A hidden gem in HB, Anatolia serves us delicious Mediterranean cuisine, with each dish being made to order, with extremely fantastic flavors. I had a craving for Greek styled food, and my brother in law recommended me this place. Service was quick and easy, and they made some great recommendations. This place breaks the star rating scale.... Truly deserves 10 stars at least! Not only is this THE MOST AUTHENTIC Turkish food I've ever had in the US, but the chefs cut no corners in preparing it in the hand made from scratch ways it's meant to be! I been on a binge for middle eastern/Mediterranean food and I'm so glad part of my journey has brought me here, to a quaint and homey restaurant serving some dishes I continue to discover today. Not pictured but on one of my visits I got the couplet kebab, which the tomato sauce and thick yogurt paired together super insanely well. On the next visit, my friend and I got the kebab platter with the shakshuka mezze, which was honestly the MVP we put that sauce on damn near everything. Outstanding! This hidden gem is absolutely incredible!! The food here was so a key delicious. We tried everything. Everything is made fresh in house and you can taste it! We had the lentil soup, Greek salad, the lavash, fries, pite bread, cig kofte (a personal favorite!) chicken shish, steak shish, the bulgar, and the rice, and the Anatolia mezze When I tell you. That I would drive from las. Vegas to have this at least once a month. That's no joke. It was incredible! The special Anatolia mezze is a must!!!!! Best bread ever..... We were in the mood for Mediterranean and landed on this spot semi close to the house. Out the gate when the hummus and pastirma came out, we were blown away. We drove all the way from MV to this place because of their rating for breakfast! I was Very disappointed by the whole experience. We ordered the breakfast tray, an omelet, a cheese tray since there was barely any in their breakfast tray. Then waited for bread to come but apparently the bread was a separate order. The main dish that we were interested to order was also not available since you had to order it a day in advance. The service was terrible and I had to go in and ask for bread since they brought the food without any bread. The ambiance is just very casual but they had an outdoor sitting which we used. We were excited to eat here based on reviews. These are the facts. We ordered the sea bass. Way over cooked and filled with bones. You can see it in the pic as we could not eat a good portion of it. The pizza looking item had so many bell peppers on it the taste was way over powered by the bell peppers. The shrimp tempura was the best item. Service was terrible. We had to ask many times for plates, silverware and our check. I also ordered a black tea that never came. A huge argument broke out between the staff and a customer at a table behind me where the staff kept asking the customers to leave. All in all it was a very poor experience. I have no idea how the reviews are so good when our experience was so bad. read more

Came here last night for dinner. Space is small and it seems like you are seated outdoors even though there's a roof over our head. We ordered: 1) special Anatolia mezze $28 - 5 different appetizers to share, includes hummus and others. I'm liking how Turkish cuisine is the newer thing in the food scene. There are more Turkish restaurants popping up in Orange County and I'm definitely a fan. After reading the recent reviews and viewing the pictures, my wife and I decided to try Anatolia for the first time the other night for dinner. We were the only ones there for a while and the dining area is outside in a semi closed area. The menu is easy to navigate and there are plenty of pictures on the menu to help make your choice easier. The all male staff are nice but communicating with the first server was a little challenging because their English was spotty. I need to learn to speak a little Turkish. We started with the Lamacun appetizer. We never had it before, but it was excellent. Sorry, no pics of this one. I ordered the Beef Lulah Adan entree and my wife ordered the grilled salmon entree. The portions are generous and the fresh herbs, onions, and spices make their dishes sing. We finished the evening with their home made Baklava and I washed it down with their Turkish tea. I love Turkish tea. We are so glad it's fairly close to our home and look forward to returning and trying their breakfast. read more

We ordered the Anatolia Mixed Kebab Special and it was phenomenal--perfectly grilled lamb, tender beef, and juicy chicken with incredible flavor. The charred vegetables, fresh onions, and warm bread tied everything together beautifully. You can tell everything is cooked with care and authentic Turkish technique. I'll start off by saying that the food was really good here. We got their lahmajun (this was my first time having this so nothing to compare it to but I thought it was really good- it came with veggie sides to put in and everything was really fresh. My Turkish friend I came with said it's one of the best she's ever had), lamb chops (cooked to perfection but a bit bland, had to add salt), beef kabobs (my picky son gave it a thumbs up and he loved the rice it came with). However service was abysmal. We all came here extremely tired and hungry. While the lahmajun came out quickly, the lamb chops and kabob did not come out for a very long time. After everyone finished their lamajun and the other two waiting for their main entrees still hadn't received their food, I had to go up and ask about it. First they looked confused and then said they would check on it. They came out many minutes later and said it was because their kitchen was backed up and it would take another 10/15 minutes and gave us the option of canceling the order since everyone else was done with their food. To me it was evident that they had forgotten about the food, not that the kitchen was backed up- their restaurant did not have that many customers to be backed up and other customers who came after us getting their meat entrees way before, and also the confusion when I asked and then giving me the option to cancel since that prob meant they hadn't even started on it all points to that fact. I appreciate honesty in customer service, this did not feel honest. The two who had ordered their food were unfortunately starving so we decided to just wait for the food. They apologized but no other compensation for making two people wait for everyone else to finish dinner to start theirs. Really unpleasant experience for our party. They do charge for water and pita. The main seating area is also outside. There is no indoor seating. Luckily temperature was nice when we went but not sure how this would be in the winter or hot summer. read more

The place is fairly small but spacious, and looks very clean. the layout and theme feels like you're in Istanbul, Turkey. We were welcomed as soon as we walked inside, brought menus, and offered tea, on the house. Servers checked in periodically to make sure we were okay and if we needed anything. The first thing we got was the rice pudding. sooooooo goooood. I don't really have anything to compare the rice pudding as it's my first time trying Turkish rice pudding, but I will say it was amazing. 5+++++ Stars. I've lived in Southern Turkey. This was authentic delicious high quality food!! We began with babaganush appetizer which was homemade. Real chunks of eggplant and a wonderful Smokey taste served alongside fresh authentic Turkish pide bread. We ordered the family meat combo with lamb, steak, chicken and Adana kabob served with salad, bulgur rice pilaf, salad and bread. Huge portions!!! We had the cheese pide and beef pide. The flavors were fantastic. Again - they are big! We finished the meal with Kunefe and Turkish cay - black tea. The kunefe was the best I have ever had in the US. Preorder because it takes a while - they make fresh. Fresh pistachios sprinkled on top. I would have liked a tad more syrup but in the end, our table was fighting over the last few bites. We are certainly coming back for their Turkish breakfast! The table next to us ordered that and it looked amazing. We ate our food too quickly and I forgot to take photos. This ultra casual outdoor patio place with paver napkin dispensers has ultra high white tablecloth prices. Not sure where the entrance was so we walked through some dirt and entered a strange gate. The menu they gave me was completely destroyed with pages ripped out and prices changes with ink pens. We were the only people there so I'm not sure why they couldn't have found us an intact menu. $11 Greek salad had been changed to $16 by scribbling a tiny circle at the bottom of the one. So tacky. Ultra high prices for what you get. $7 for one lamajune which tasted OK. The other dish was a little sloppy. Not a good look when you are trying to attract new customers. Not going back. read more

We came here for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Right away they bring out complimentary bread with a dip--warm, puffy, and absolutely addictive. For starters we tried the Albanian liver and a sujuk pide. Both were excellent, full of flavor, and cooked just right. For mains, we shared the Beyti and the four-person combination platter, which came loaded with different meats and chicken. The ingredients were fresh, the salad crisp and flavorful, and the overall quality of the food stood out. The restaurant itself is small, maybe 30 seats inside, and it feels almost like sitting on a covered patio--so bring a jacket, it can get chilly. Service was friendly and quick, and the prices are very fair for the amount and quality of food you're getting. We ended the meal with Turkish tea and kunefe, which was a perfect finish. I've been to many Mediterranean restaurants in California, but this one is truly on another level. I've tried their lahmacun (Turkish flatbread with minced meat), Adana kebab, meatballs, and even shakshuka -- every single dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Most recently I had their meatballs, and they were outstanding: juicy, well-seasoned, and served fresh off the grill. You can really taste the quality and care they put into their food.
