate, costly replacement. Because my home is new construction, I told him I would contact my builder instead. He left. Suspicious, I bought a pressure gauge to test it myself. The gauge read a dangerous 100 PSI (high enough to ruin appliances and blow out plumbing gaskets). When I looked at the PRV hardware, I discovered Brian had intentionally screwed the adjustment bolt all the way in clockwise as far as it could go. I backed the bolt out counterclockwise myself. The pressure immediately dropped to a safe, steady 60 PSI and has stayed there for hours. The PRV is perfectly healthy and functions flawlessly. The Mechanical Facts: When a PRV bolt is screwed all the way in clockwise, it fully compresses the internal spring and forces the valve wide open. This mechanically overrides the regulator, letting the full, uncontrolled city main pressure (100 PSI in my neighborhood) flood into the home. Brian did this to intentionally force a high-pressure reading and claim the unit was dead. When he was "going in and out" pretending to make adjustments that did nothing, he was putting on a show. When I called the owner, Billy, to ask why his plumber would bottom out the bolt on a high-pressure system, he completely gaslit me. Billy claimed that a PRV can never let pressure rise above 75 PSI even if screwed all the way in, and that if it does, it's broken. This is objectively false. Anyone with a basic understanding of plumbing physics knows that tightening the bolt increases pressure. Instead of taking accountability for an incredibly unethical upsell tactic (or massive incompetence) by his technician, Billy was rude, dismissive, and hung up on me. Do not trust these guys. They will intentionally manipulate your plumbing hardware to manufacture a fake emergency and scare you into a major repair. There are much better, more honest options in town.

They troubleshot that motor blower was bad, after new one installed furnace still wouldn't work, our heat pump needed replaced, they said we could use the electric coils on emergency mode to run furnace until heat pump was ordered. We had to insist they check out heat coils before they left to make sure we had heat. they checked we didn't. they left without us having any heat. We called another business who found a couple of limit switches were bad and they replaced them so we could have heat without using emergency mode until new heat pump arrived. So yes that new blower motor did keep us from freezing after another company had to replace 2 limit switches but now we have $450 blower motor that doesn't work with new heat pump system. dissatisfied with lack of experience in troubleshooting. After talking this over with them they gave us a small discount but didn't accept they had done anything wrong cause the blower motor was bad. We won't be calling Action Mechanical again.
