Oh! This was a good find! Steve and I weren't even planning on stopping by here or even knew of…read moreit's existence while trying to meet up with a friend. After we got done with our visit we had just enough time to duck in here and check it out. There are lots of spices and some that are not easy to find so Steve stocked up on some for meals at home. There is also a wide variety of balsamic vinegars with a wide range of flavors. You can get a spoon and taste different ones which is a lot of fun to do! What also drew me in was their candy selection. While it's not a huge section some of the things they have are quite unique. Like a licorice caramel for example. I purchased a few of those and they were very enjoyable! Definitely a great place to swing by and take in their options. To one side of the shop it looked like a small wine tasting area. While it was closed when we were there probably it being close to them closing that is something to explore there as well.

I also enjoy the selection, albeit small, of gift items - always high quality and most often things I can't find elsewhere. The staff is helpful, but leaves you alone until you're ready. The new location is easier to access (slightly, parking in gh is hard any day) but is so much bigger the selection has gotten even better!

I chanced upon 11 Olives' balsamic vinegars on a visit to Chateau Ste Michelle. I purchased a small…read morebottle of their Pomegranate balsamic and fell in love with it - slightly sweet with the tartness of the pomegranate. Recommended on salads, desserts, sauces and marinades. I simply add mine to olive oil and some spices for bread dipping. I went online and checked out their line of products and I am now a solid fan! They also carry a variety of infused olive oils (chipotle, habanero, garlic, basil, lavender, white truffle to name a few) along with a host of balsamic vinegars (fig, espresso, white peach, garlic cilantro and a variety of fruit flavors). They source growers from California and create and bottle their line of olive oils and balsamic vinegars in Seattle. Although I love shopping online for these products, you can also find 11 Olives at most farmers markets and food events.

Imagine my complete and utter disappointment after riding the escalators to all 7 floors of Pacific Place, only to discover that this business does not exist at its advertised address (or possibly at all, since no one answered my call, either). At least I got a bougie afternoon walk out of this, or else it would've been a proper disaster.

A Bit of Taste is a refined shop specializing in two things: olive oils and balsamic vinegars. The…read moreshop is essentially a tasting room, much like Woodinville's tasting rooms run by wineries -- in this case for a wide variety of olive oils and vinegars. While we first discovered these olive oils and vinegars in a similar shop in Victoria BC, they are available in Snohomish and on Bainbridge Island. In addition to olive oil and balsamic vinegar, the shop has all kinds of associated items -- pouring spouts and the like. While we tasted a great many flavors of olive oil, and quite a few balsamic vinegars, we keep going back to the same favorites time after time: * Traditional balsamic vinegar * Tuscan herb infused olive oil There are many other interesting flavors, but these stand the test of time. And while one can use them to make a great oil-and-vinegar dressing on a salad, our favorite way to consume them is with a fresh good-quality baguette, ideally made the same day by a real french bakery (like La Parisienne in Seattle). A little oil in a dish, a little balsamic vinegar poured through it, then a hunk of baguette dipped in the balsamic-tuscan-herb mixture. Yum!! The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, and it's hard to go wrong with any of the choices. Well worth a drive to get high quality ingredients. We are big fans.

When we came in we didn't expect the superb level of hospitality and service from Georgia. She walked us how to navigate the store and recommended really good pairings of olive oil and balsamic vinegar that was so much to our liking. I have never knew that you could even use balsamic as a mocktail. My mind was definitely blown by this idea. We couldn't just leave without buying anything after that careful selection and recommendations from her as she was super knowledgeable and sweet! I think this time we'll definitely come back with some families visiting. After this visit, we ended up buying the cranberry, pomegranate and peach balsamic for future mocktails and maple balsamic with tuscan olive oil.

However, I've noticed that this particular location has been consistently lacking in customer service--especially in the bakery department. This year alone, I've visited the bakery four or five times, and each time the experience has been disappointing. No one acknowledges customers, there's little to no eye contact, and the staff often appear disengaged or busy with tasks in the back of the section. When I do finally get someone's attention, the interaction feels rushed or noticeably unwelcoming. On one occasion, after waiting about 15minutes for my cake to be packaged, the staff member simply set it aside without letting me know it was ready. Situations like this have made it the worst bakery customer service I've experienced at any Whole Foods. I understand they have other responsibilities to manage, but a consistent lack of basic courtesy is concerning. On the other hand, I want to highlight the meat and fish department--they are always friendly, attentive, and hardworking, and it truly makes a difference.
