The food is so-so; two bartenders are great, as is the entire staff, and I got to try two reds. It has a shower. On my way to wash my hands, I found a quiet spot near the bathrooms: a seat and a wall--super calm. A lounge for those heading back across the Atlantic. Atlantico Lounge is located in the non-Schengen international zone within Lisbon Airport. It is the first venue immediately after Passport Controls from the domestic zone. This is TAP Air Portugal's lounge for international flights and is smaller in size compared to their Tejo flagship lounge. It is accessible for Star Alliance premium passengers. The lounge is smaller and typically quieter but I found it quite busy in the afternoon period with many passengers packed in with loose jackets in preparation for flights to colder climates. There is only one self-serve area with a small variety of hot foods, along with pastries, and drinks. Food variety included caldo verde soup, sliced chorizo, salad and pastel da nata plus other pastries for a Portuguese touch. Among the limited table seating, there was a partitioned section for small groups to recharge. There were no shower rooms in this lounge, and only one of each drink station for espresso, fountain drinks, juice and minibar. If you have a domestic connecting flight, the front desk here will refer you past Passport Controls to Tejo lounge instead, saving you from delays. Skip it or hit it? Atlantico can get crammed in peak hours so TAP's flagship Tejo lounge was our better option in the same Lisbon airport. read more

It's a very small lounge with limited sitting area. There's some tables and a couple of circular sofas but it was packed with people when we went on a Sunday morning. It took us some time to find a table. Space was also tight. As for food, they have an area with bread and cheese and a separate area for salads and hot food items such as Portuguese pork and potatoes, marinara pasta and veggie curry. The pork tasted good but meat was dry. The marinara sauce was watery and tasteless and the curry was also not very good. Overall, the food was below average as compared to other lounges, space is tight and uncomfortable, there were also minimal staff working so you need to find someone yourself to get tables cleaned. This lounge is not equipped and prepared for so many passengers. read more

This review is for the lounge for domestic/European travel. This lounge is smaller than the ANA lounge next door but has a larger selection of food (and slightly better food in my opinion). They had freshly made Pasteles de Nata which were actually really good and on par with the ones we had eaten on the streets of Lisbon. I was also pleasantly surprised that they had baby food pouches for travelers with children, which I thought was a very nice and thoughtful gesture. read more

This is one of two Tap/Star Alliance Lounges. We checked into the one for Europe travel and saw that it was bigger than this one which is for outside of Europe travel. This one was smaller and somewhat cozy. At around noon on a Wednesday, it was quiet. A bit of a contrast to the other one which was jumping. A mix of seating with ample outlets for charging. Restrooms were clean. A few salad choices and mix of sandwiches and Continental Breakfast items. They had Pastel de Nata which was a nice touch. Paired nicely with my Cafe Com Lette. Help yourself Bar had a nice selection of Wines, Ports, Liquor and Sagres on tap. Friendly staff was attentive and kept the space clean. If traveling outside of Europe, this one is better. read more

Yikes. One of the worst airport lounges I've been to, and I've spent a lot of time in lounges. They really need to limit entry once they're at capacity - it was impossible to find somewhere to sit, and there was even a man sleeping on the couch seating taking up about 4 peoples' worth of seats. The food is super limited - I was there for breakfast and it was basic scrambled eggs, bread, and deli meat. There's a bar with bartenders, which is nice, but limited selection. Also the Wi-Fi is absolutely terrible. The staff is quite nice, I will give it that. Otherwise, avoid unless you are coming at off hours, and still - yikes. read more

We got to the airport early in the morning about 930am and the lounge was crowded but no line. They had some decent food with cakes and pastries. Boiled eggs and yogurt and such. Coffee machines on both ends of the lounge. Seating was comfortable but shortly after we got there it had gotten really crowded and by the time we left at 11am there was a line. Folks at the front desk were nice and there was one cleaning person and probably should have had two. We went to the smaller lounge after and it was full but were able to get a small table pretty quickly. The food was the same but less of it. So it was decent but due to the turn over they really needed another attendant. read more

The lounge is shut down for renovation which would be a good thing, however TAP failed to make any accommodation for its guests. No arrangement with ANA Lounge next door, no alternatives, just sorry we're closed, please move on. Star Alliance (including @UnitedAirlines) should be embarrassed of its lack of preparation as travelers are beginning to return in numbers. Currently airfares are excessively high, and this kind of issue creates a little resentment from travelers who are willing to pay the premium. More money for less service seems to be the standard for airlines these days. read more

I don't remember ever posting it one star review for a premium lounge anywhere in the world, so it saddens me to do so now. I fell in love with Portugal and everything about it, so I was excited to check out the TAP premium lounge in Lisbon. This lounge was shockingly terrible. To begin with there was very poor seating arrangements which is surprising because this is the main lounge in Lisbon. There were so few places to sit but it was much more comfortable to be outside the lounge. I wish I took a picture of the restroom, because I have never, ever, seen a restroom this horrific in a premium lounge. It looked like the bathroom at a bus stop in the worst city in the world. The food offerings were adequate, fairly standard for lounge, so I don't have much to say about that. My other complaint is about the staff at the front desk. I was unlucky enough to be traveling on a day with terrible weather, which caused diversions and a lot of irregular operations. I desperately needed help to reroute my itinerary. When I inquired at the desk they told me I had to go back down to the lobby to talk to the agents there. As though that was an easy feat, running back down to the lobby and going through security again was a nightmare. I am a frequent traveler and therefore didn't complain, I just did it. When I finally got an agent in the lobby who took care of my situation she asked why they hadn't called from the lounge because that's what they should've done. I told her that I had specifically inquired about their ability to call from the lounge and was told a flat out NO! I wasn't as mad until I found out that that is their standard practice and once again I was just unlucky enough to have a poor representative at the front desk who really didn't care. All I can say is that TAP executives Need to revisit their training guidelines for the airport staff and lounges. read more

First impression: when you walk in you will notice how tiny this lounge is. More than likely it is crowded and you can barely find a spot to sit. I ended up sitting at the bar which I didn't complain. The selection of food was minimal when I arrived around 1 pm on a Saturday. Some cured meats cheese veggies and bites. Nothing quite substantial for the amount you pay for the lounge. Most positive thing about this lounge is its bar. The bartenders are attentive and will refill your drinks if you want and they also make great drinks as well. Overall, it's too crowded. Maybe save your money if you don't have a long layover. read more

3.5 stars. If you're a Star Alliance Gold member, you get access to this lounge! Yay! The ladies who checked us in were really nice. Just show your boarding pass and card and you're good to go. The lounge is large and offers hot and cold breakfast and lunch items. Upon arriving in the morning from NYC, we were pretty hungry and jet lagged. This lounge was a savior as our flight to Nice was delayed. I helped myself to some food, tea, and water. I also freshened up in the bathrooms. They do have shower stalls if you're really dirty. The cushions on the chairs were a little dirty and stained, hence the lack of a 1/2 star. Not a huge deal, but cleaning them up would brighten up the place. Free WiFi and TVs monitoring your flights or watching the Grand Prix are a plus. Happy to come back here if I fly Tap again! read more

At the time of this review, 2/3 prior reviews are for the TAP Premium Lounge, not TAP Airlines. I messaged Yelp to clarify in the title, but nothing's been done. So, for my purposes, this review is for the TAP Premium Lounge in the Lisbon Airport. This was my first time flying with TAP, and it was enjoyable. As for the aesthetic of the airline, from lounge, to crew uniforms, to food, TAP is pretty chic for air travel. We've visited various airline lounges, and TAP's was pretty darn good, for our purposes. As shown in my photos, you need to climb an escalator to access the lounge. Then, down a Star Trek hall, and in you go. The lounge is nightclubby-chic, and I noted the use of Portuguese cork on the pod chairs, which was a neat patriotic touch. Another nod to Portuguese culture, they had NATAS (pasteis de nata) at the buffet, which was awesome! And they were flakey, good natas, too! It was a great way to make me less-sad about leaving beautiful Portugal. The rest of the food had beautiful presentation and attention to detail. For airline food, it was quite tasty too. Also, they have a ton of personal-sized water bottles to take with you, which is so appreciated (Lufthansa's lounge did not offer this). Coming directly from our hotel at 5am, we had no use for showers or beds, which I did not see. And since we were on vacation, it was unnecessary to get any work done here. So I can't review for those other functions. Not all lounges have a display screen for flight information anymore, but the TAP lounge did. This was very helpful! We relaxed in the lounge and then enjoyed priority boarding at the gate. A great first experience flying Business Class on TAP. **Just a note on the crew's uniforms, probably the best I've seen. Did anyone ever fly Debonair (yes, it was real)? If so, you've seen the clowniest uniforms in the sky; TAP's were the opposite. Striped sweaters, made to look preppy-nautical, in bold national colors (red, green, white, and tipped with navy), then mint green felted wool fitted coats with navy piping. The bar is still open during COVID. Staffs work very well to keep the whole lounge safe and clean. Way much better than Newark Liberty airport, which only serve lays chips and oreo. read more

Lounge really sucks. I fly all over the world, so I get to see a lot of business class lounges. There is very little food offered Their coffee sucks, stale and has been in the machines it tastes like for weeks. Scrambled eggs were fake and runny. Massive counter space for lots of options, but nothing served. There was one small tray of runny eggs, no options like Polaris or any modern business class lounge. The spinach quiche was decent and flaky. By the way you can't bring good coffee into the lounge, so eat if you need a free meal then go get your coffee at Starbucks below. read more

Fantastic lounge! Why? Aside from the room, free space, wireless internet, and so on, it was WHAT I was able to do and save myself from doing. Wireless printing from my mobile. Done. Fantastic lady at the desk [Lilliana...or was it Lilian...] was accommodating as much as she can since I did not have my mobile passes with United since I flew TAP Portugal from Sevilla to Lisboa. Meaning, I would need to exit the terminal, re-check in, go through security, then to finally enjoy myself at the lounge where I first started. Went onto the free Wi-Fi, was able to check-in, but bam. No mobile passes. Had to print because the email was specific stating "not optimized for mobile passes, must be printed, blah blah blah..." Lilliana, then swoops in stating they have computers upstairs, but I could also print from my mobile device! Took me a moment, but I figured out the desired document [PDF worked for me] had to be emailed. Printed out, and now, no need to run around the airport.
