I don't get many pedicures but I've had enough to know I shouldn't be left alone several times so employee could finish manicure on someone else. I also don't think they really did much to my nails other than clip them. No running blade under nail or shaving cuticles. Seemed like most of it was foot massage . Went for a regular pedicure and was happy with it. The place is clean and they are friendly just nothing exceptional about it. It was only about 20 minutes so felt rushed but again they are very friendly and I was very impressed with the care they take in making sure everything is sanitized. They also have a great selection of polish colors. Two giant TVs if you go during football season as I did and a beautiful aquarium in the middle of the salon that added to the peacefulness. They prefer tips in cash, in fact you do not even get an option to add to your card so make sure you have cash on you. read more

Last 3 times i got my nails dipped the clear coat came off and start cracking within a few days. I Brought to staff attention and tried to show them my nails but they just force soaked them without even looking. I gave them a few shots bc i like location and its clean. I've been loyal to Amy's for years but I'm going to find a new place. Made an appointment for a pedicure (I took the time they suggested the time) and the place was very crowded. Everyone who worked there was working on multiple customers at the same time so no one got enough attention. I got one coat of polish plus a top coat. Two hours later it was already streaky and did not cover my nails evenly. Everyone was friendly but very rushed and did not pay attention to details. I've been getting manicures for over 40 years so I think I'm a pretty good judge of service/cleanliness / quality. Amy's is extremely clean (I've watched each basin be disinfected) all manicure tools come from a sealed bag. I've had about 15 manis from here and all lasted over 3 weeks! This is wonderful since in my job my hands are in water almost all day. Yes I try to make appointments but if I do walk in I appreciate that there may be customers before me. I'd rather be told to come back in an hour than sit and wait. They are a great addition to Lenexa! Give them a try. You'll love it! read more

Great pedicure. I got turned away from the salon that is closest to my house and was really in need of a pedicure Sunday. I called Amy's and was advised to "come on in". I have driven by Amy's many times and noticed the sign that says "appointments preferred", so I was pleasantly surprised when they welcomed me right in. I'm accustom to the walk-in process as so many nail salons work on this model. BUT I'm willing to adapt and overcome. Especially for this place. OMG! Best pedicure ever! Returned to this nail salon after a couple of years. Always a good experience in the past. Before arriving, I checked the cost of a basic manicure on their website-- $17. I was charged $18. I didn't question it because I figured that they hadn't updated their website. I gave the tech $18 + a $4 tip. While my nails were drying, I noticed that she recorded the service as a $17 manicure and a $3 tip. So....what is the accountability for the additional $2? Not making a big deal about it, but hope the owner reads this so that she is aware. Still a great nail salon in my opinion. read more

I scheduled a pedicure here last weekend and it was my first time in. I live nearby, so I was hoping I'd have a new place to stop and get my nails done. Right when I walked in the door, I wasn't greeted but told to wash my hands after a few minutes of standing there waiting. The one star has it all wrong! This place is amazing! I have been there twice...yes I always made an appointment (duh, at nail places here in the kc area you should only made appointments!) and I have always been seen right at or before my appointment time. Note they are a little low on staff at this time...but that's because they just opened and I like to think that means that they are only looking to hire the best so they are being choosy ! I was super excited to see this place open right down the street from me...I actually brought my mom and sister on my second visit. Besides the other mentioned things above...it is SUPER clean and brand new with a really cool salt water fish tank in the middle of the store, competitive pricing as well. I'm new to the area and came here to get my nails done after reading the Yelp reviews. After the first visit I would recommend this place to anyone! The facility is nice and the staff are super friendly. Amy takes the time to learn her client's names and makes sure to give you a friendly goodbye when you leave. I made an appointment both times I've gone and have gotten in right away. Also, both times I've gotten Kevin and he does an excellent job! Clearly says walk in welcome. I felt anything but welcome. I'm use to most salons having several people on hand to do nails and pedicures. When I walked in the people there just stared at me and finally who I presume is Amy said Yes? I asked if I could get a full set and without saying "can you wait awhile"? Can you come back? Can we schedule you an appointment? Or even having the courtesy to say I'm sorry we are pretty full or it's going to be Atleast an hour. Something like that instead she very annoyed said NO!!! We don't have time! Now I'm no rockstar but that's horrible customer service and stupidity on your part as a business owner. It's your job to go out of your way and take care of me whether you are busy or not you find ways to accomodate me or appease me. I as a customer pay your bills. So in the future you may want to rethink how you talk to people or maybe gain some customer service skills on how to resolve situations. My girlfriend and i made appointments for pedicures. We were on time and were tajen to our chairs promptly. I was only soaking for about 30 seconds when the tech started my feet. Gave me the menu and just opted for the basic spa pedicure. From there it went downhill . Tech was not friendly and basically rushed through the pedicure. We were done and sent to the drying area in less than 30 minutes. Guess if I had chosen the more expensive pedi maybe it would have lasted longer. Imagine that! :) plenty of staff to take care of appointments and walk-ins alike. They offer you water and did I mention they have candy out for the sweet tooth like me? I went her for the first time Saturday with a friend of mine. I had a pedicure and gel mani. The atmosphere is nice, clean, and relaxing. The pedicure was nice, although, mine was rushed and the leg massage was short. He didn't even massage my feet. I paid for the upgraded lemonade package, and my skin was very soft. My toes look great. I got a French gel mani. I get gel manis regularly, and they last 2 1/2 to 3 weeks. By Monday, one of them had chipped; and by yesterday, they were peeling off. Now my nails are broken. I expected so much more from Amy's Hand and Foot Spa, because they are so much more expensive than other places. read more

A group of us went there to get our nails done before a wedding. Within the first two days after having my nails dipped the clear coat came off multiple different nails. Now it's been a couple weeks and my daughter's dipped nails with length are already popping off. I have never gotten dipped nails where clear coat and nails popped off after a short amount of time. After finding that Amy's had the best reviews in the area, I decided to deviate from my usual nail spot when planning my friend's bachelorette party (a group of six). The staff were so accommodating! They had a small table set up with a nice table cloth for us so we could set up our snacks and mimosas. They had pedicure chairs ready and waiting for all of us. The salon itself was immaculate and very well decorated. One thing I really appreciated was their pedicure menu - At the beginning of the treatment, my technician (Wei) handed me a list of pedicure options with accompanying prices, so there were no surprises at the cash register. In addition to our positive group experience, as an individual, I LOVED my pedicure with Wei. She was always checking in on me to make sure that the temperature of the water, towels, etc. was comfortable. She was also very detail-oriented, making sure that there wasn't a single drop of nail polish out of place. Wei also put on an extra third coat just to make sure that the color was even.
