Tony is a great person to do business with. I had a few Video8 tapes. For the life of me I couldn't figure out what happened to my camera. Wasn't working. He was able to get the tapes converted to digital for me and now I can get rid of my old equipment. read more

I finally decided to have a couple of 30 yr old VHS road trip videotapes digitized before they crumbled into dust. I originally figured I'd have to ship them off to some service to have this done, but checked to see if there were any local options. Low and behold, AMR was half a block from my office in Novato. Tony, the friendly and efficient proprietor, had them copied to digital format on thumb drives for me and my friends and I picked them up the NEXT DAY, all for a reasonable price. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. read more

Tony did an amazing job with digitizing several dozen super 8 film reels that were all over 50-years old. He explained the whole process, gave me an estimate up front, did quality work and charged a very reasonable price. Most of all, he understands that these films are our family treasures and treats them as such. If you've been putting off digitizing your old film reels, audio tapes, photos, etc., now is the time and Tony is the guy to trust with them. read more

Wow finding AMR Productions is a gem. The owner is so kind, so responsive and so efficient. The store is amazing. He took old family films and a VHS tape and put it on a thumb drive. I am so impressed. I cannot say enough great things. Thank you for your kindness and quick turn around! read more

Very quick and efficient copying of a couple of medical DVDs for me. He even added labels to distinguish the two DVDs. A man in front of me was unloading a box of film reels--now that must be some work to transfer to digital format. Now that we know about AMR, we will dig up the various tapes in various formats of our son when he was a baby and bring them in to be copied! read more

I found an old Mini-DV from our wedding 20 years ago. Unable to view it I contacted Tony at AMR. He was able to convert it onto a jump-drive to view on my computer. Now I'll be able to surprise my wife on our 20th anniversary this September! Tony was great to work with and I highly recommend his expertise. read more

Add me to the long list of Tony's fans! I found an old video cassette with a movie of my grandmother's 90th birthday party and another tape of my wedding. I wanted to be able to share them with my mother and sister during an upcoming weekend visit. After reading rave reviews of Tony's video transfer services, I made an appointment with him to copy the video cassette to a thumb drive. Even though he has been very busy this COVID year with people going through old slides, pictures, and videotapes and wanting them transferred to other media, he got the transfer done quickly, in time to show to my visiting family. He also let me know that there was a bonus video on the cassette. It turned out to be a video of my recently deceased oldest sister playing the violin and leading a quartet in performing Vivaldi's Four Seasons Spring. The occasion was the dedication of Eduardo Catalano's Floralis Generica, a 25 meter tall aluminum and stainless steel flower sculpture at the United Nations Plaza in Buenos Aires in 2002. Particularly during this COVID year, it meant so much to me and my family to be able to view these videos of other happier times. In addition to being professional and timely, Tony offers fair prices and service with a smile. Check him out if you need movies, slides, or photos converted to other media. read more

Impeccable service transferring old tapes to discs and thumbdrives! Impressive office with latest equipment and a wonderful friendly owner!

I had an old VHS from the late 80's of the band I was in, playing a show at the venerable Phoenix Theater in Petaluma. Also had a VHS from the early 90's of our vacation home being built. I needed to get them transferred to DVD and a Thumb Drive, so we could enjoy them again. Seawood Photo in San Rafael recommended I contact AMR Productions in Novato. I called and Tony answered. Very friendly, told me he could take care of everything. I brought the two VHS tapes to him that same afternoon. Nice shop, and Tony was welcoming. Told me he would likely have them done the next day. He called me the next afternoon to tell me all was done and turned out well. I went and picked them up. Again, he was friendly and welcoming. He had made 2 separate DVD's of the 2 VHS tapes, but put both on the same thumb drive. (I had meant to ask him to do this, but forgot. But he knew. Thanks!) Quality was as good as could be considering the age of the tapes. Surprisingly good actually. Really great to relive my short-lived days as a local rock star, and to see the house being built. If you have some old VHS or Beta's lying around that you want to enjoy again without any hassles, go see Tony at AMR. Thank you Tony and AMR Productions for such great, friendly, and FAST service. read more

After 20+ years I was finally ready to transfer my 88 mm camcorder tapes to a format I could view. I wanted someone local so I wouldn't have to mail my tapes, someone with competitive pricing and someone that could turn the project around fairly quickly. Through my many searches and reading reviews I found AMR Productions in Novato. I called and spoke with Tony then brought my videos over to him to convert. My big ask was timing and a fair price. He worked with me on both accounts! He finished a day early which was perfect since I was getting ready for a trip and was planning on taking these precious memories of my son to share with my daughter. He was kind enough to give me the thumb drive and DVD for a great price! If you need this type of work done, he's your guy! read more

Tony is your man! My mom handed me a box of over 50 VHS-C and 8mm tapes from my childhood to convert to digital. I bought everything, did my research, and set aside time to do it myself. It did not go according to plan, so I decided it was best to leave it to the experts. I found AMR Productions on Google, and wanted to have it done locally. Not only could I go and drop it off, but Tony's prices can't be beat. He converted all 54 tapes in about 2 weeks. He sent me previews of the tapes and I was amazed at the quality of something that was over 20 years old being converted to digital. If you have anything you need converted into the digital age - you need to go to AMR! -Amazing Hospitality -Quick Turn Around Time -Great Prices -Quality Conversions -Credentials to Back it up read more

I found AMR Productions on the internet when I had hundreds of pictures that I needed to convert to digital form. I also had vhs tapes of family functions that needed to be converted to DVD. All and all, I've been to AMR Productions three different times to digitalize old photographs, videos, and even my wedding album done by Tony, the owner and master of the studio. The studio is in a great new location in Novato, with great parking and easy access. When you walk in you see a truly professional looking studio full of high tech equipment. Tony is a great person to work with, does outstanding quality work, and with super friendly and accommodating service!! I have used this company several times now. They have taken on my old Video 8 tapes, and transferred our precious memories onto a DVD-R. The last batch of tapes that I sent, some of the tape was sticking out of the cassette, it didn't look like we were going to save them, but a day later I received my CD's plugged them into our CD player and before my eyes were our family history, funny, sad, terrific. Thanks so much A.M.R. Productions. read more

I recently brought in VHS tapes of different performances I had done years ago, to have them converted to DVDs - after having had two 'techie' friends try to transfer them on their own equipment, without much luck. I had time on my hands during the quarantine, so I cleaned out my garage and found lots of old VHS and cassette tapes from my childhood and beyond. I know there are a fair amount of places that can transfer these old memories onto DVD's or a hard drive. But these memories were so important to me, I only wanted to go to a real expert in the field. Tony (the owner of AMR) is that expert. His store is filled with evidence of all the people he's worked with in the past and you can just tell that he really knows what he's doing. I was absolutely comfortable leaving a box of my most important memories in his hands. Tony is really friendly and interesting. He is very professional and so knowledgeable. He will politely answer even the most basic questions you ask, and he's very good at communicating with you if he has any questions about how you would like things done. I could not have been more pleased with the results I got from Tony. read more

We went there a week ago on Saturday, not knowing they are not open, but to my surprise, Tony was there. Someone else had called because their groupon was expiring the next day and he graciously offered to come in to accommodate this customer. Who does that these days? I too had the same groupon problem. I brought him an old reel of 8mm film my elderly father spliced together years ago to try and get a complete transfer onto a dvd. Having tried it through Walgreens twice, he felt they had miss some footage. I left the Walgreens versions for Tony to compare. Five days later, Tony calls to say the job is done and that it looks like the Walgreens versions were accurate. He produced a new dvd for us just the same. I can now tell my Dad, with confidence, that this is it. I had left the groupon as the deposit and owed AMR the balance. Tony said that since no new footage was added and since the reel was already spliced together, I didn't owe him anything more. Can you imagine? I tried insisting on paying for his time but he wouldn't hear of it. If you need any video transfer work done, go to AMR Productions. It's my top recommendation. Personalized service can be rare these days. The level of service Tony provided exceeded my expectations. I'm going to look through our old VHS tapes and happily have him do the transfer. Thanks Tony! read more

Over the years, I have had AMR Productions transfer old videos of my kids onto discs. He did an amazing job...and so fast! It is such a joy to have these memories preserved forever. I know that my children treasure them, too. read more

AMR Productions is my go-to place for all my video transfer and editing needs, plus transferring to different formats as well. I've priced a few other video companies and AMR has the best prices. The owner, Tony Revada, is very nice and is extraordinarily creative with his film editing. One example is several VHS tapes that I wanted transferred to DVD. Because the videos were old black & white from the 60's with no sound, AMR added music popular to the era and consistent to what was going on in the video. I identified who was who in the video, and they labeled various friends and relatives and put in some very sweet quotes. My mom cried with happiness when I gave her the DVDs as a Mother's Day gift, and I must say that I shed a couple of tears as well. AMR also provides very fast turnaround for rush jobs. I've had several work-related projects that I've awarded to them and they were able to accommodate my time requirements for a reasonable rush fee -- and did the work perfectly. read more

The quote on the phone was it could take up to 2 weeks to complete my video transfer. They had it back to me in 4 days!!! Very professional and very timely!! No complaints~! read more

Can you give 10 stars? Tony's products and services are fabulous. He's dependable and does what he says, a real pro. Nothing phases the man. I got back this mess of tapes back from him beautifully organized and labeled, good quality and bless his heart he had the patience to listen to the end of this long audio recording just to catch a little snippet of my son's voice. And he's a nice man too. He'll be getting more of my business now that I know he's there. Thank you Tony, million times. read more

As a Video Producer, I have used the services of AMR Productions for several years on many different video projects. I have never done a Yelp review before but have just started reading reviews lately when researching businesses, joining a club, or am curious about a restaurant, etc. This then compelled me to write a review for AMR Productions to give this business the credit it deserves and to show support of small businesses and Novato's "Shop Local" campaign. The owner, Tony, consistently exudes professionalism and I am always pleasantly surprised with the product he delivers. Tony is excellent at what he does and, just from the caliber of his customer service that is so rare in most businesses these days, and phony and contrived in corporate businesses and franchises, it's obvious that Tony truly cares. It impresses me that even though he is the sole employee, he always takes time out from his busy day to discuss my project, answer my questions and offer solutions and options; he has never failed at meeting deadlines, and, most of the time, he exceeds my expectations. I often leave a project with him and tell him that "i trust his professional judgment" if there's something i am not sure about; he has never let me down, and I have very high standards! Tony is creative, a problem solver, genuine businessman, he speaks from experience and his wide range of services are very affordable. I always tell him he doesn't charge enough for the quality of work he does. I highly recommend AMR Productions and wholeheartedly give it 5 stars for its state of the art technology, and good, old-fashioned customer service. read more

I can't praise Tony highly enough. My husband is quite ill and I wanted him to watch DVDs of our wedding and of the trips we have taken over the years. I thought that the cassettes had been lost when we moved a few years ago and almost gave up looking for them. Four nights ago I found them. I called Tony and told him the situation with my husband for whom we have Hospice care. Tony said if I could bring them in by the end of the day, Friday, he would have them on Monday. He said that if necessary he would work over the weekend to put the 20 odd cassettes onto DVDs and that they would be ready on Monday. And so they were. I appreciated it even more since Tony is usally closed on Mondays. I brought them home and from his hospital bed we watched a DVD of our wedding as well as one of the trips. Watching the DVDs brought joy to my husband who has had not much joy in the past several months. I am so grateful that I found Tony and I'll never go anywhere else for transfer work. When I left AMR I had to give Tony a hug for what he did for me and for my husband. Thank you, thank you Tony! read more

I just had Tony (the owner of AMR) take 12 of my precious family VHS videos and convert them to DVDs. He did this in two business days and they came out perfectly. I found AMR by way of a Groupon and was very pleased with the service. I had two Hi-8 tapes transferred to a DVD under the Groupon but had several more tapes I brought it anyway. Without asking, Tony gave me a discount on those and he had them transferred to DVD and were ready for pickup days earlier than he said they would be done! One of the tapes had a break in it and he fixed it for nothing. As another reviewer experienced, Tony wouldn't take extra money for it. He's a good guy, knows customer service, and I'm very pleased with the DVD's. read more

Look no further than AMR Productions in Novato for all of your data transfer needs! I recently brought Tony an old cassette tape of a live music performance for audio transfer. Not only did he make me the disc I requested, but he also made a second disc and a perfect jewel case cover at no extra cost. The disc I requested was perfect, exactly what I had asked, but the second disc was even better! Tony used his artistry to clean up the original recording, remove the noise between songs and seamlessly put the songs back together to sound like a live performance again. Really great service and best prices I've seen around. Thanks again Tony! read more

I went to AMR Productions to have my old movie camera films transferred to CD's. I came 1 week before Christmas, was using an "outdated" Groupon and Tony could not have been more helpful in getting them done and honoring my Groupon (which he did not have to do). He was so easy to work with and so efficient. I would totally recommend this company to anyone that wants to have their movie films transferred to CD's. read more
