They even removed and hauled away an old cobblestone walkway entrance from our previous deck; taking that burden off of us. All this, and they finished ahead of schedule. We couldn't be happier with how beautiful everything came out. The deck completely transformed our backyard, and the added staircases and enclosure tied everything together perfectly. I first used Jay back in 1999, at my first home in the "M-Street" area. I was there long enough to…read moreneed them to re-cover the original awnings they installed, so they did 2 jobs for me at that home. In 2004, I needed a small awning over a back porch at a different home, and because of my previous experiences, I called them to do that install. Each time, I was completely satisfied with their work, installers and pricing. It may or may not make a difference to anyone reading this review that I have done a bit of contracting work as a "house-flipper", so have both a fair amount of knowledge and understanding of contractors. While this does not describe my experience with Metro, sometimes contractors drop the ball...they respond slowly or fail to call back. I generally give someone a 2nd chance, but after that...I move along. I have had good experiences, and while I am sure there are other reputable awning companies out there, I see no reason to "re-invent the wheel" and try some unknown entity when it comes to awnings in the future. As a matter of fact, I just referred them to a roofing contractor friend, which is what brought me to their site and prompted this review.

Sirhii and Nick were the ones that came gave a quote and later installed the seven steps. They did a great job installing the steps. They also repaired certain parts of the railing, by cutting and replacing steel pieces and by welding them. In other words they were equipped to handle the job, and also with the knowledge to do it. The second day Nick came and painted the whole thing. We are very happy that we had ETD do the work. Now for the cleanup......Nick came with a heavy duty vacuum cleaner to clean everything. The installation of the pavers was not done properly, confirmed by a third party inspector, so our $30K pavers are always wet and discolored. They NEVER dry. The pavers are not sloped properly, trapping moisture in our pavers - in any weather- winter or summer. The work was extremely sloppy, some edges were finished, some were left with bulging concrete. C&D is either incompetent, neglectful, dishonest or all 3. We have reached out to the owner Christ countless times for resolution to no avail. He won't take responsibility for the defective installation, despite it clearly deviating from the manufacturer specifications. 6 months later with no resolution and no reply to our last email on 12/23. Just don't do it, he's not a stand up guy and if you ever have issues - forget about it, you're stuck.

They even came early after they had a cancellation. Value seems pretty standard, which it was I could hope for. They removed the loose bricks, got rid of the bad mortar, and re-did the steps, putting the bricks back. They honored the price that we agreed upon and just went ahead and fixed everything, sealing every gap they saw.
