In doing research for the refill I found that Chewy Mail Order Pharmacy has excellent prices, and I always get good service and great customer service from them. The EXACT SAME MEDICINE was about $8.00 from Chewy. I called Walgreens, no mistake on their "cash price" for the medicine. No refund, no recourse. Reportedly Costco has good pet med prices as well. During my visit, I initially paid for gas inside the store; however, the employee entered the incorrect pump number. Believing the issue to be a system error when my pump did not activate, I returned inside and completed a second transaction. As a result, I was charged twice for what should have been a single purchase. After allowing 3-5 days for a potential automatic refund, I contacted my bank to dispute the duplicate charge. Following their review process, I was advised to seek resolution directly from the store. Upon returning to the location and speaking with the manager, I was informed that both transactions were recorded as completed at two different pumps within minutes of each other. I calmly explained that I only received one pump of gas and that the situation was likely due to an error made by the cashier. Rather than addressing the issue professionally or investigating further, the manager questioned my honesty and implied that I was being untruthful. I found this response deeply disappointing and frankly insulting. As a paying customer attempting to resolve a legitimate billing error, I expected professionalism, accountability, and a willingness to assist--not accusations and dismissiveness. The manager further refused to provide his name or the name of the employee involved, which only added to the lack of transparency and accountability. This experience has significantly impacted my trust in this location. SBHHS' prices were way too high and I had remembered the Fox was nearby and sells the same items I was looking for at better prices. I was warmly greeted in by the ladies at the front counter. In the front, they sell various gift items such as cards, figurines, plush animals, and more. There are household items, over the counter meds, and general goods similar to a Walgreens or CVS. They also offer services to pay utility bills. Anyway, I was there for the home health items. The pharmacy clerk also inquired if I needed any assistance. I was good. In between picking up items, I checked my blood pressure at the machine. After that, I picked up the items for a family member and checked out in the front. Parking in Old Torrance is not really that easy. There are lots and a structure which may involve a little walking. I was fortunate to have parked at SBHH and walked over. Great experience. 4 stars.

I was really curious as to how I could shop and walk out without scanning and paying at a checkout. Apparently, there are cameras and shelves are weighted, supposedly. If something is removed, it's assumed that I was purchasing it. There were helpful employees ready to answer questions, and they offered free reusable bags for me to use. I walked out with a few things and a receipt was emailed to me hours later. I was also able to see the itemized receipt on my Amazon purchase history. There was a minor mistake on the receipt for some taco seasoning that I was charged for since I picked it up to look at, but put it back without purchasing. Not a big deal since I got other items on sale. It was an interesting concept overall.

Despite having no customers present, both employees chose to stop service before the official closing time. This was unprofessional and disappointing, especially given that it occurred on Christmas Eve when I made an effort to arrive before closing.
