The side salad with the burrito was simple iceberg lettuce and some onions, so the lowest form of salad, it cost extra for sour cream, and the enchilada would've been way too dry without the sauce that was simply too bland. We stopped by Andele Kitchen for a bite to eat. Andele Kitchen is located in Canby, OR. The decorations are very nice inside. This would be a great spot for photos during a birthday dinner. Our seating was also very comfortable at the booth we got sat at. While the food looked amazing - Unfortunately the food was not good. The carnitas were very dry and somehow the rice I got tasted different from the rice my husband had. The prices are high, expect to pay over $20 for any meal except the kids meal which is $7. This is a fairly new establishment that has taken over what used to be Wayward Sandwiches in downtown Canby. My husband and I went during lunch time on a weekday. Then interior was nice with plush blue seating. The back wall was painted with Frida Kahlo at its center. We were 1 of 3 tables. The server seated us right away, provided us a pitcher of water with complimentary chips and three different types of dip, which were not explained to us. The dark red one had chipotle undertones. The red one seemed like a standard blended medium salsa. And the green one was some sort of avocado crema. It was decent. My husband got a standard steak burrito that had very little meat and was pretty bland. His side salad had no dressing. My barbacoa chimichanga on the other hand was pretty juicy and tasty. Only caveat was that I asked for notice rice and beans but it came with them anyways. Lastly, one of my favorite things in the world are plantains. When I saw it was in their dessert menu I had to try it. This was executed well. They were panfried and caramelized, nice and crispy on the outside, soft and sweet on the inside. They came with a two sauces, a chocolate and a lime one, reminiscent of the key lime hard candies you get at Mexican restaurants. I would say they shine in their own without any sauce accompanying. The server didn't really check in on until it was time for our check. Overall, it is hard to justify wanting to return. There is no other Mexican cuisine like this in town but there are certainly other similar options such as Chipotle, El Chilito, Nuevo Vallarta, etc. The prices are higher at about $20-30 per entree. And the vibe is pretty upscale, which I'm not sure is something most people in our town are regularly interested in. read more

Brought my big eating foodie friends to try out this new spot knowing we'd order dozens of items. Interior space has a newer trendier vibe which was nice for Canby. Drinks were large and a decent value. After trying 10 food items, when I return I'd likely get the chorizo queso, chili relleno, and deep fried ice cream. The seting is nice - the service was good - the prices were high - but all that would be ignored if the Chili Relleno was edible! A big chili stuffed with gobs of cheese and the coating was almost non existant. OH - the tortillas were good. The chili relleno is my go to Mexican dish - and this one rated about 2 out of ten. Other diners enjoyed their dishes, so maybe it was just me - but will I go back??? not even if someone else paid - better ways to spend a couple hours! read more

This is our second time trying Andele. The food was okay, but unfortunately the service was terrible. My wine arrived with pieces of the cork in it and it took about 15 minutes to get. Our first waitress didn't speak enough English to take our order, so we had to wait for someone else. There was only one other table in the restaurant, yet service was still very slow. Wow this was quite surprise for a foody. First off everything we had was made from fresh ingredients. The guacamole was some of the best I have had and I am a seasoned Southern traveler. The flank steak was lights out along with marinated shrimp. The taquitos were hand made and the little touches like the pickled onions and fresh salsas were perfect. The stood portions will not leave you hungry. I'm excited to see this pop up in Canby and is the new heavy weight champion of good food in Canby. read more

It's an ok restaurant, nothing really special. They are trying to be a fancy 5 stars restaurant in the middle of farmer town downtown. I ordered Carne Asada and Chipotle Spicy Chicken pasta Alfredo, food came out just ok. My pasta was too sweet. I don't like that they automatically set the tip minimum 20%, I want to have a freedom setting how much tips I want to give at the end of my service. Tonight was my first time visiting this little Mexican restaurant in downtown Canby. It was absolutely delicious. Pretty much everything on the menu is $20. Everything tasted like it was made from scratch. I had the enchiladas and the pork and the chicken were solid. The sauces were crave worthy.. I liked how there was a little bit of salad on each plate. The chips and salsa were also good. When we left, we were full, not really enough to take leftovers, but definitely not that bloated feeling you get from other Mexican restaurants. As a matter fact, I cannot think of a better Mexican restaurant in this county. We will definitely be regulars. Welcome! read more

Great new addition to Canby! Food is flavorful and fresh. The drinks were nice, the margaritas were strong. This is my second visit and it has been great both times. The staff is kind and attentive. We had a larger party tonight, and everything went without a hitch. The decor is trendy and modern, and is beautiful inside. Looking forward to eating on the patio in the summer. So try to go to this place, and it was a complete waste of time, even though it said they were open on the Internet and also on the sign in their front window, this place was closed locked up tight not an employee in sight. This was not late night. This was middle of the day five or 6 o'clock right at dinner time middle of the week when they're supposed to be open, I live out in the country and I drove some distance to get here. This is a big letdown when restaurants can't properly identify the hours that they'll be open. Nothing more pisses me off than wasting my time trying to go to a decent restaurant just to find out it was a bunch of bullshit and I still went away hungry with no dinner however I did try another little Mexican restaurant and canby over by cut worth market and it was wonderful so I'm glad this place was closed. Probably would've been more expensive bad food and a waste of my time and I probably won't give them a second chance because of their bullshit. read more

Yum, we love it. Something new in Canby! We went when they first opened and it took forever, but we went back last weekend and everything was up to speed on a Saturday eve. I had the most delicious lamb shank, really tasty. The ambiance is nice, colorful without being cheesy, and we liked the vibe. Our friend is celiac and he was able to find a good assortment. I took a couple of weeks to actually write this review. This was our first and unfortunately last time coming here. 3 out of 4 dishes were brought to us raw. Both the fish and shrimp were still frozen when served to us, we returned one and it was still the same. After speaking to a manager we also returned the shrimp considering that it was also undercooked. We did get our money back from one undercooked plate. At the end of the day this should have NOT happened. They informed us that, this was due to rush hour and having a new staff, but this is still unacceptable from an establishment. read more
