Beware that this place ISN'T open 24/7. Apparently they close at 10pm. The hot food also isn't available past 2-3 pm usually because they don't make anymore after their morning batch. The company should change the hours for their location. Edit: After looking through a few past reviews, this has been a persistent issue. Management is very incompetent in that case. I stopped into Arco Ampm Gas station toward the evening to pump some gas. I usually don't get gas here, but I had a $25 gas gift card from Arco which I needed to use and this gas station wasn't too far of a drive. I pulled into the gas station and there were only 2 other cars at the pumps so I didn't need to wait in line like other gas stations or Costco Gas. I went inside the store and proceeded to use my gas gift card. They cashier put in my pump number and asked me to side the card. Everything went smoothly with the payment. Then I headed back outside and started to pump the gas. The gas pumped at a reasonable speed and no issues with the pump. I did notice the gas price was $0.40 more than Costco's gas price for the same day. read more

I never get gas at Arco but desperate times means taking desperate measures. Not only did gas jump about $.60 cents since last week but some asshole(s) siphoned my gas and took my adapter cord that hooks my phone to my stereo last Friday. W/ rent and a lot of unexpected expenses came up, I was trying to cut where I can and I guess I am thankful to be spending close to $.15 cents less than the surrounding gas stations. With the Starbucks just next door, getting your much needed gas here is more convenient. Also the price is not too far from the Costco gas price and you don't have to bother with long-er lines. The hubs even said that whenever he fills up gas from here, it takes longer for the gauge to let us know that were nearly empty on gas compared to the other aforementioned establishment. This place claims to have Apple Pay and the worker can't even operate the transaction for it. He offered which he stated was the only debit option for payment with a fee of .35 cents as the Apple Pay requires a PIN number if you want to proceed. This place is a real scam so beware of the service or best to have cash ready for any transactions needed. The old man who worked the cashier while I was there this afternoon was extremely very rude. This man was upset when I interrupted him to ask why Apple Pay is asking for a pin while he was chatting on the job with another man on the side of the cashier. There are a whole new set of workers, so all Of them are trying to eat on top of what you're paying for! Double check your receipt, especially a short Indian man in there. Example: I went in to buy two regular Sprite, a cup of ice and two small bags of pretzels. It should be around 10 or $12. I got charge $25. Love that their gas is typically 10cents cheaper than most (thanks to my GasBuddy app!) and that it's conveniently nearby. But there's much to else to love besides that. I always find it to be too crowded and cars are parked every which way, blocking entrances/exits/pumps... soo annoying. They don't take credit and there's a transaction fee if you use debit, so I always have to remind myself to bring cash. Ugh - why is simple technology so difficult for these places to obtain? I was shopping at The Great Mall and was notified by my love that our gas tank was on E. I didn't want to pay overpriced bucks for the overpriced Chevron gas conveniently located in the Great Mall parking lot. Sometimes the most obvious choice is not always the best one. This place will always be around 10 cents cheaper than the stations around it. I'm not particularly a big fan of Arco since I've noticed that my gas will run out faster when I pump with it, but I can not deny my wallet some salvation when it needs it. Sometimes when the Shell gas station down the street will be the same price and I'll go there, but most of the time I'll stop by here since it's so convenient when I'm coming home from work. Dump and dumper experience. Math problem here if you are not good at math don't try. I walk in to the cashier to pay him for gas. I use two methods of payments. One debit card (att debit gift card) for the amount of $5.20 ( remaining balance on the card ) and added $32.00 in cash on top of that thinking this should be enough to fill up. Total amount now I paid is.....$37.20 ( debit $5.20 + cash $32 ) all of this is in ONE transaction. ( check attached receipts ) Cashier puts in $5.40 instead of $5.20 so he returns .20 cents back in cash to me. I place it in the tip recyclable cup he has by the register. This portion is shown on the receipt attached. I go back to my car and fill up my tank tank is full and I only use $30.63 to fill up. I go back in to get my change due. 37.30 - 30.63 = $6.57. The guy gives me a receipt and $1.17 for change!!! I turn away then turn back and stay inline to let him know I'm short in change. He tells me NO that's the correct amount!!! Now he explains that I paid a total amount of cash of $32.00 and I used $30.63. So my remaining change is $1.17!!!! So I ask him what happened to the debit portion I used to pay with. He explains you already paid for that!!!!! Is I haven't received gas for that portion nor did I have two separate transactions. I'm confused here. Still not answering my question. I got no gas for that amount and made ONE TRANSACTION to fill up. He doesn't get it. This is while another associate leaning on the side of the counter listening in and just nodding his head to everything his associate is saying. So I ask for a manager. The associate I'm talking to says "I'm the manager" now I'm thinking this is a skit from a Dave Chappell show about what used to be called Kinkos now fedex office (look it up) I'm still baffled by this. So I ask for a number to call so I can explain my case he tells me "NO, I'm explaining this". i turn and ask a person waiting in line and she tells me the same amount I asked for. I ask for another associate to make the math. After waiting in line still for the other associate to finish up with three more guests. He comes and does he math on a calculator then gives the correct response of $6.57. Now at this point I'm thinking great someone got it right. Wait the manager says. Explains his view to the associate and all of a sudden the guy agrees with him !!!!! I'm just shocked at this point and have waisted some 20 minutes or so to get my change back. I leave and say nvm I'll let the public speak instead. I'm hoping someone explains this to me plz. Ya I'm going back there today and having another word with someone who is better at math. Maybe they figured by now that their register has more money after closing it out from last nights shift and finally get it. This was bizarre in many ways. The horrible math these guys had plus the managers ignorance and lack of cooperation to even help me get a phone number to call. Insisting that he got this.!!!! Sigh. Writing about an incident that occurred at this AM-PM earlier today. I am a regular customer at this place for the last four years.. Buying everything from Gas/Sodas/Eatables etc quite often. I was here today and bought a large fountain drink. On getting to the cashier, I was told that every time I came into the store, upon walking into the store I should hold up my refill cup and show that I am here for a refill. This girl who said this to me was a slim one (short height and Hispanic). I am not sure about her name but she works in the mornings on weekdays and sometimes on weekends. When I asked her to repeat what she had just said she repeated it again with more attitude. I told her I was a regular customer and that nobody had said this to me before. I felt quite offended and dropped the soda and took my empty glass and walked away. I think it is extremely important for the management at this gas station to hire the right folks (with some basic customer service skills) so their business is not ruined. I am sure this person has in the past and will in the future behave in the same way with customers unless she is taught some basic customer service skills or terminated. read more

My friend and I were killing time waiting for another to finish a photo shoot when we realize we needed to get some gas other than the ones we were producing ourselves due to the gyros from the Great Mall. Waze GPS iPhone app pointed us to this place. Spent a few minutes wondering if Waze was on crack, as all we saw was an industrial area with a freeway overpass loaming large above us. No way, would there be a gas station here, right? Wrong! Out of the corner of our eye, comes this seedy, run down AM/PM gas station. Pricing on that day was decent, nothing to write home about. Though it seems like a place I would never want to NEED to stop at in the middle of the night (maybe it reminded me too much of Industrial road, Oaktown. lol), it actually was a decent place to stop. Don't ever try this repair shop. It's way over priced and the techs there treat you like that they're doing you a favor. I drove my car in and asked for a quote in replacing one oxygen senor. He said, without even checking anything, $200 labor in replacing one sensor, and then walked away to talk to the next customer. It's a 15-min job for one sensor and asking for $200!!!
