I had an hour slot booked where I wanted to do a couple smaller memorial tattoos in memory of my mother who passed from ovarian cancer. The nice thing is, I had changed my mind a bit since showing the initial proof to Zion Tattoo when I initially booked. Travis was totally fine with it and adjusted to my wants. I also appreciated how he added his input on my ideas to ensure they looked good upon completion. I was there for about 45 minutes, everything was fast and inclusive. It was an amazing experience in a clean and comfortable environment and I appreciated how Travis kept checking in with me to make sure I was doing alright and was just very personable. He takes pride in his work and I'd definitely recommend Travis at Zion as an artist and one who especially pays attention to detail - even the smaller detail tattoos - and I will definitely be returning again for more!

The front staff helped explain the aftercare and guided me through picking my stud. They had a LOT of jewelry to choose from. Since I knew id have to keep this initial piercing in my nose for nearly a year, I opted for something simple. I would definitely go back later to get one of their more unique pieces of jewelry, though. My piercer, Kalei, was professional and friendly. She made sure to explain the piercing process and in no time I had my nose pierced! It's been about 6 weeks and my nose appears to be healing great I will come back to Electric Strawberry when I'm ready to swap it out for a new piece. The one negative was even with an appointment, the wait time was a little long as they appeared to have a lot of walk-ins. I've been hemming and hawing at the idea of getting doubles done on my earlobes (I know, I'm such a…read morewimp) for a while now, and got recommended this place from a coworker who got her cartilage done here. Since my last and only experience getting anything pierced was from Claire's in the 2000s, I really didn't know what to expect other than 1. Don't use guns and 2. Piercing shops probably know better than the teenagers at Claire's. Booking an appointment for a piercing was super easy, and I was able to get one with Katie. I decided to purchase the jewelry there, although I didn't ask if you could bring your own, but I figured if I was gonna be stuck with this in my ears for a while, I should choose something with a more comfortable backing than the pieces I already had. The jewelry is a little on the pricy side, but the fact that it was implant grade titanium as the backing + 14k gold as the ball made me feel assured it was not going to cause any irritation since I had to leave it in. Katie was awesome - she walked me through what the piercing process would entail, the dos and do nots of a new piercing, and aftercare before we even got started. She marked up where the placement would be after examining where it probably look best based on my ear shape, and encouraged me to change it if I wanted to do as "there are no rules to this". The process itself was a lot less stressful than I made it out to be in my head, and I left feeling great about my decision.

Basically, over the night my gem stone ended up in my ear between the holes. Go figure. I contact Anchor's End Tattoo in Hudson. Told them about the issue. They let me know the piercer in Hudson was not in and to look into the River Falls or Stillwater shop. I opted for River Falls. I made the appointment and explained the weird issue. I went in at my appointed time and the piercer was all ready for me. Sorry, really bad with names. I told her what happened. Thankful she had experience with this kind of thing. I also told her if she couldn't fix it, I would head over to "urgent care". She was a complete delight. So nice and kind. She looked at it and was able to get the gem out of there and replaced my earrings with a larger crystal and a longer stem to account for the swelling I was experiencing. Honestly, I cannot say enough nice things about her. This was my 2nd experience there and honestly both were just as wonderful. I really appreciated her getting me in to get this resolved. Thank you so much.
