The apprentice is supervised by a senior piercer, in my case the shop owner, and it was a great experience. We went slow and had an easy paced consultation making sure the placement was just right and would also meet the kind of jewelry I wanted. They were happy to change and mark placement multiple times until I was satisfied and the owner was happy. All in, I paid $90 for both piercings including jewelry plus a tip. They are also make sure to go over aftercare prior to and after getting pierced to make sure you are aware of how involved the healing and care process will be.

Fraidy Cats came HIGHLY recommended by a friend who has been going to the owner Jamie for a decade now. I have 15+ piercings so this is not new territory for me. The same friend called the studio in the morning to check in with Jamie. Two of us wanted two new piercings, not one, and she said one appointment slot per person would be ok. We also let her know we had our own jewelry and she said it would have to be processed. She instructed us to book three back to back appointments with the same piercer online so we did just that and reserved an hour and a half time between the three of us (4pm-5:30pm). We arrived on time (3:58pm to be exact) and Jamie told us that she "messed up" the schedule and needed to help someone else first, but the staff came over to take care of us so it was fine. Our group of three proceeded to complete paperwork and a very lengthy after-care presentation. We were just following the staff's instructions so we figured we were still on schedule. Jamie joined us and called us by they/them pronouns by default which seemed thoughtful. She asked where we bought our jewelry from since it needs to be high quality. She went back and forth between the lobby where we were and her office on the other side of the wall to google the names of the studios where we said we bought the jewelry. Not sure if that's the best way to verify jewelry quality but ok. This was when things went south. Jamie said there was now only enough time for one of us to get pierced with jewelry that we brought and that there was no longer time for two of us to get two piercings each and that we would have to come back a different day. So we let my other friend who was visiting from out of state have that slot. I asked Jamie to process my jewelry alongside my friend's jewelry because I had a feeling there would be enough time for me. She reluctantly agreed and guess what? There was enough time -- my piercing was completed at 5:22pm. The piercer who did my tragus was kind, professional and personable. Unfortunately things didn't go as planned. Immediately after putting in the jewelry, she told me that it was slightly off and asked me to check the mirror. I calmly said that I didn't like it and asked that we remove it. She said ok but had to notify Jamie first. Jamie stormed in and was completely on the defense, saying things like, "This is a great piercing" and "It looks great to ME." I stayed quiet nearly the entire time. I struggle with social anxiety and standing up for myself, so the last thing I wanted to do was defend myself and start crying. All I was able to say was, "This isn't the placement I agreed to and I want it removed." Jamie removed the jewelry from my ear and explained to the piercer how it was at the wrong angle, while still not validating my decision to have it removed or apologizing for her piercer's lack of proper training. She also didn't do anything to stop the blood from pooling inside my ear and then raised her voice at me when I tried sitting up to prevent blood from going down my ear canal. The piercer tried helping me and Jamie started barking at her asking if there was blood on her floors (there wasn't). Thankfully Jamie left the room shortly after. When we left, Jamie didn't come out to ask how I was doing or say goodbye to my friend who, again, has been going to her for years and consistently refers people to her studio. I went back shortly after we left to ask for my deposit to be refunded since no one had mentioned it at any point. A staff member went to Jamie's office to ask and said that Jamie would take care of it within a few days. At this point it was clear that Jamie had no intention of seeing us out or following up on my experience. Again, this review has absolutely nothing to do with my botched piercing. These things happen. The problem is the way I was treated by Jamie. She had more respect for my pronouns than my well-being. Also I received my refund AFTER this review was posted on Google.

I had an hour slot booked where I wanted to do a couple smaller memorial tattoos in memory of my mother who passed from ovarian cancer. The nice thing is, I had changed my mind a bit since showing the initial proof to Zion Tattoo when I initially booked. Travis was totally fine with it and adjusted to my wants. I also appreciated how he added his input on my ideas to ensure they looked good upon completion. I was there for about 45 minutes, everything was fast and inclusive. It was an amazing experience in a clean and comfortable environment and I appreciated how Travis kept checking in with me to make sure I was doing alright and was just very personable. He takes pride in his work and I'd definitely recommend Travis at Zion as an artist and one who especially pays attention to detail - even the smaller detail tattoos - and I will definitely be returning again for more!

She let us in, and was not wearing a mask...not cool. Then, when my niece shared with her where she wanted her tattoo placed, Jessie had a complete personality change. She instantly got an attitude and tried really hard to talk my niece out of what she wanted. What she didn't understand was that this piece was symbolic for a mental health struggle and was something that was very important to my niece. Jessie made this statement, "no, that's going to look retarded." She said, " I'm not going to tattoo a stupid tattoo on you, and that'll be stupid." At that point my niece was in the verge of tears and I ended it and said we are declining any tattoo from you and will go elsewhere. I've been tattooed by many fine artists in the twin cities and have never been treated like that or had an artist insult the ideas or you personally. I would take your good money elsewhere. It appears that when she doesn't care for your tattoo, she treats you poorly.

The front staff helped explain the aftercare and guided me through picking my stud. They had a LOT of jewelry to choose from. Since I knew id have to keep this initial piercing in my nose for nearly a year, I opted for something simple. I would definitely go back later to get one of their more unique pieces of jewelry, though. My piercer, Kalei, was professional and friendly. She made sure to explain the piercing process and in no time I had my nose pierced! It's been about 6 weeks and my nose appears to be healing great I will come back to Electric Strawberry when I'm ready to swap it out for a new piece. The one negative was even with an appointment, the wait time was a little long as they appeared to have a lot of walk-ins. But I also understand that some piercings/appointments might take longer than expected.

It was incredibly easy to book an appointment, and their website was really helpful - I got to read about each piercer, look at jewelry options, and got a lot of piercing FAQ. The day of my appointment, I walked in and immediately knew I chose the right place. The shop is clean and unique, and I immediately felt my butterflies ease up. The front desk staff member that checked me in was incredibly helpful, going over the paperwork and helping me pick jewelry. I'd arrived a little bit early but only waited a few minutes before Jo took me back. She explained the process and then it was time to get pierced. Although piercing pain is a bit different than tattoo pain, Jo was quick and efficient. I'm incredibly happy with my entire experience and would highly recommend Electric Strawberry for anyone in the market for a piercing.

He would play his loud music the entire time without even asking if it was to loud or if I would prefer something else. when I would ask him questions about the tattoo he would stay mute until I would have to ask the same question again only to receive a irritated response. employees were in and out of the room throughout the day to borrow supplies or needing Jesse's approval for some business related problem as Jesse is part owner of the shop. Jesses attitude problem and uncomfortable atmosphere continued throughout the entire 7 hour appointment and into the next appointment. upon completion of the sub par tattoo Jesse did not offer much advice for aftercare explaining it would all be in a Email that never came.Jesse's work does NOT match his top of the line price and very poor customer service. I would highly suggest a different shop. There are plenty of great Shops in the area of higher quality and better prices.
