At the cabinet shop, where I started working a few months ago, we are running a rotary compressor…read morethat had seen better days. It was shutting down randomly and leaking oil. I was told that before I started working there, other service companies had come to check it out and couldn't figure out what was wrong. As our main compressor, supplying air to several machines and a spray booth, any downtime brings production to a near halt. Needless to say, we rely on it heavily. Delta was called in and they sent Devon. After briefly describing the symptoms, he was confident the shutdowns were caused by overheating. Upon inspection he confirmed such. Instead of telling us we needed a new this, that and the other thing, cleaned out the cooling system and (very diplomatically) showed me that with a little maintenance on our part, we can prevent this from happening again. As for the oil leak; Lou was sent to diagnose that issue. He was able to quickly determine the source and the parts needed to fix it properly. In addition, he went above and beyond cleaning up the oily mess in and around the unit. Between the work of Lou, Devon and the team at Delta Air Compressors, our compressor is back to being the reliable heart of our shop, that it used to be! Delta Air and their techs were a pleasure to work with. At all times I felt they were working, with us, not against us. I truly got a sense of partnership in their effort to reduce downtime for our shop. I would not hesitate in recommending their services.
