The best wine bar I think I've ever been to. Extensive, well described wine list, and you can pour your own wines (if you want) from a wine machine along the back wall. It's unusually well lit and the tables are surrounded by plush chairs. The staff is helpful and attentive, and have good recommendations. You can get tasting pours of many, many wines for under 2€, which is a lot of fun if you're a wine enthusiast. They have a whole page of port, Madeira, and moscatel, which we loved. Overall a fantastic experience.

This restaurant was amazing. The food was some of the best I have had. The croquettes were fabulous. Our waiter recommended a white wine that was out of is world. A must go to place when in Lisbon.

Love the fact that you can try dozens of wines-sommelier rack! The steak tartar was delicious and strongly recommend the steak and fish dishes. Love love the place!!!

Had the most wonderful birthday dinner here. Tasted close to a dozen wines with the great suggestions from Alnardo and Fernando. Intimate restaurant with food which is innovative but not at the expense of good authentic local tastes. Some of the new gastronomy chefs create art pieces which are beautiful and unique but not great food. This is the opposite. There were four accompaniments to the bread, including a Parmesan foam and a carbonara. All four were delicious and the textures added to the enjoyment of the flavors. Everything was fantastic but the pata negra ham with melón and the sea bass were standouts. The first was serves with a red salt we loved but couldn't identify-it was a ham flavored salt. The three salts on the table included black lava salt. The price was quite reasonable-each of us tasting several wines, plus a couple full glasses, appetizer and entree was under 65 Euro per person. In addition to the amazing food and huge variety of wine by the taste or glass, we enjoyed the assistance of Sandro, who was especially attentive and friendly. I can't wait to return.

Not bad! Wonderful service with very good sommeliers. Food was not as strong but has potential. Maybe difference in definition of wellness?

We started with oysters--fresh, briny, and a clean way to kick things off. What stood out next was the cheese selection arriving early in the meal. Not the usual order, but it set a rich, indulgent tone right away and actually worked within the flow of the experience. The grilled bluefin tuna with razor clam rice was excellent. The tuna had the texture of a tender steak--meaty, structured, and satisfying--while the rice added a subtle ocean depth without overpowering the dish. The highlight, though, was the tagliolini with truffles. Bold, deeply flavourful, and unapologetically rich. This is the kind of dish that anchors the entire meal--easily the standout. Dessert rounded things out nicely. The space is stunning--grand, dramatic, and anchored by that iconic suspended dinosaur skeleton. It's upscale but energetic, with a crowd that feels like it came to enjoy the night, not just the food. Service was polished and professional. The team knows the menu well, offers guidance when needed, and maintains that balance between attentive and unobtrusive. And then there's the detail you don't expect: a DJ in the bathroom. It sounds gimmicky, but somehow it fits perfectly with the overall concept. This is a place that leans into the experience--and commits to it. Overall, JNcQUOI Avenida delivers on both food and atmosphere. It's high-end, a little over the top in the best way, and the kind of place you go when you want dinner to feel like an event.

Dining at JNcQUOI is an experience I highly recommend! Signature cocktails will start the adventure and the food menu will challenge you as you choose from a broad array of fresh seafood and more. Complete your meal with a dessert that will top off a truly unique dining experience! Good luck choosing one, I went on my birthday and they surprised my wife and I with a special dessert...so I got to taste three different ones. If you're staying in Lisbon's city center it's an easy walk, otherwise shuttle yourself there to enjoy a memorable moment filled with great food and service!

After walking around the castle on a warm day, we actually felt more a beer than wine, but we wanted to try this place so we headed in anyway. The owners, actually from Brazil, are very nice. They gave us a menu, then came back in a short while to see what we wanted. They generously gave us a few to sample and even brought out a few bottles that were not on the list, and one was a new bottle! Price of wine is not cheap, our glasses each cost €10 each, a pretty steep price in Portugal where a full bottle often cost less. However, considering the expertise and service, the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, this is a lovely place to rest up a bit after visiting the castle.

If all you want to do is drink Portuguese wine and eat some Portuguese snacks, and you have a large tourist wallet, this is your place. It is pleasant, and you'll see a better variety of wines from the whole country here than in most wine bars. But if you are hoping to rub shoulders with locals, look elsewhere. The waiters are all well versed in Portuguese wines. Service is slow, but that seems to be the norm in Lisbon.

It is a wine bar - though not with a huge menu or a million wine choices - but what really surprised us were the amazing meat/cheese plates. Both wines and meats are local, and the guys who work there will be happy to tell you more. If you are a little on a hungry side, I recommend getting their sandwich rather than the board, just because the bread they use is simply divine. Each sandwich is made to order with their beautiful pork meat (they call it ham, but we would call it prosciutto). The meat comes from the display in the window ( a bunch of hanging pig legs) and go through one leg a day during busy summer time. The inside of the shop is very intimate and small, so take advantage of their terrace and come after the sun is down. They play soft jazz and take a good care of you - you won't regret it, I promise!

Most other places serve a glass of wine for €3.5. The guy at the counter was great.
