When I returned home early I went to pick up my dogs and was met with a frazzled general manager who did not have my dog's bed ready to go because it had been defecated on and was going to be thrown away. I never gave anybody any authority to throw my things away. I have an older dog and that bed had special features like bolsters that he required. After trying to remove the cover and put it into my car I was stopped and was told that the owner would never allow it. Well. I wanted to allow it. I wanted my stuff back. It was on them if they didn't wash it in time or do whatever they needed to do to make my dogs comfortable. With what I was being shown I'm not sure if they were ever were. So they swapped out my bed for another one that had bolsters. I was relegated to keeping their bed or not ever getting mine back. There's no amount of time that any of this was ever communicated to anyone who might have been listed as responsible for these dogs. Overall I would not recommend this place. It was extremely upsetting to learn that my dogs had such soiled belongings and hadn't had it reconciled by the time I got there just because I was early. I truly feel like there is a gap between responsibility: who is running this place? Are you out to lunch? Who is actually responsible.

Why are they the best? 1 - When you park to pick your dog up, they walkie talkie for your dog to be brought up front. Other places (including the large chains) take FOREVER to give you your dog back. I've felt on multiple occasions that my dog was being held hostage and that my time was of no concern at other places. 2 - They remember your dog by name, etc. At other places, I've been returned my dog and they say "He had fun today". Me thinking "Wow, SHE was here all day and you didn't notice she was a female?" 3 - Very warm, professional, and thankful staff.  Klode LOVES the staff! Sometimes I worry she loves them more than ME!   4 - Very reasonably priced, especially for the value. 5 - She NEVER stinks when I pick her up. 6 - Above and beyond customer service! 7 - Your dog isn't inside all day in a room with no windows. X-rays, 911's , vaccines, seems like my puppy has already been through it all and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Dr Rogers and all the vet techs really take the time to love on your fur babies. I have a Malinois and I was worried I wouldn't be able to find a vet that greeted us with open arms but wow these people are amazing. I'm super thankful for this place.

We're sharing our experience with Dr. Rogers at Royse City Veterinary Hospital so other pet owners…read morecan make informed decisions. Dr. Rogers had been Rockie's vet for over 5 years -- she was the one who originally diagnosed him with a collapsing trachea, a condition that requires careful monitoring and minimal stress. Because of that history, we trusted her completely with his care. That trust was broken. Rockie was left in a kennel for over 4 hours, barking, panicking, and under extreme stress -- the exact situation that should have been avoided given his condition. That stress escalated into a life-threatening emergency. Prior to that day, his condition had been stable and managed. He had never experienced anything like what happened under her care. We were forced to go through the trauma of watching our dog die and then be brought back -- something no pet owner should ever have to endure. Since then, Rockie has required ongoing medical care, including emergency treatment and multiple follow-ups with other veterinarians. He was later diagnosed with diabetes after being placed on high doses of steroids needed to stabilize him. Multiple vets have explained how this can happen, and we are now managing this as a lifelong condition. We have also learned, through second opinions, that procedures were performed that were not necessary. Although Dr. Rogers has acknowledged responsibility, we have had to fight every step of the way just to try to get the medical bills covered -- bills that only exist because of what happened under her care. Beyond the financial burden, the emotional toll has been overwhelming. We rearranged our lives to care for Rockie for weeks, missed time with family, and are now facing long-term health consequences that could have been avoided. We are currently pursuing legal action. If you take anything from our experience, please ask questions, get second opinions, and advocate strongly for your pets. We trusted the care being provided, and we are now living with the consequences of that trust being broken.
