I am one of those bride who doesn't really know what she wants. I have an idea or what I want, but nothing in detail. Before my hair trial, I emailed her a bunch of pictures I found on the internet, and during my hair trial, she gave me two styles that I really like. So, I ended up having her do one style for me for the ceremony, and she came back in the afternoon to touch up my make up and change my hair style to the second one. She also did my engagement photo session make up and hair. She listens to what you want, and give you recommendations. She's also very patient. She also did my friend's make up. My friend likes the sexy smoky look while I like the natural look. Amy was able to make both of us satisfied with the end results. Her pricing was reasonable for the quality that you get, and she's willing to travel around LA-OC area. I'm not sure beyond that, you'll have to inquire with her. You know, during your wedding day, everything is very stressful for the bride. To have such a great personality doing your make up can really make a different. AMY!!!!!!!!! SHE'S SO WONDERFUL!!!!!! I cannot emphasize how lucky i was to find her through yelp! She listens to you! She's NOT one of those artist where "oh, i think you'll look better this way" or "oh, that's a good idea, but let's do it this way". UGH! Amy TOTALLY delivered my vision of my hair and makeup! I think she uses mostly MAC. My makeup (AND HAIR) lasted the whole day!!! (4:30am - 5pm). I barely had to do any touch ups between photoshoots or events! It was GREAT!!!! She also gives you makeup touch up kits in this pretty little box! her little personal touches are absolutely amazing! LOVED IT!! She's VERY good with communicating with you!!!! I have a couple vendors who don't email me back for days, but Amy emailed me back within 24 hours! I communicated to her mostly by email and it totally worked for us! She's FUN!!!!!! Amy was such a professional at what she does. I really appreciated how prompt she was responding to all my emails. I went to her place for the wedding trial hair/makeup and she traveled to Pasadena for my wedding day. She was on time even though we started at 5 am, and finished around her anticipated time so we didn't feel rushed and started everything on schedule....which of course is one less thing to stress about on the big day! She brought a colleague to help with hair since we had 4 people who needed it done and Irma did a great job too. She was very patient because I was indecisive when it came to hairstyles. She worked on me for about 2 hours during the trial and did not make me feel like i was intruding on her time. She seemed genuinely happy about what she does instead of it being "just a job". Of course she did a great job on the hair and make up too. I looked like "me" on my wedding day with features highlighted, instead of how some artists make the bride look completely different Her prices are comparable to other make up artists. She will allow you to borrow hair extension pieces and accessories without a rental charge as long as you return it. When I started looking for a hair and makeup artist, I was looking for someone who not only can do outstanding makeup but also could do phenomenal hair stylist. I hired Amy to do my makeup trial, makeup and hair for my family and bridesmaids for my wedding as well as to do my own hair and makeup for not just the wedding ceremony,but also for our Tea Ceremony. Amy was flexible with her appointment times and it was always easy to contact her. On our wedding day, even with the constant flow of people coming in and out of my bridal suite, she was able to finish my hair and makeup with plenty of time left for pictures before the ceremony. I procrastinated in booking her and when I finally booked her, she already had a wedding to work on the same day as mine. Luckily the other wedding was later in the afternoon and she was able to fit me in.
