Oh! This was a good find! Steve and I weren't even planning on stopping by here or even knew of…read moreit's existence while trying to meet up with a friend. After we got done with our visit we had just enough time to duck in here and check it out. There are lots of spices and some that are not easy to find so Steve stocked up on some for meals at home. There is also a wide variety of balsamic vinegars with a wide range of flavors. You can get a spoon and taste different ones which is a lot of fun to do! What also drew me in was their candy selection. While it's not a huge section some of the things they have are quite unique. Like a licorice caramel for example. I purchased a few of those and they were very enjoyable! Definitely a great place to swing by and take in their options. To one side of the shop it looked like a small wine tasting area. While it was closed when we were there probably it being close to them closing that is something to explore there as well.

This is such a great little shop. Not only do they have a wonderful selection of silver high…read morequality spices and delicious teas, they also have a great selection of oils and vinegars as well. I also enjoy the selection, albeit small, of gift items - always high quality and most often things I can't find elsewhere. The staff is helpful, but leaves you alone until you're ready. The new location is easier to access (slightly, parking in gh is hard any day) but is so much bigger the selection has gotten even better!

So glad that this store is open as now they offer some great deals and products that H Mart doesn't…read moreoffer! I love the meal kits to make different Filipino soups for those lazy days you don't want to cook. The produce here always look so fresh. Their meat section offers all sorts of cuts that you would need for recipes or parties. I need to still buy fish from them so I can have them fried as they offer that as a service. The staff here are always so friendly and professional. They also have a birthday offer for those who sign up for their rewards program which is great to have if you shop here every so often. The store is always clean and organized any time we come by. I do also love how brightly lit and decorated the store is. The food court here is great and we have only tried stuff from the bakery and PhilHouse but want to try the other offerings as well!

My husband and I were looking forward to this visit since its inception. We were finally excited…read moreto make it. Our first impression upon walking in was promising. This market is smaller than its competitor in Tacoma, but we found it well-stocked and organized, as evidenced by its bright, airy, and friendly staffed atmosphere. Our biggest dissatisfaction was with their ready-made meals--unbeknownst to us until we reached the checkout area, we learned that à la carte items are priced by weight. Normally, in other Filipino markets that offer ready-made entrees, a la carte items are priced by container size (S, M, L) rather than by weight. In essence, they were expensive meals to swallow (no pun intended). Secondly, most of what we purchased lacked flavor and content. For example, the pork sinigang was not sour enough, and the pork belly lacked substance because most were very fatty rather than meaty. The large container also had more liquid/soup than meat and veggies. Moreover, the chicken and pork barbecue were subpar, again lacking taste--exactly the opposite of how they looked while cooking on the grill. The pork sisig was probably our 'good' buy at best, although at a whopping $32.00+ for a large a la carte. We also purchased empanadas, puto bong bong, and taho at the bakery. Price and taste-wise, they were okay, but nothing to write home about. Across the board, my next trip would be to try out Max Chicken and peruse other specialty items. Otherwise, I would probably return to the grocery section to buy ingredients, cook, and enjoy a more flavorful meal at home.
