This arco gas still has the lowest prices in the seattle area. Today's gas price was $3.95 per gallon for 87 octane cash price. The pumps are clean and work well. The gas station is easy to pull in and out of. My car runs well on arco gas. Many chevron, shell and 76 stations across seattle charge $0.30 to $0.40 per gallon more than what arco charges. If this arco station is convenient for you it's worth considering. read more

Zero stars for a zero quality location. Another review mentioned an employee that works here named Michael; I have been consistently harassed by him time and time again. But my last straw is when he raised his voice to me in the store, as I attempted to have a conversation with him about my car parked out front. In front of customers, he implied I was "following him" and asked me to leave his store or he would call the police and tow truck. My keys were locked inside my car for at most 45mins, as I waited for my roommate up the street to bring me a spare. I am not just some crazy person off the streets. This is my regular home location to fill up my car and he knows this. But instead he wanted to create unnecessary conflict with me, in front of customers. He has also been caught staring directly at my breasts many times and yet this is how he chooses to "help" a loyal customer. 0/10 would not recommend. read more

The air pump gag seems to be their schtick given the other post I read and my own experience a few years ago. I've been giving my business to this gas station since 1993 with big, gas-guzzling trucks and they just lost it. I stopped to fill up my aforementioned gas-guzzler and air on the way into the office this morning going inside to inform them the pump wasn't working. The manager or maybe franchise owner walked out with me w/ taking a single quarter from the register. He deposited it on top of my $1.50 and said - "sometimes they work when you deposit an extra quarter". I replied, "on a $1.50 pump?", "yes." he answered. He went on to tell me he "thinks" if I find the number to the pump company they "might" refund my money. Huh?? After expressing my previous experiences w/ gas stations refunding directly to the consumer he told me that wasn't true. They are not the responsibility of the gas station. I then shared how he was about to lose a long time customer and business over $1.50 and he understood and that was ok. As a small business owner myself, I would never make this kind of a decision. Every customer is precious and hard enough to keep without giving them a stiff-arm. I wonder how much extra scratch they're getting off that air-pump scam. If he's the owner of that Arco/AMPM franchise, business must be fantastic to treat customers like this. I pull up next to one of the pump stations located on the south end of your facility, get out, walk up to the cash/debit machine with bills in my hand, and YOU have the nerve to tell ME that this machine doesn't accept bills? The effing machine was taking them last week! It's not like I can simply back out of my spot and head to the other machine - of which you curtly suggest - because some old broad in a 70's Cadillac (yes, the kind with purple cloth interior) is staring me down like I'm the provider of her precious tapioca pudding. Arco AMPM is sort of a depressing place. I'd stopped by here to pick up a quick late night hot dog (don't judge me; I was hungry and the bright lights beckoned) and wandered through the doors. The place is set up like your typical gas station/convenience store with a fridge filled with drinks on the far wall, simple finger foods in the middle and a slushy/hot dog/hamburger self serve at the other end. The hot dogs had an unhealthy glow sitting under a heat lamp next to some hamburgers. I was reassured when they had an "eat by" time stamp. (Jumping ahead, after I took the first bite I looked again at the time stamp to see what *day* it expired.) The cheese and chili dispenser was empty and flies circled the onions and relish. I waved the flies away and dumped some on the hot dog. After staring in horror at what I'd done, I covered the evidence with a dollop of mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup. I'm not sure if this is the worst hot dog I've ever tasted but it's probably a contender. So you might ask, Doug, if this was so awful, why not one star? Why two? Well, it's hard to beat cheap. The gas here is usually the cheapest in the area and hot dogs are less than a dollar (99 cents). And it's also about expectations. If you're expecting fine dining at the Arco AMPM, then you're either deluded or live a sad, sad existence. So two stars for affordability. read more

Simple review. Cheap gas. Both in price and quality. Service is awful, you're lucky if you get them on one of their English speaking days. 3 out of the 4 times I've been inside and asked to buy a soda with my gas, they just nodded and smiled, as the cashier didn't understand what I was asking for. The often seem to have mechanical issues at the pumps, but the prices are cheap. I feel guilty every time I fill there, though, as the gas is garbage. The truck does not appreciate it. I wish I could give this place less stars. Tried to buy a cigar, wouldn't sell it to me and told me to return with my i.d. I return and he refuses to sell my cigar and says he doesn't want to put up with my BS. I return within 3 minutes with my boyfriend, he requests to buy a cigar and I'm standing right there, and the clerk says nothing. I know this guy knows how old I am. I've had my wallet open on the counter and opposite my i.d there was a picture of my 11 year old sister in my wallet, he began to make inappropriate remarks. Terrible gas station. Usually im not picky with convenience stores or gas stations but i can say without question that I will not be back. After being inside the storefront for maybe a total of 5 minutes (experimenting with the broken Icee machine and choosing items) the attendant named Michael exclaims to me "Hurry up. You need to hurry up, I want to go outside." I never need anyone in customer service to be over the top friendly, but this is no way to treat a paying customer causing no commotion. After filling up my tank, I realized one of my tires was pretty low. I put money into their air pump and was surprised how weak the pressure was. I actually lost more air in my tank. When I told the manager in charges that his machine made my tire worst and he wouldn't help me check the machine or even apologize said that he is not responsible. Drove carefully down the street to the 76 and the guy gave me a discount on the air which was much better. Never going back to this gas station. read more

This place is OK. They often have the lowest cash price for gas, it's up to you to decide if you want to deal with the headaches you'll find there. There are usually long lines at peak hours, the patrons act uppity and road rage getting in or out is pretty common. They recently installed a keyed entrance to the desolate restroom - and somewhat revamped it. It's not the most inviting location for a restroom - tucked around the back corner of the store in a small alley way. Would not recommend using it after dark. Just a hunch. Sanitation is typical for a gas station. The staff has nearly always been on a call on their personal cell phone during transactions, so very limited interactions beyond a basic transaction has taken place. Communication can be strained as often English is not a strong suit. Insist on a receipt if you prepay and fork over a bunch of cash to avoid any confusion. Of course, that's what the automated island vending feature is for. read more

Gas is cheap, although I have visited at least 3 other arco stations in the seattle area that are cheaper by a few cents (Greenwood/145th, Lake City Way, Aurora/105th (or 125th, I forget)... Gas is pumping more slowly that usual. Credit card authorization takes so long that I even went inside to ask about it. Happened today a second time, I waited it out, pushed the "speak to attendant", when it finally went through. Pushed attendant button multiple times, no response. No receipts last few months I have been there. If I want a receipt, I have to go inside and wait for him to focus on current customer, without even looking up to see who might have come through the door and just stood there waiting. I like supporting small businesses, but it goes both ways. read more

ARCO gas is garbage. It will clog your injectors if used long term. My car would barely idle after using it for years. Then I wised up and starting putting CHEVRON with TECHRON in it. Runs and idles much better now. read more

My review has nothing to do with the gas part of this station. It is what it is and it has no bearing on how I feel about this business. Every time I enter this establishment I swear it will be the last because I do not want to give my hard earned money to people who are rude and argumentative. I won't get in to the details of this particular visit, but from now on I will be going as far out of my way as needed to stop at another convenience store. Be WARNED! I do not recommend paying with cash at this establishment. I gave the woman $45 for my gas pump and the lady working pocketed $20 and only put $25 on the gas tank. The management said they would need to check the register at the end of the day. They never contacted me again. Basically they ripped off $20 from me and refused to respond. Tonight (SaturdayI 4/15/17 I purchased $32.72 in gasoline with my debit card. Received a notice from my bank that $100 had been taken from my checking account for this purchase. I returned to the station and showed them the bank notice. Told them about the fraud and they said I had to wait until Monday to talk to the Manager. Meanwhile other people can be defrauded! Stood 6 feet behind a little old lady who was pumping her own gas for the first time in a long while, is what she said. Prepaying with cash to fill a little Subaru Crosstrek she asked the clerk how much to pay. $60 dollars he said. I interjected and said that her little car wouldn't hold more than $45 bucks but the clerk would have nothing of it, drowning me out and telling me to wait my turn, six feet back. She went out to pump her fuel and I stepped up mentioning that he should go outside to make sure she gets what she payed for. There were two clerks at the counter, so this would have been easy. He acted confused at my request, stating what do you want me to do? She payed she pumps she goes. What do I do? I told him that he overcharged her and owes her some cash back. Again he says, she payed she pumps she goes, then added, "not your business." The little lady drove away and only put 28 bucks of fuel in her car. Total BS from these fucking crooks and I'm sorry I wasn't more assertive of the situation, either helping the lady at the pump or making such a noise that they call the cops. I would give half a star if possible. I went in to buy some snacks and toiletries. My experience started out amazingly. They had everything I wanted and even hot food too! But when I went to purchase my items my experience turned worse than sour... My grand total should have been around 6 dollars but when I went to pay it was OVER 12! I asked the clerk about this error but it was no error; at least on his part. He had put up a cheaper price but the item was still over 7 dollars. The classic bait and switch. That thieving bastard had planned for this! I reluctantly bought my things because I was in a rush for time. I was appalled that this guy believes he is in love with me because he recognized me the 3rd time I came in, which I came in because the credit card function of the payment kiosk outside wasn't working!!!!
