menu - solid selection of included wine and drinks! Wish I'd had a little longer there to try more of them!

Well... I'm super sad this will have been the last trip in which I got to use a Priority Pass for the indefinite future, as Chase seriously nerfed the value proposition of the Sapphire Reserve. This review is predicated, of course, on having a Priority Pass, as it most likely wouldn't be worth paying to get in, unless you drank a *lot*. Definitely worth stopping at if you have a Priority Pass, though, if they let you in. The sandwiches were just ok (fine for free, but nothing impressive, just basic sandwiches. Entirely adequate, though), and the pastries were even worse (don't bother with the pastries). But they have a solid lineup of complimentary local wine and liqueurs from around Portugal, including a couple ports, a Madeira(!), a ginja, Beirao... I was sad we weren't here for a very long time, and that it still mid-morning, so I didn't have a chance to try a *bunch* of wine, but I snuck in a couple port tastings anyway, and finally got to try a Beirao tonic (a very good idea!) The bar is bartended, not self-serve, but they had super quick turnaround on drink orders. And there was plenty of seating.

The class ticket you're traveling on and previous airport lounge experience heavily factors into the rating here. It is average in size, below average food offerings, above average views of the planes, runways, and gates. There were private "rest" rooms and silent pods, which come in handy depending on needs and waiting time. If you're traveling business or first class, this is probably a step down from what you're used to. Otherwise, it checks most of the boxes you're expecting in an airport lounge not linked directly to an airline.

Nice place to get away from the general area. The seats/chairs are definitely better than the general area. It's a bit darker/less lighting in some areas. So nice for catching a nap. The food is ok... mostly sandwiches and pastries. They don't have a lot of variety or setup for a grab and go. They do have a couple of sodas and beers to grab and go. You can always through the snacks in a napkin... I guess. The service is pretty good at keeping the place clean. The gentlemen at the front check in were very nice.

This lounge is limited in food options with sandwiches and pastel de natas. Limited fresh juices. Decent alcohol selection I loved the amount of sleeping spaces here. They also have pods, about six. So they pretty good to lie down

The lounge is ok. Food is what one would expect for when you're on board the plane (economy) and nothing spectacular. No hot food. Joyce, beer and wine are available but nothing much beyond that and a little barista station. Places to sit are hard to come by. On the plus side, there's a large tv with soccer and the business news on. Views of the jets are pleasant and the room isn't too sunny. The bathrooms are clean but not spacious, and not every seat has an outlet. Food has lines, the entrance has lines, and it's fairly loud once you get in. Tip: ask for the pastries behind the counter at the barista station.

Our last chance for some typical sweet and savory Portuguese treats. There was likely more substantial offerings later in the day, but there were soups, salads, snacks and sandwiches for everyone, including vegan hummus, eggplant, red pepper on Portuguese malt bread and tuna for fish eaters. The coffee was great and they had milk choices, including plant based. I don't drink, but the bartenders looked busy. There's often a line to get in and it can be crowded. Servers were busy, but kept items well stocked. It was clean. Some of the furniture was a little wobbly, especially the tables. WIFI was fast and reliable. It was definitely the bright spot on a stormy day of delayed and canceled flights.

This was the only lounge available on Priority Pass and it was a pretty far walk to our gate. Luckily, we made it to the airport with a little bit of extra time so we ended up spending about 15-20 minutes at the lounge. It was enough to use the bathroom, grab a coffee and some small bites to eat for breakfast. For a Saturday at 8:30 AM, they already had a pretty good selection of food, which I really appreciated. They had a variety of sandwiches, ham, cheese, and even pastel de natas! Definitely one of the better lounges I've been to in Europe. It was nice and spacious too. The 6 of us didn't have any trouble finding a spot together. Though I'm sure it gets packed in the summertime (we went in December) because the app had a note that it may be closed during "peak hours". I'm just sad we didn't have time to hang out there longer to relax before our flight.

Wonderful airport lounge to rest at in Lisbon…read more Tejo Lounge is nestled away from the bustle of Lisbon Airport an escalator ride up from the full capacity seating before the boarding gates. This is TAP Air Portugal's flagship lounge in the Schengen area for domestic and EU flights. It was perfect for a layover before our Porto flight. The lounge is bright and spacious with plenty of seating and two areas to grab drinks, one in the buffet area and another on the other side with bar service as well as espresso machines. The buffet food options were plentiful and changed throughout the day. There are also yogurts, fruits, soft drinks and meat platters for a quick fill-up. In the morning layover, we enjoyed milky scrambled egg, local ham and sausage along with decent pastel da nata as our first local try of the famous Portuguese egg custard pastry. Before a subsequent return flight, the lunch option included pasta, caldo verde soup, sliced chorizo, traditional chickpea stew and a variety of fried items including the cod fritters. It was a nice variety even if I wished the fritters were warm. Many of the table seats have charging outlets for convenient recharge and the lounge includes its own wifi login for better speeds. There are even 6 shower rooms to freshen up from your last flight. The lounge was kept quite clean and there were a huge set of staff working the back kitchen as well as polite staff who restocked the buffet. A key advice if you are catching a non-Schengen international flight, the display boards inside the lounge prompt to leave 2 h ahead of departure. This is because Passport Controls especially with kids can be stuck in the long lineups. Tejo lounge is after security but before passports to get to the non-Schengen gates, and your safer bet may be TAP's Atlantico lounge instead in that area. Skip it or hit it? Tejo is definitely a lounge worth visiting if you have premium TAP airport access.

The food is so-so; two bartenders are great, as is the entire staff, and I got to try two reds. It has a shower. It is the first venue immediately after Passport Controls from the domestic zone. This is TAP Air Portugal's lounge for international flights and is smaller in size compared to their Tejo flagship lounge. It is accessible for Star Alliance premium passengers. The lounge is smaller and typically quieter but I found it quite busy in the afternoon period with many passengers packed in with loose jackets in preparation for flights to colder climates. There is only one self-serve area with a small variety of hot foods, along with pastries, and drinks. Food variety included caldo verde soup, sliced chorizo, salad and pastel da nata plus other pastries for a Portuguese touch. Among the limited table seating, there was a partitioned section for small groups to recharge. There were no shower rooms in this lounge, and only one of each drink station for espresso, fountain drinks, juice and minibar. If you have a domestic connecting flight, the front desk here will refer you past Passport Controls to Tejo lounge instead, saving you from delays. Skip it or hit it? Atlantico can get crammed in peak hours so TAP's flagship Tejo lounge was our better option in the same Lisbon airport.

Upon entering the terminal, there was nobody from the airline to answer questions or direct passengers where to go ... so I just followed the herd and after a long meandering walk we ended up in the luggage/ground transportation area (no idea if we were supposed to pass through customs). My return flight wasn't much better. First, I highly recommend using FastTrack to get past the security line, but there is no shortcut around the hour to 3-hour immigration line. Of course, the airline called us to board our flight via zone numbers, but then we just boarded buses anyway so it was a free for all once the buses got to the plane and we hiked up the boarding stairs (I guess I should be thankful that the weather was decent). It just seemed like a rinky-dink way of running an international airport, but I guess if you are traveling through Lisbon you don't have much choice.

Lisbon Airport - Humberto Delgado Airport) - Heads Up on Security, VAT & Food Options…read more If you're flying out of Lisbon, give yourself extra time--this airport layout can be a bit misleading. After you go through the initial security checkpoint, you'll immediately see duty-free and it feels like you've reached the gates. Not quite. There is another checkpoint you must pass through before accessing the actual departure gates. A few key things to know: * Duty-free is NOT the final step -- don't get too comfortable thinking you're done. * You'll need to go through a second screening/checkpoint before reaching your gate area. * VAT/customs validation happens after that second checkpoint, not before. * Very limited food options after the second checkpoint -- so if you want a proper meal, grab it before you go through. This setup can definitely catch travelers off guard, especially if you're tight on time or planning to process VAT refunds. Pro tip: Eat first, then plan enough time to clear both checkpoints and handle VAT. It's not a straight shot from security to gate like in many other airports. Overall, a clean and efficient airport--but the flow isn't intuitive, so a little awareness goes a long way.
