NEW FAVE *mic drop, money instantly flutters out of my wallet*
& Other Stories is a shop brought to you by the masterminds behind 3 pound leggings and ripped crop-tops that pair perfectly with TV marathon watching (yep, I'm talkin' H&M)...
Though owned by H&M, & Other Stories is a "luxury brand" and the store on Regent Street is like fancy-pants boutique department store. Sunglasses, jewelry, beautiful scarves, shoes and accessories. Things clustered by "concept" and "theme" (downside: sometimes hard to locate). Stretched over two airy floors I'm really drawn to a lot of the designs which are consistent with many of the H&M/COS styles: drapey tops, shirt dresses, tunics, easy sharp-but-comfortable work-wear. I really like their dresses and knitwear, with sweaters knocking you back somewhere in the 40 - 60GBP range. They've also got nice lingerie and soft-knit tights.
Unlike H&M, &Other Stories carries things from other solid brands, like Dr. Bronner certified fair-trade soap, Less Is More shampoo, VANS and a specially curated selection of cool-print Nikes. I'm trying to up my makeup game, and they have some great basic user-friendly products like 12 GBP cheek-and-lip tint and 5 GBP nail polish with a rainbow of colours to choose from.
Yep; I like it here. A LOT.
Yelp note: BONUS! Whereas I used to find the H&M site (and even the COS site) clunky, the & Other Stories site is slick and well-curated. Give it a peek: www.stories.com read more
